Repair & overhauling of Idler Safety NRV assembly of OPU of Unit-1 at Giri Power House. The works involves grounding the main bore and lapping to good finish, fabrication of new piston suited inside the ground bore of the body to a good clearance, fabrication of new needle suited to the piston bore to a good clearance, the differential of the idler has to be set at 25 kg/cm2 blow up and reset at 22 kg/cm2, overhauling of the safety valve and replacement of all springs, the safety valve has to be set at 27 kg/cm2, the damaged NRV seat has to be ground, the damaged piston face to be ground and lapped and finally fixing of repaired assembly complete in all respects and testing and commissioning to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge.
