The work includes dismantling and removal of existing damaged MS chequered plates, supply, fabrication, fitting and installation of new MS chequered sheet working platforms of size 7.5 feet (width) × 21 feet (length), including cutting, welding, fixing with MS angles/channels (where required), nuts & bolts, surface preparation, primer and two coats of approved paint, complete in all respects to ensure safe working conditions. Total number of platforms: 07 Nos. Size of one platform: Width = 7.5 ft = 2.286 m Length = 21 ft = 6.401 m Area of one platform = 2.286 × 6.401 ≈ 14.64 sqm Total area for 07 platforms = 14.64 × 7 ≈ 102.48 sqm Dismantling steel work manually Area per platform = 14.64 sqm Total platforms = 07 Nos. Total area = 14.64 × 7 = 102.48 sqm Assuming existing chequered sheet thickness ≈ 6 mm, Unit weight of MS plate (6 mm) ≈ 47 kg/sqm Weight of chequered sheets: 102.48 sqm × 47 kg/sqm ≈ 4,816 kg B. Existing Steel Supports and Stiffeners (Partial Dismantling) Existing MS angles/channels partially dismantled and replaced have been conservatively considered as 10% (Wastage) of chequered sheet weight, considering reuse of some members: 4816 × 0.10 ≈ 481.6 Kgs. C. Total Steel to be Dismantled MS chequered sheets 4816 MS angles/channels (partial) 481.6 Total dismantled steel 5297.6

Providing and fixing of 8 mm to 10 mm thk (As per requirement of site) MS chequered plate in required thickness including cutting, welding, fixing, complete. - 102.48 sqm × 47 kg/sqm ≈ 4,816 kg B. Existing Steel Supports and Stiffeners (Partial Dismantling) Existing MS angles/channels partially dismantled and replaced have been conservatively considered as 10% (Wastage) of chequered sheet weight, considering reuse of some members: 4816 × 0.10 ≈ 481.6 Kgs. C. Total Steel to be Dismantled MS chequered sheets 4816 MS angles/channels (partial) 481.6 Total dismantled steel 5297.6

Providing and fixing MS angles/channels (65mm x 65mm x 6 mm) for stiffening and supports platform requirement (approx.): Peripheral framing using MS angles/channels along all four sides (7.5 ft × 2 + 21 ft × 2) = 57 ft ≈ 17.4 m Intermediate stiffeners (cross members) at approx. 1.0 m spacing 5 Nos. × 7.5 ft = 37.5 ft ≈ 11.4 m Total length per platform: 17.4 m + 11.4 m ≈ 28.8 m For 07 platforms: 28.8 m × 7 = 201.6 m Considering MS angle/channel section (average) of 65 mm × 65 mm × 6 mm or equivalent, Standard unit weight ≈ 5.8 kg/m Total steel quantity: 201.6 m × 5.8 kg/m ≈ 1,169 kg ≈ 1.17 MT

Painting with synthetic enamel paint over steel work, two coats Basis of Measurement: Painting has been considered for all exposed steel surfaces, including: Top and bottom surfaces of MS chequered plates. Exposed faces of MS angles/channels used for framing and stiffeners. A. MS Chequered Sheet Platforms Total area of chequered sheets (top surface): 102.48 sqm Bottom surface (considered @ 100% of top area): 102.48 sqm Total chequered sheet painting area: 102.48 × 2 = 204.96 sqm B. MS Angles/Channels (Structural Supports) Quantity of structural steel = 0.80 MT As per standard DSR practice, average painting surface area for structural steel ≈ 25 sqm per MT. Painting area for MS angles/channels: 0.80 × 25 = 20.00 sqm C. Total Paintable Area Component Area (sqm) MS chequered sheets (both sides) 204.96 MS angles/channels 20.00 Total area 224.96 sqm (≈ 220 sqm adopted) For conservatism and ease of execution, the paintable area has been rounded down to 220 sqm.
