SCHEDULE 'A' PART-I (B/R PORTION)

M&L for repairs to potholes of any depth, not exc 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to atleast 25 mm in depth, making good by applying tack coat @ 5 kg per 10 sqm using paving bitumen of grade VG- 30, putting in premixed bituminous macadam specified for thin bituminous carpet (20mm thick) with 0.27 cum of stone chipping mixed with 14.60 Kg binder (paving bitumen of grade VG- 30), well rammed and sealed with premixed liquid seal coat @9.8 kg of binder (paving bitumen of grade VG- 30) per 10 sqm, blinded with 0.09 cum of stone chippings 6.3 mm size and again well rammed (including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings) depth of potholes exc 30 mm , rolled and compacted with 8-10 ton power roller complete all as specified and as directed.

Preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with mechanical air compressor to remove all loose dirt and applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen VG-30 @ 5 kg per 10 sqm over existing black top surfaces complete all as specified and directed.

Bituminous premixed semi dense asphaltic concrete (SDAC) 40 mm consolidated thickness using 5.5% paving bitumen content (VG-30) and minimum 2% cement as filler by weight of total mix, using hot mix plant and laid with self propelled mechanical paver fixed with electronic sensor and hydraulic controls, rolled and compacted with 8 to 10 tonne power roller to uniform surfaces with required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed. Note: - Semi Dense asphaltic bituminous concrete shall be designed as specified and binder content shall be provided as per design mix. The contractor shall quote his unit rate considering the bitumen content as 5.5%. Any variation in binder content on minus side shall be adjusted at the rate of Rs.50.00 per kg of binder. No adjustment in price shall be made if the variation is on plus side.

M&L for preparing new or previously treated road surfaces to receive painting and painting lines, dashes, arrows, letters, etc. on roads, pavements and the like n exc 10cm wide with road marking paint, white or golden yellow complete all as specified and as directed.
