Development of Vertical Garden at Bidhannagar campus of VECC, 1/AF, Bidhannagar, Kolkata-700 064

GENERAL NOTES: 1) Debris generated from this work shall be disposed off by the contractor outside departmental premises by mechanical transport etc. without any extra cost to the department and/or as instructed by Engineer-In-Charge. During execution of work Contractor should maintain proper safety measures and provide proper insurance coverage to all work men to be engaged in this work. Contractor should quote rates accordingly. 2) Bidders must visit the site before submission of tender. 3) Above mentioned work will be executed at Bidhannagar campus of VECC. Bidders are requested to quote rates accordingly. 4) Rate of each item shall include the cost of manpower, materials, tools & tackles, scaffolding etc. at all level including GST and all other taxes etc. 5) Contractor has to be very careful so that no nuisance is created or users are not disturbed during execution of the work. Labours engaged should be well behaved/good mannered. 6) Security regulation and rules of DAE shall be strictly followed during deployment of materials and work force. The work should be done satisfying all safety aspects and insurance coverage, ESI for all workers to be involved in this job is a mandatory requirement and contractor should quote rates accordingly. PPE’S such as safety shoe, helmet with chin strap, safety belts, safety goggles, safety shoes, welding shields, gloves, vici wear etc. are compulsory for all workers. 7) Copies of challan for the materials brought inside campus shall be submitted for reference & record of the department. 8) Time schedule as mentioned in NIT shall be strictly adhered to. The work should be carried out even on extended time period if required and for that special permission has to be obtained from competent authority.

In RHS (Rectangular hollow section), SHS (Square Hollow section) CHS (Circular hollow section) of M/S TATA under brand "STRUCTURA'' or equivalent.

Providing & installing factory-made approved manufacturer accessories e.g. black rectangular PVC type pots (Length-120 mm, Width-120 mm, Height-130 mm, approx. weight of empty pot-60g) hanging at black PVC frame (size: 18 inch × 6 inch) of 15 mm thickness. Pots are hanging with PVC frame rigidly (by clamping system) which connected with main mild steel structure by stainless steel screws for holding properly, making vertical garden throughout the structure, for each and every frames of the vertical gardening system. All PVC pots are to be filled with good quality growing media @ 280-300g/pot (Garden Soil: Farm Yard manure or Vermicompost: Cocopeat: Perlite at the ratio 4:1:1:1). Providing & installing plantation at each pots by decorative type plants (which survive in direct sunlight) viz. Syngonium Red, Pandanus Golden Variegated, Rhoeo tricolor variegated, Asparagus densiflorus, Caladium variegated, Wedelia trilobata, Chlorophytum/ Ribbon Grass, Iresine herbstii, Song of India, Sedum Golden Moss, Dracaena marginata tricolor in each pot all complete as per specification, drawing, etc. including all labours, tools, tackles at all height & level, special accessories etc. all complete by making whole system (Vertical Garden) as directed by EIC. N.B. 1. All accessories including saplings etc. to be get approved by the Department before procurement. 2. Rate shall include for installing of complete vertical gardening work including all accessories, labour, tools, tackles all-inclusive to make complete system of vertical garden. 3. Availability of ISO certification of manufacturer of pots, frames etc. to be furnished to the Department on demand at time of supplies. 4. Test Report of pots, frames etc. to be supplied to the Buyer on demand. 5. Approx. pot number (pots should be filled with growing media and plants) should be 2700 nos.
