Replacement of Barbed Wire and Concertina Coil except Angle Iron Post in AOR of BOP Bhanga and Sheralipur of 170 Bn BSF under SHQ BSF Silchar

Earth work in rough excavation, banking excavated earth in layers not exceeding 20cm in depth, breaking clods, watering, rolling each layer with ½ tonne roller or wooden or steel rammers, and rolling every 3rd and top-most layer with power roller of minimum 8 tonnes and dressing up in embankments for roads, flood banks, marginal banks and guide banks or filling up ground depressions, lead upto 50 m and lift upto 1.5 m : All kinds of soil.

Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering - All work up to plinth level 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand (zone-III) derived from natural sources : 4 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size derived from natural sources)

Applying priming coat: With ready mixed red oxide zinc chromate primer of approved brand and manufacture on steel galvanised iron/ steel works

Painting with synthetic enamel paint of approved brand and manufacture of required colour to give an even shade : One or more coats on old work.

Supplying and fixing turn buckles and straining bolts for barbed wire fencing.

Removing old existing synthetic enamel paint and the like by scrapping by using grinder or wire brush or sand papering and preparing the surface smooth including necessary repairs to scratches etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.

P/F G.I. barbed wire. of size 2.50 N/mm (Size designation - 2) type A (weight to be not less than 108 gms per meter length of barbed wire), conforming to I.S. code 278 : 2009 duly dipped in anticorrosive bitumastic paint twice. fixing to the existing M.S. angle iron posts placed at 3.00 mtr c/c and in upto height of 20 horizontal rows including 2.5 mm dia clips / stapples 50mm long in horizontal rows, diagonals, and weavings etc complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. (Payment to be made per mtr cost of total length of barbed wire used.)

Providing ,laying and fixing of galvanised punched tape concertina coil 1050 mm dia having galvanised spring steel core wire of 2.6 mm dias cold drawn steel punched tape of low corbon steel having series of sharp barbs uniformly punched along its length, 550 barbs on periphery per revolution crimped on steel spring core wire,galvanised clips, GI steel,wire handle hooked to coil for handling MS square bar spikes hooked to coil having pointed faces for anchorage and weight 15.20 kg per coil including spreading of each coil 10 metre lenght and adequaley tied to existing GI barbed wire fencing and fencing post GI wire of not less than 16 gauge at every 1000 mm spacing ,tying of handle of succeeding coil with proceeding coil with GI wire of not less than 16 gauge , properly anchoring of spikes at start and end if coil in precast cement concrete blocks of size 20 x 20x 20 cm . and of mix 1:2:4(1 cement : 2 coarse sand : 4 graded stone aggregate of 20 mm nominal size) for bottom layer applying anticorrosive bitumastic paint(IS-158) of approved brand and manufacture in black shade on concertina coil to give a smooth and even shade by dipping in paint twice complete as per drawing and direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Credit to Govt. by dismantling and taking away the G.I. barbed wire (total 50 rows) and concertina coil (in 02 rows), including dismantling and removing all such dismantled materials form the site. Clearing and cleaning the site form all such dismantled materials & small pieces, all complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. Note:-i) The contractor shall make themselves acquainted with existing pattern of three rows fencing as per the actual site ii.) this item is applicable for fencing actually available at site on "as is where is basis". iii) All the dismantled materials viz. barbed wire, concertina coils. Tightening bolts, hooks, pins, nuts & bolts shall be the property of contractor for further disposal.
