SPECIAL REPAIR/ REPLACEMENT OF BER EQUIPMENT (DG SET OF CAP 160 KVA) AT FILTRATION PLANT IN MIL STN JAMNAGAR AT GE (A) JAMNAGAR

Diesel Engine Generating set 415 volts 160 KVA 3 -phase 0.8 power factor 50 Hz, 1500 RPM self exicited self regulated brushless AC generator installed including accoustic enclosure suitable for ambient at Jamnagar and confirming to condition under Alternator IS 4722/BS 5000, Engine BS 5514 /ISO 3046 DG Set ISO 8528-5 G2 with following :- NOTE:- (i) The capacity of Generator set shall be net after all due derating factors as per relevant ISI standard. (ii) The quoted rate shall be deemed to be inclusive of first fill of lubricant oil and final successful acceptance test. (iii) The quoted rate shall be deemed to be inclusive of 12 hours test run at site including of one hour on 10% overload in presence of representative detailed by Accepting Officer, all arrangements are to be made by the contractor for tests. (iv) Rate quoted shall be deemed to be included in making necessary holes to walls and making good to distrubed surfaces of match to original specification and connection up all as specified and directed. (A). Alternator:- Standard design alternator rated at 160 KVA net output at site after considering derating as per site conditions at 0.8 (lag) power factor regulated screen protected drip proof IP 23 enclosure brushless design with winding in pole faces, insulating class 'H' and voltage regulation of + 1%, at rated voltage from no load to full load. The alternator shall be confirming to IS 4722/BS 5000 and shall be inposition to generate supply with frequency regulation with in + 1% tolerace. The alternator will be suitable for topical climate of Jamnagar. (i) Insualation class - 'H' (ii) Temparature rise Class - 'H' (iii) Excitation : Self Excited (iv) Regulation performance: The voltage is kept constant with + 1% manual voltage adjustment within + 5%. (v) Frequency regulation + 1% (B) Diesel Engine:- Adequate capacity Diesel engine suitable for 160 KVA coupled drive independently above alternator and after considering derating as per site conditons after generating and reducing power consumed by accessories, directly coupled through flexible coupling, multi cylinder multi stroke direct injection, cold starting 1500 RPM,6 cylinder, in-line 4 stroke as per relevant BS 5514 /ISO 3046 with an overload capacity of 10 % for one hour in 12 hours continuous running complete with standard accessories all as specified and required for safe handling and operation salient features of accessories shall be as under:- (Rate quoted shall also include description in Srl No 1.01 to 1.03). Note: DG Set should mandatorily including EMISSION control devices to make it compliant to EMISSION limit as brought out in the GSR issued by Min of Environment.

(i) Fly wheel with housing. (ii) Cooling system:- Mounted radiator with fan & belts (iii) Cooling Water pump:- Centrufugal type belt driven. (iv) Exhaust System :- Exhaust System complete with exhaust piping of Exhaust gas turbo charger type Exhaust manifold. Silencer : Residential type Bellows (v) fuel System :- Fuel injection system with fuel injectors, fuel injection Fuel filters (vi) Lub oil System:- Lubricating oil filter, Lubricating oil pump (vii) Air Intake System :- Air intake Manifold ,Air cleanleer dry type (viii) Starting System :- Electric Self starter with maintenace free batteries including battery charging alternator. (ix) Starter gear ring Start and stop push button (x) Ignition key / Switch (xi) Handling and operation : Salient features of accessories shall be as under: (xii) Radiator with blower fan (xiii) Corrosion inhibitor coolant (xiv) Paper element filters for fuel, lub oil and by pass. (xv) Electronic governer controlled direct fuel injection system (xvi) Fly wheel housing and fly wheel.

