| 1.103) Only sieved river sand/crushed stone sand from Godavari river or Varaha river or Vamsadhara river or Sarada river or Nagavali river / Crushed stone manufactured sand shall be used as fine aggregate and Graded hard broken granite metal of 3 stage (VSI) material shall be used as coarse aggregate in relevant items. Specification for fine and coarse aggregate shall confirm to IS:383 (latest revision) 4) In view of limit on water-cement ratio for durability requirements in design mix concrete, concrete admixtures (Carboxylate based superplasticizers) can be used after taking prior approval of Engineer-in-Charge and the rates quoted for concrete items shall be inclusive of the cost of admixtures, Design mix, trial mixes, testing (at site & at approved labs), etc. complete. 5) The contractor shall set up sufficient number of self loading mobile concrete mixers inside the project area for the production of concrete. 6) Contractor may also be allowed to procure concrete from prior approved RMC plants on prior approval of the BARC subject to maintain required slump at site during pouring.To that extent suitable Mix Design should be carried out with required retention period. No extra payment will be made if concrete is brought from RMC plants outside the project area. 7) Manufacturer's Test certificate of cement which is procured from dealer/company is to be submitted for all cement related works by the contractor. | |||||
| 1.208) The Scope of works which are not included in any specific items but indicated in the document "General Scope of all works" shall be within the scope of overall contract works. The cost of work/item/material indicated in this document shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rates of all individual items. 9) For all standards and code of practices, specifications, like Indian Standard, MORT&H, ASTM, etc. refer only latest revisions including all applicable amendments, revisions and additional publications (during contract period) and these have to be followed. 10)Prior approval for source of all construction materials by submission of relavent test certificates, documents, invoices etc. have to be taken from BARC. 11) All the tests mentioned in Quality Assurance Plan(QAP) should be carried out without any extra cost to BARC. 12) The contractor has to submit all royalty /seigneiorage slips,etc for gravel/murrum and for all the other naturally available construction materials along with all RA and final bills failing which payment will not be made to the contrcator. | |||||
| 1.30Notes applicable to EARTHWORK EXCAVATION & FILLING WORKS : The rate quoted is deemed to have included the following: a) Removal and cutting of all kinds of vegetation, shrubs, bushes, stumps , roots, grass, weeds, light/heavy jungle etc., trees upto girth of 30 cm when measured 1 metre above ground level alongwith roots, including disposal/stack in the identified location. b) shoring, strutting, stepping, dressing, grading required for keeping the earth in position on sides of trenches with approved timber/steel accessories wherever necessary to prevent sides from falling including bailing or pumping out of water if necessary including removal of debris/unserviceable materials and excavated excess soil, if any. c) dewatering of both ground and surface water, including removal of slurry generated while excavation and keeping the area free from water, to be let out of the building area through proper pipes & channels if required by suitable pumps, d) watering, ramming and thoroughly consolidate the bottom of all excavations & ground before the construction of foundation/footing/plinth beam, filling in basement or other work is commenced. e) the loose pockets shall be excavated and compacted after back filling as directed by Engineer-in-charge, as per detailed specification and conforming to safety rules during progress of the work. f) Contour levels to be taken jointly with the Engineer-in-charge and prior written approval be taken before starting any excavation/ filling at every 3 m grids for arriving at the actual quantity | |||||

Providing and laying design mix reinforced cement concrete of M30 Grade using min. 390 kg of cement for 1 cu.m of finished concrete at all heights by weigh batching using graded stone aggregate of 20mm max. size and coarse river sand/ crushed stone sand of approved quality including admixtures of approved Brand and quality, including handling & transportation, scaffolding, mechanical mixing, placing to required location by hoisting and / or pumping & mechanical vibration, consolidation, finishing, curing, hacking of concrete surfaces wherever required etc. complete at all levels in substructure/superstructure as per specifications & also including dewatering, if any, complete all as per drawings and technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge but excluding formwork, shuttering and steel reinforcement. Providing and fixing double tubular scaffolding system using H- frames with cup lock type on the exterior side upto seven story height made with 40 mm dia M.S. tube 1.5 m centre to centre horizontal and vertical tubes joining with cup and lock system with M.S. tubes, M.S. tube challies, M.S clamps and M.S staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for the required duration as approved and removing it thereafter. The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connection with building etc. wherever required for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc. complete as per directions and as approved by the Engineer -in - charge. The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purposes. The payment shall be made once irrespective of duration of scaffolding.
