COMPREHENSIVE REPAIRS WORK TO AIRFIELD AREA AT AF STN JAMNAGAR UNDER GE (AF) JAMNAGAR NO 1

Maintenance of runway shoulders and surrounding area by cutting of grass, plants, shrubs, vegtations and bushes from runway shoulders, taxi tracks, dispersal area and entire airfield area by using grass cutting machine with steel blade cutter/ nylon wire cutter, of Make grass/ bush machine cutter, OLEO MAC OR APPROVED MAKE including removal of all debries to distance exc 500 meter but not exc 1.5 KM complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- (a) The tenderers are advised to visit the site and make themselves fully aware of the area to be maintained as specified in the Schedule 'A' (BOQ) and particular specifications. (b) The grass, plants, shrubs, vegetation and bushes shall not be allowed to grow more than 15cm from the ground level at any time. (c) Minimum 6 machines with operators (un-skilled labourers) (including fuel/lubricants and spares etc shall be deployed each day for minimum 20 (Twenty) days in a calendar month throughout the contract period with minium 6 hours working time with minimum of 4 litre fuel per machine in a day. A recovery equal to double the rate for un-skilled labourer calculated based on the contractor's quoted rate per head per day will be deducted from any amount due to contractor in case of his failure to comply with the conditions for providing minimum number of labourer for minimum number of days given above. Contractor shall deploy un-skilled laourers alongwith tools & plants and machine etc to execute the work as per scope of work covered in this contract.Min area of grass cutting per day per labour shall be 100 sqm . (d) Unit rates quoted by the tenderer shall be deemed to include for the provision of making good the shallow pits, if any, in the specified area mentioned above and cleaning the site of runway air field area and taxi track complete all as specified as dirceted by Engineer-In- Charge in the Schedule 'A' (BOQ) and nothing extra shall be paid to the contractor on this account.

Deployment of T&P and labour for cutting and removing the grasses / vegetation growth in the surrounding area of runway, taxi track and dispersals by using tractor equipped with jungle jim and disposing off all the rubbish to distance exc 250 meter but not exc 500 meter complete all as specified as dirceted by Engineer-In- Charge. Note : Considering the working hours contractor will deploy minimum 02 Nos tractor equipped with jungle jim of each working days.

M&L for preparation of old painted surface of concrete pavement / black bituminous pavements / plastered surfaces etc over 10 cm width or girth by brooming down or steel wire brushing, scraping down smoke soot, mouls, moss and efflorescent salts and treating oil and greasy spots and applying Coat of synthetic enamel paint of any tints and any colour as approved in lines, dashes, arrows, letters etc using runway/ road marking machine complete all as specified as dirceted by Engineer-In- Charge. Make: APCOLITE IS manufactured by Asian Paints or equivalent of make Berger paints Pvt Ltd / Nerolac as approved by GE.

All as per item No 3 above including removal of existing paint but width / girth not exceeding 10 cm complete all as specified as dirceted by Engineer-In- Charge

M&L for preparation of old painted surface of concrete pavement / black bituminous pavements / plastered surfaces etc over 10 cm width or girth by brooming down or steel wire brushing, scrapping by mechanical mean ,scraping down smoke soot, mouls, moss and efflorescent salts and treating oil and greasy spots and applying Coat of water based paint of any tint and colour as approved in lines, dashes, arrows, letters etc using runway/ road marking machinecomplete all as specified as dirceted by Engineer-In- Charge Make:- Apcotrac manufactured by Asian paints or equivalent in Berger or Jenson & Nicholson paints Pvt Ltd

All as per item No 5 above including removal of existing paint but width / girth not exceeding 10 cm complete all as specified as dirceted by Engineer-In- Charge

Cleaning of PCC drain not exceeding 1.5 metre deep by removing of deposited soft / loose soil and other foreign materials averaging 30 cm deep and removal of excavated material to a distance exc 250 m but n.exc 500 m complete all as specified as dirceted by Engineer-In- Charge Note:- width of bottom of drain multiplied by the length of drain cleaned shall be measured for payment.

M&L for preparation of plastered or unplastered old decorated surfaces of wall, concrete surface etc by brooming down or steel wire brushing, scraping down smoke soot, mouls, moss and efflorescent salts and treating oil and greasy spots and applying two coats of white wash (lime) wash complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Taking down cement plaster on brick or stone wall etc. including racking out joints, hacking for key and scrubbing down with water etc. complete all as specified as dirceted by Engineer-In- Charge

Demolition of brick work or stone masonry built in cement mortar including all quoins, pillars, arches etc. but excluding ashlar facings, dressed stone work and precast concrete articles, complete all as specified as dirceted by Engineer-In- Charge

M & L for precast PCC solid block masonry 1:3:6(20 mm graded aggregate) (Type B1) exc 10 cm width and set inCM (1:6) complete all as specified as dirceted by Engineer-In- Charge

M & L for rendering 15 mm thick on concrete surfaces/ block surface in cement mortar (1:6) finished even and smooth without using extra cement for surfaces of Area Drain complete all as specified as dirceted by Engineer-In- Charge

M & L for PCC (1:2:4) Type B1 (using 20 mm graded stone aggregate ) in coping, including necessary form work finished fair and even surface without using extra cement including weathering slightly rounded or chamfered angles and throating complete all as specified as dirceted by Engineer-In- Charge

Demolition of cement concrete in ground floor and paving n exc 15 cm thickness and removing material to a distance 100 meter or under complete all as specified as dirceted by Engineer-In- Charge

