REPAIRS AND UPKEEP OF CERTAIN WOODEN FD MAP FURNITURE ITEMS UNDER GE (NB) VISAKHAPATNAM

Dismantling and taking out carefully old Unserviceable/Worn Out/broken components of Wooden/Steel Furniture without damaging the remaining serviceable members, furniture and Supplying and Fixing of the same with new components such as Prelaminated MDF Board, Exterior Grade, One side decorative lamination and other side balancing white conforming to IS – 14857, Plywood BWR Grade conforming to IS – 303, Decorative laminate sheets, Edge Banding & Finishing, Mild Steel Sections, Iron mongery fittings, Glass fixing/fittings, Builders Hardware, Tapestry Cloth, Foam, Upholstery & Diamond Button-Tufting , Plastic Cane, Cotton/Nylon Newar etc.and Wood Work made of 1st Class Hard Wood (Teak Wood), seasoned, free from knots and cracks, wrought finished including tightening the joints, pinning, screwing, nailing, wedging, applying putty, gluing, providing hinges,handles/knobs, polishing/painting the entire article with standard workmanship complete to its original shape and size all as shown on drawings,as specified,as brief description of items and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. All furniture items shall be painted/polished only after completing all repairs and renewals work etc, preparation of steel/iron/wooden surface by removing of old paint/polish by using grinding machine, taking out dents & filling metal putty/wood filler to the uneven surfaces, after thoroughly preparation the surfaces of the furniture articles, then apply spray painting/polishing with two coat of synthetic enamel paint/ melamine polish. The furniture shall be repaired/ renewed, Painted/Polished on site at Officers Married Accommodation after completion of BR/EM Welcome Maintenance works. Work will be executed inside the Barrack Store Yard of GE(NB) Vizag and at various sites as per requirement as directed by Engr-in-Charge without fail. All materials to be incorporated in the work shall conform to the latest IS Specification. Anti-termite and anti-bug treatment shall be done before polishing the wooden furniture. Rate quoted is deemed to be including the same.

S & F in repair 100mm size, Stainless Steel Handle, 8mm dia fixed with internal metal screws, fixed to various type of furniture article complete all as specified and directed.

S & F in repair magnetic catch with striking plate, size as per existing one, fixed to various type of furniture article complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for Repairs to TABLE of size 900 mm X 600 mm WITH/WITHOUT DRAWER by taking down the existing broken /unserviceable Top and replacing the same in position with new Top made of 18mm thick plywood BWR grade of size 900mm x 600mm with 4mm thick teak wood beading alround its edges duly fixed with suitable wooden screw all as shown on drawing, complete all as specified and directed.. M & L for Repairs to TABLE of size 900 mm X 600 mm WITHOUT DRAWER by taking down the existing broken /unserviceable Top Long Rail and replacing the same with new Top Long Rail of size 900mmx20mmx60mm made of well seasoned first class teak wood after cutting, made to shape and size as required all as shown on drawing, complete all as specified and directed.
