COMPREHENSIVE MAINTENANCE OF DG SETS , AMF PANELS AND ITS CONNECTED ITEMS AT AF STN JAMNAGAR UNDER AGE E/M (ELECT) OF GE (AF) JAMNAGAR NO. 1

Note for all items of this BOQ:- (i) Contractor’s special attention is invited that whenever defect will occur in the DG set the same shall be intimated to contractor / their authorized supervisor through telephone / email by the Engineer-In-Charge. The defects will be attended by the contractor within 24 hours from the time of intimation. In case of major fault in the DG set which cannot be rectified within 24 hours, contractor will submit documentary evidence from authorized service centre of DG set that within what period defect will be rectified........

........... Soon after the work order is placed, contractor will intimate the telephone nos of himself & their authorized supervisors & email id for communicating the defects of DG Set. Engineer-In-Charge will maintain the necessary records, indicating the location & capacity of DG SET, nature of defect in the DG set, and time & date of intimation of defect to contractor / their supervisor.

(ii) In case contractor fails to rectify the defect within 24 hours for minor defect or within time limit intimated by the authorized service centre of DG set for major fault, a penalty will be imposed to contractor at the rate of Rs 5000.00 (Rupees five thousand) per day or part thereof or maximum up to Rs 25,000.00 (twenty five thousend). This amount will be deducted from the RAR / FB of the contract.

M&L for repairing / servicing of DG set of capacity 10 to 15 KVA (Make : Kirloskar), silent type DG set, by dismantling of sub assembly like injectors, governor, self starter, dynamo engine wiring, terminal contacts and safety controls, exhaust system, fuel pump etc including arresting leakage of oil sump and replacement of defective spare parts, such as oil filter, diesel filter, air filter, gaskets miscellaneous nut bolt etc and reassembling the sub assembly after carrying out necessary repairs including testing of DG set for smooth running on proper load to the satisfaction of Engineer-In-Charge all as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Note : (i) Quoted rates shall be deemed to include cost of oil filter, diesel filter, air filter, gaskets miscellaneous nut bolt etc however other defective spare parts, will be measured and paid separately under relevant items of BOQ as supply and fix in repair only.

(ii) All spare parts shall be as per the recommendation of original equipment manufacturer. (iii) Repairs to radiator / alternator will be measured and paid for separately under relevant items of BOQ. (iv) Engine oil will be measured & paid separately as supply only under respective item of BOQ.

(v) Servicing of DG Set shall be carried out through the authorised service center of the original equipment manufacturer. (vi) Servicing of DG Set shall be carried out two times during contract period at the interval of 6 months and shall be measured & paid two times per DG set. (vi) Servicing certificate provided by contractor and servicing is valid for one year.

Material and Labour for cleaning of dust particles from inside the AMF Panel by air blowers, tightening of loose connections, filling of gaps with sealants, removing of vegetation, surface dressing surrounding the panel, welding of damaged panel doors, fixing of hinges, providing locking arrangements, applying one coat of primer, painting of panel with two coats synthetic enamel paint of existing colour complete including providing lock all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.

M&L for taking out fuel tank from 200 KVA DG Set, welding / brazing at all leakage joint to make leakproof & reinstalled as specified & directed by Engg-in-charge.

Supply & fix in repair AMF controller of 400 KVA DG Set of existing make complete (officer Mess) all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge. Make: As recommended by OEM and approved by the GE.

Supply & fix in repair AMF controller of 160 KVA DG Set of existing make complete (Power House) all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge. Make: As recommended by OEM and approved by the GE.
