M&L for attending and checking the un serviceability/repair/rectification of Street/Security/Flood/Focus light fittings/Junction Boxes etc. any type/size/wattage incl connected items/services etc. by disconnecting and taking down unserviceable light fittings/accessories etc. from the PCC/Steel tubular poles of inner circle area & carrying out necessary repair/rectification/replacement of the unsv light fittings, wiring, connectors, holders, drivers, MCBs, other spares etc. and also removing carbon formed between OH lines and service connections of light fittings including reconnection/refixing after testing complete all as specified & as directed & to the entire satisfaction of the Engr-In-Charge.

Important Notes : (i) The Contr will be alloted complaints at MES Complaint Cell on requirement basis on all working days incl Sundays & Holidays. Sufficient experienced & competant Tradesman/Helper/Labour & allied Resources etc. should be deployed by him for completion of day to day complaints within 12 Hrs & 24 Hrs for major breakdowns from the time of reporting/intimation about the complaint. During urgent/emergent cases intimation/information about the breakdown will be conveyed to the Contr through Telephonic/Electronic modes. In the event of any delay beyond above mentioned time limit without prior intimation or genuine cause, Penalty at the rate of twice the quoted rate for each un-attended complaint shall be recovered. (ii) A complaint register with complete details of number of complaints received, number of complaints attended, number of complaints completed, nature of complaint, fitments/fittings etc. used in the rectification process with remarks column from User/MES will be maintained by the Contr & the same shall be updated on a daily basis with initials of JE E/M & periodic checking from Engr-In-Charge/GE. (iii) Quoted rate is deemed to be inclusive of the following & no extra payment shall be allowed on this account : (a) Cost of transportation of Manpower/Materials/Resources etc. to & from the complaint site. (b) Hiring Charge of items/equipments like Vehicle/Ladder/JCB/Crane/Gas Cutter/Welding Machine/DG Set etc. required for succesful completion/rectification of the complaint. (c) In the event of any damage to the property/assets of MES/Air Force/Other Depts, the making good of the damaged/disturbed surfaces etc. & matching to the existing finish has to be done as per their norms/requirement. (d) Cost of taking down damaged/old unsv/defective light fiitings & allied items etc. (e) Cost of Tradesman/Helper/Labour element etc. (f) Cost of minor excavation required for taking out/finding the cable loops/connections etc. (g) A joint inspection shall be carried out on a weekly basis for checking of serviceability of Street/Security etc. lights with Contr Rep/MES Rep & User Rep & points raised shall be noted for necessary compliance. (h) Any item/job missed out in the item description/specification but technically required for successful completion of the work/job is deemed to be included in the unit quoted rates. (j) Major Earthwork & new items required for repair/rectification like Light Fittings/Drivers/MCBs/Wires shall be measured & paid separately under relevant items.

M&L for cutting the existing hardstanding/PCC/WBM road/rocky surfaces at a depth of not less than 75 cm & 30 cm in width for passing of HT cables through GI pipes, returning filling in, complete incl finishing the surfaces by providing cement concrete type B1 (1:2:4) with 20 mm graded aggregate upto 20 cm, finishing to a uniform smooth surface complete all as specified and as directed.

Excavation in trenches by mechanical means n.exc 1.5m wide and n.exc 1.5m in depth for laying of pipe and getting out in hard dense soil old unsv Cables/Pipes incl connected items complete all as specified and as directed. M&L for preparation of old painted surfaces of PCC Poles of any size/type & applying two coats of weather coat paint of approved colour & grade incl writing of Pole Numbers & also painting of GI Pipe brackets & clamps with two coats of Aluminium Paint over a coat of red oxide primer complete all as specified & as directed by the Engr-In-Charge.

M&L for preparation of old painted surfaces of Steel Tubular Poles of any size/type & applying two coats of Aluminium Paint over a coat of red oxide primer of approved colour & grade incl writing of Pole Numbers & also painting of GI Pipe brackets & clamps complete all as specified & as directed by the Engr-In-Charge.

M&L for taking down the 16 Mtr High Mast Luminarie Ring with motor operation or in manual mode and check the serviceability of all flood lights of different capacities and replace with new/repaired lights of same capacity/rating of 150W or higher of same make to mainaitn balance in the ring includig applying dielectric grease, tighening of cable glands or any loose connections, nuts, bolts etc. by ensuring auto latching system at the top of the mast locks it firmly complete all as specified and as directed by the Engr-In-charge. Note:Copper trailing cable will be measured and paid separately. 2) No.of flood lights will be measured and paid separately. 3) The quoted rate also includes the cost of 2.5sqmm EPR insulated, PCP sheathed hoisting flexible cable for connecting high mast panel at base to junction box at top of the mast. NOTE for Item Nos 41 & 42 above : 1) Cost of use/hiring/rent including transportation of Aluminum Ladders/Scaffolding arrangements etc. required for successful execution of the complete work/Job is deemed to be included in the unit quoted rates. 2) Quoted rate is also deemed to be inclusive of all safety precautions/measures to be taken by the contractor for labour employed at the site. 3) Anything missed out in the technical specifications but technically required for efficient working is deemed to be included in the quoted rates. 4) Quoted rate is deemed to be inclusive of replacement of 1.1 KV, 4.0 Sqmm, EPR Insulated, Cotton Braiding & overall PCP Outer Sheathed, Class 5 copper cable all as confirming to IS-9968-1 specifications for connection of High Mast Lighting System from Feeder Pillar / LT Control Boards for High Mast Lighting System. 5) Repair/replacement of 150W or higher rating LED Flood Lights shall be measured & paid separately under relevant items.
