Filling of voids and small openings in the upstream concrete surface for making levelled base for resurfacing work with high strength, non- shrink, UV resistant, abrasion and chemical resistant, impermeable cementitious mortar having minimum adhesive bond strength of 2 Mpa and conforming to EN 1504-3 “Class R 4” standards for structural and non structural repairs after cleaning with approved special chemical and with pressure water jet for removing fungi, algae etc., and applying approved bond coat over the parent concrete surface having minimum adhesive bond strength of 2 Mpa; including cost of all materials, labour, scaffolding, curing etc., using necessary safety equipments and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
Re surfacing with high strength, non- shrink, UV resistant, abrasion and chemical resistant, impermeable cementitious mortar having minimun adhesive bond strength of 2MPa and confirming to EN 1504-3 standards for a minimum thickness of 12mm or more on the concrete surface of the spillway piers and adjacent areas; including cost of all materials, labour, scaffolding, curing etc., using necessary safety equipments and as directed by the Engineer in Charge. (Resurfacing to be carried out after chipping and cleaning with special chemical of approved quality, followed by pressure water jet for removing fungi, algae etc., and applying suitable bond coat over the parent concrete surface)
Nipple grouting after inserting 6 to 8 mm diameter, metallic or plastic nipples along cracks, openings and lift joints in the concrete surface using low viscous, non shrink grout conforming to approved standards through these nipples including cost of all materials, labour etc., complete as directed by the Engineer in Charge. (Nipples shall be properly fixed using epoxy putty. The entire joint shall be sealed using high strength cementitious mortar properly so that grout does not come out during grouting. After nipples are well set firmly, continuous grouting shall be done)
Repairing and sealing of vertical and horizontal lift joints and other similar openings/cracks in the concrete surface of piers and u/s area, by forming a v-shaped groove to a depth of 4 to 5 cms or more, applying a bond coat on the groove surface after cleaning with air blower and water jet and sealing the groove using special cementitious repair mortar to get complete watertightness; including cost of all materials, labour, scaffolding, curing etc using necessary safety equipments and as directed by the Engineer in Charge. The cementitious repair mortar shall be “high strength, non- shrink, UV resistant, abrasion and chemical resistant, impermeable repair mortar conforming to EN 1504-3 “Class R 4” standards for structural and non structural repairs with a minimum adhesive bond strength of 2 Mpa (Nipple grouting to be carried out along the cracks, by fixing nozzles and as per specification given in item number 3 for which measurement shall be taken seperately.)
