REPAIRS TO ROAD POT HOLES OF PKT A, B, D AND E AT HQ SAC AND AT 17 FBSU BASE, 340TRU, AFSC, 257 SU UNDER GE (AF) TRIVANDRUM

M&L for repair to pot holes any depth, not exceeding 1 square metre each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by applying tack coat using bitumen emulsion @ 5 kg per 10 sqm, putting in premix bituminous macadam well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 kg per 10 Sqm , blinded with 0.09 cum of stone chipping, 6.3 mm size and again well rammed (including supply of premix macadam, binder and chippings) depth of potholes exceeding 30 mm all as specified and as directed.

M&L for preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc, and applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen (VG-10) @ 5 kg /10 sqm complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for Bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete 40 mm consolidated thickness, with 6% binder content by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with paving bitumen ( VG-30 grade) any penetration using mechanical paver complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note:- In the event of excess quantity of binder content is necessitated due to mix design of asphaltic concrete, the same shall be provided by the contractor at no extra cost and no price adjustment shall be applicable in this regard.

M&L for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking Hot applied thermoplastic compound 10 cm or exc 10cm width (for lines, dashes, arrows, letters etc) and 2.0mm thick (excluding thickness of glass beads) and providing selecting glass beads @ 250gm per sqm as per IRC-135, finished surface to be levelled uniform and free from streaks and holes with special applicator machine including cleaning of surface to remove all loose dirt etc all as per manufactures instruction complete. Note:- The line painting shall stand out boldly and solidly without showing signs of brush marks or surface underneath. If necessary, the surface shall be re-painted until the desired result is obtained.

S&F in repairs Cat's eye retro-reflective type of metal body alloy of size 120mm x 110mm x 24mm with PAMA strip lens reflector fixed with and including stud of suitable size as per manufactures instruction complete all as specified and as directed. Make:- Model No. DA 972 of M/s Dark Eye or equivalent model of other approved mamufactureres from the list

S&F in repairs Road side convex mirror (ABS) minimum 800mm dia outdoor type, made of polycarbonate and mirror thickness not less than 3mm for traffic purpose mounted on 2m long and 50mm dia SS pipe Gde 304, fixed with nut and bolts and clamp system including necessary excavation and embedding in PCC 1:2:4 of size 450 x 450 x 450mm (using 20mm graded stone aggregate) type B-1 complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and installation in repairs of solar road stud made of poly carbonate ABS moulded body and shanks and PC top 3 Nos super bright LEDs on each side, also has diamond grade reflectors on each side for improved visibility, size of stud is 113 x 70mm with 15mm above the ground when installed. Weight = 780 +/- 20 gms, 1 No 1.2V rechargeable battery, 2.5V, 0.25-0.30W solar panel, complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F in repairs pre coloured (black & yellow) and UV stabilised potable Speed bump made out of PVC of size 500 x 350 x 50 mm with nuts and bolts / adhesive complete all as specified and directed. Note:- (i) It shall highly resistant to severe impacts and harsh weather conditions. (ii) Two highly reflective reflectors moulded in PMMA material shall be welded with ABS base plate through ultrasonic welding process and then fixed on speed bump so that dust and water cannot enter reflectors inside area. (iii) Metallic bolts shall be used for installation speed hump on road.