(iv) Sheet metal components of the enclosure should undergo various stages of surface treatment prior to painting which leads to be better life of the enclosure against weathering action. (v) Special paint treatment with pure polyester powder / epoxy to be provided for better weather resistance. (vi) For effective acoustic / weather sealing a special type weather sealing gaskets, new frame rubber gaskets to used. (vii) Working space is to be provided around the equipment for easy maintenance/ repairs. (viii) Necessary cut out provision for entry and exist of fuel lines cable to be incorporated in the enclosure as per the requirement. (ix) A see through transparent window ( glass or acrylic) in front of engine panel to provided for monitoring the operation. (x) Ducting if required, bellows, mechanical hardware like locks, hinges fasteners etc to be provided. (xi) Deliverables. 75 DBA @ 1mtr at 75% load under free field conditions. The temp inside the enclosure will be within as per manufacturers recommendations above ambient temp. (xii) The enclosure should be proided with bulk head light fitting for inside illumination. (xiii) The battaries should be placed inside the enclosure beside the DG set on a suitable insulated plat form. (xiv) The DG set should be provided with external Emergency stop push buttom. (xv) The accoustic enclosure parts shall be of powder coated after pre treat ment process. The powder coating shade should be Genset Green. The base frame should be painted with epoxy based black shade. The following itmes are deemed to be included in the rate quoted for all DG sets:- (i) DHPP for testing purpose shall be supplied by the contractor without any extra cost to Govt. (ii) The contractor shall arrange for artificial load for testing for final testing of DG Set at site and the cost is deemed to be including in above offer. (iii) Testing of sound level should carred out at the site in presence of GE (A) Jamnagar. Rubber Matting : 12 mm thick and of size 1m x 2m rubber mat having chequered finish on top ISI marked 1100 V grade and each shall be laid in front of control panel and DG set as directed. Documents : Standard ducuments as per manufacturer specifications such as maintenance & operation maufacturer specifications such as maintenance & operation manual, parts catalogue, Display charts such as maintenance and oil change chart/board (for generator and diesel engine) and log book as directed by Engr-in-charge.

Demolition of brick work or stone/boulder masonry, built in cement mortar including all quoins, pillars etc all as specified and directed.

M & L for brick work with sub class `B` bricks using old size bricks straight on plan built in cement mortar 1:6 etc all as specified and directed.

M & L for PCC 1:2:4 type B2 in using 40 mm graded stone aggregate even thick finished even and smooth all as specified and directed

M & L for hardcore of gauge n exc. 63 mm, deposited, spread and levelled in layers n exc. 15 cm thick, watered and rammed to a true surface etc all as specified and directed.

M & L for moorum/ red bajri filling in floors or pavings, laid in layers n exc. 15 cm thick, spread, levelled and rammed including watering etc all as specified and directed.

M & L for 15 mm thick rendering in CM 1:6 on fair faces of brick work / concrete work and finished even& smooth without using extra cement all as specified and directed.

Supply & Fixing XLPE (Heavy duty) electric cables with Aluminium conductor 1100 Volts grade cross sectional area of size 150 sq mm 3.5 Core all as specified and directed.

Earthing with galavanised steel earth plate elctrode 600mm x 600mm x 6mm thick buried directley in ground, (earth pit not less than 2.25m below ground level), with the top edge of the plate not less then 1.5 m below the normal ground level, connected to GI earth strip of size 32 x 6mm thick soldered and riveted to earth plate,GI earth strip will be protected by using 40mm bore GI pipe (light grade) from earth plate to equipment and watering pipe 20mm bore (light grade), chamber and coping shall be made in PCC (1:3:6) type C1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate, RCC pit cover 50mm thick in 1:2:4 type B1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate reinforeced with 8mm dia TMT bar @ 80mmc/c both way with lifting hook made out of 8mm dia TMT bar duly embedded in RCC cover in lieu of CI pit cover with angle iron frame including excavation and earth work and removal of surplus soil complete all as shown in electrical plate No 3 of SSR Part I and as specified including charcoal dust, common salt complete and earth lead connected to earthing test point/main point and testing of earthing complete as directed. (Note:- Main earthing lead from earth plate to test point & upto 7.5 mtr to be provided and the cost of the same shall deemed to be included in the quoted rate).