M&L for PCC in surface channels and drains type B2 (1:2:4) using 20 mm graded stone aggregate complete all as specified as dirceted by Engineer-In- Charge

Deployment of JCB for levelling of shoulder/overrun that there are no ditched, debris etc of runway,taxitracks and airfield area for making uniform ground with desired slope complete all as specified as dirceted by Engineer-In- Charge

Material and labour for HIP (Reflective) stickers in various size and shape on different types of sign boards of Air field area using 3M ™ High Intensity Grade Prismatic Reflective sheeting 3930 to 3937 series of approved colour fixing with pressure sensitive adhesive for unique construction providing high levels of retro reflectivity for multiple traffic situations providing long term reflectivity and durability including AV 450 series colour vinyl stickers of various size and shape sign boards as writing numerals, alphabets, border and arrow complete all as specified as dirceted by Engineer-In- Charge

M&L for repairing pot holes / patches etc in existing cement concrete pavements by cutting out damaged portion around the pot holes with mechanical equipment into regular shape, 15 to 20 mm deep, removing the loose material to a distance exc 250 metre but n.exc 500 m and cleaning the cut out portion with compressed air to remove all foreign materials like dust, dirt, loose aggregates etc, priming the pot holes / patches with special primer recommended by manufacturer and filling with modified elastomeric concrete complete all as specified as dirceted by Engineer-In- Charge Make: Chokesy Chemical (Product Name "Flex O Patch") or as per item no. 1 or equivalent of make as per Appx B.

M&L for repairing pot holes / patches etc in existing cement concrete pavements by cutting out damaged portion around the pot holes with mechanical equipment into regular shape, 15 to 20 mm deep, removing the loose material to a distance exc 500 metre but n.exc 1000 m and cleaning the cut out portion with compressed air to remove all foreign materials like dust, dirt, loose aggregates etc, priming the pot holes / patches with epoxy primer and filling with heigh strength epoxy concrete complete all as specified as dirceted by Engineer-In- Charge. Make: Choksey chemical oras per item no.1 or equivalent of make as per Appx B.

M&L for raking out existing old sealing compound (grade B /PU Sealent) Manually without damaging the pavement) from expansion joint 15 to 20 mm wide and 30mm deep preparing joint by cleaning, with air compressor, priming the joint as per manufacturer recommendation, placing closed cell Polyurethane backup rod to control depth of sealant in the joints and sealing the joint with pitch free Polyurethane grey sealing compound conforming to BS-5212 (Type FB) and applying masking tape on edge of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top of the surface and to give a neat finish to the sealant and removing the masking tape after sealant is applied, the sealant should have MAF + 25 complete all as specified as dirceted by Engineer-In- Charge. Make:- Choksey Chemical Pvt Ltd or equivalent of make as per Appx B.

M & L for Preparing of old black top surface with brushing for removing caked mud etc.sweeping with brooms/Compressor Air and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc filled of voids with specially designed paste and applying Polymer Modified Emuslion (PME-RW)- Rejuvenator mopping of total cold liquid PME 1 Litre per Sqm (Undiluted) in two coats with minerals (1/8 Part of PME by weight) as recommended by manufacure of PME (after diluting with water) ,each coat diluted in the ratio (1:1) (PME:Water) and ensure uniform finish of runway complete all as per manufactures instruction complete all as specified as dirceted by Engineer-In- Charge Note:- (i) PME will be Measured and Paid separately under appropriate Item as 'Supply only'. (ii) Quoted rate shall include for all other materails components required if any Notes :- The tenderer shall cosider the following point/ details while quoting the rate for the item :- (a) Applicator : The work shall be carried out through authorized and qualified applicator of the manufacure only . In Case of non -availability of applicators, the approval will be obtained from E-in-C's Branch.PME Shall be manufacured by M/s L N Petro Chem Private limited (EMULCOTE) and M/s Hindustan Colas Pvt Ltd ( HINMAT PLUS-PME) or M/s Ooms Polymer Modified Bitumen Pvt Ltd or any other make approved by E-in-C's Branch. (b) Mechanical Spraying Application of PME -PME should be carried out mechanically to ensure homogenous mixture of PME and mineral filler and uniform application.

(c) Warranty :Two years warranty of materials performance and application performance to be obtained from authorized manufacture of PME. Warranty will include the fact that structure remain water tight and no further cracks will be formed,excluding damaged caused by natural calamities.A performance certificate for two years shall be submitted by contracator to GE on completion of work as specified. (d) Time Schdule-The commencement and completion of work shall be within the preiod as per site availability and users directives and the Contractor shall adhere strictly to the time lines by complying for all emergency requirements as per direction of users and complete the work satisfactorily in all respects within the specified period. (e) Covering old Runway Marking- To cover/prevent the old Runway Marking while applying PME Application. (f) Penetration value and Setting Time-PME must have penetration value 10-20 mmand Initial setting time four to five hours but not more than eight hours. (g) Friction Test- Contractor will make necessary aarangment for procurement of Poratable Skid Resistance tester (PSTR) and carry out necessary friction parameter as directed without any extra cost to the department.Friction parameter shall be between 0.35 to 0.60 after application of PME. (h) Filling Cracks- Care shall be taken to fill gaps/cracks upto 5mm size with mineral filer as per manufacture instructions.

Supply only Polymer Modified Emulsion in 200/220 Ltr drums complete all as specified as dirceted by Engineer-In- Charge
