| 6Supply and lay 3 mm thick five-layered APP modified polymeric waterproofing membrane (minimum weight 3.0 kg/Sq.m) over prepared PCC roof slabs and parapets, at all heights, conforming to IS 16532 and SSR Part-I, comprising: applying bitumen primer conforming to IS 3384 at 0.40 L/Sq.m; torch-applying one layer of 3 mm membrane reinforced with composite non-woven polyester core (minimum 150 g/m2) and 90-micron HMHDPE film, surfaced with polymeric asphalt and thermo-fusible films; heat-sealing laps; inserting vertical upturns into parapet chases; finishing exposed membrane with bituminous aluminium paint (IS 2339) at 0.10 L/Sq.m, complete all as specified. (Note: Atactic Polypropylene [APP] modified five-layered polymeric waterproofing membrane shall conform to IS 16532 / IS 16090 [minimum total weight ≥3.0kg/m2, thickness 3.0 mm, reinforced with non-woven spun-bond polyester mat ≥150g/m2 and 90-micron central high molecular high density polyethylene film], cold-applied bitumen primer to IS 3384, bituminous aluminium paint to IS 2339, and execution workmanship strictly to Para 11.44.5 of MES SSR Part-I, IS 16090, and IS 3067. The membrane shall be laid by torch-on application using LPG/butane blow torches by certified applicators. Minimum laps of 75 mm along longitudinal edges and 100 mm at transversal end joints shall be fully heat-welded and sealed to show continuous melted bitumen exudation. Parapet flashing upturns shall be taken up to a minimum 300 mm to 600 mm height, tucked into a pre-formed 65×65" mm" chase, and pointed flush with polymer-modified cement mortar 1:3. Measurement shall be based on net flat and vertical surface area in square metres [Sq.m] treated per IS 1200 [Part 11] without separate allowance for laps or seams. | |||||