Filling of areas with soil brought from outside BARC ,including loading, transporting with the following leads, unloading to filling site, spreading in layers not more than 250 mm thick and compacting each layer with suitable vibratory roller of 8 to 10 ton capacity power roller to achieve 90 to 95% proctor density at optimum moisture content with all lifts, bailing/ pumping out of water to keep the site dry while backfilling, etc. complete all as per drawings and technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing and fixing precoated Galvalume Roofing profile sheets of approved size, shape and pitch up to and including 0.5mm thickness sheet. The sheet shall be fixed using self drilling / self tapping screws of size (5.5 X 55 mm) with EPDM seal complete upto any pitch in horizontal / vertical or curved surfaces excluding the cost of purlins, rafters and trusses and including ridges,cutting to size and shape wherever required as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge.
Providing and constructing 100/150/200/230mm (or as directed) thick masonry at all elevations with approved quality Fly ash/ FAL-G bricks having minimum crushing strength 60 Kgs/Sq.cm, water absorption of maximum 20% and Maximum Drying shrinkage 0.15%. Masonry work with cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 river sand/ crushed stone sand) uniformly mixed in machine with approved 'non-shrinking compound' as per manufacturer’s instruction in specified courses of approved bond also providing horizonatal RCC band of 100/150/200mm x 100 mm (or as directed) at about 1.00 m c/c with 2 nos. 8 mm dia Tor bars and 8 mm dia links at 300 mm c/c in cement concrete (1:2:4), required formwork, complete including pointing, raking out joints, curing, cleaning, including independent double legged scaffolding, at all heights, depths and leads, dewatering area where required etc., all as per typical drawings, Technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note: reinforcement steel alone shall be measured under relavant item. Cost of concrete and shuttering for RCC band is included in the rate quoted from this item. Note for flyash bricks: In the fly ash bricks the mix confirming to the strength mentioned in the respective items shall be got approved by the department. The mix shall consist of ordinary portland cement content of not less than 20%(preferably) of the mixture consisting of Fly ash, OPC and Gypsum or any variation in proportion of design mix shall be submitted to BARC for approval. The Anhydraous Gypsum, Fly Ash, Cement, Crusher dust and other materials shall confirm to the relevant IS codes. The Anhydrous Gypsum shall be procured from a reputed source approved by the department. Roller mixer shall be used for good homogeneous mixing. a) Reinforcement will be measured & paid for separately under relevant item. b) RCC band and formwork shall not be measured seperatly, however no deductions will be made in brickwork for the same. c) No holes in brickwall will be allowed for scaffolding. Only double tubular steel scaffolding be allowed.
Providing 15 mm thick Plain Internal Plastering in cement mortar 1:4 (using river sand) finished smooth, including sieving of sand to required fineness, preparation of the surface, double steel tubular scaffolding, curing all as per specifications, drawings and as directed at site etc. complete all as per Technical specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. including all leads and lifts
Providing and fixing Glazed VITRIFIED tiles of size 600mmx600mmX8mm/600mmX300mmX8mm approved make in different sizes conforming to IS 15622 in all colours and shades in Glossy or Matt or satin finish laid over a bed of minimum 20 mm thick bed of cement mortar 1:4 (using Crushed sand) and jointing with grey cement slurry including grouting with the joints with white cement based Tile Grout of approved make and matching shade complete as per patterns, drawings and specifications complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
Providing and fixing 1st quality ceramic glazed wall tiles conforming to IS 15622 of approved make. shade and colour of size ranging from 300 - 600 mm long and 300 mm - 600 mm wide and thickness not less than 6 mm as approved by Engineer-in- charge in skirting, risers of steps and dados over 12 mm thick bed of cement mortar 1:3 (using crushed sand), setting the tiles in cement slurry and pointing the joints with matching colour Tile grout of approved make of matching shade including using PVC tile trim in the exposed corners, complete as per drawings, patterns and specifications complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and Laying Minimum 25 mm thick uniform shade Kotah or as approved stone for treads and risers of steps, skirting,window sills in single length up to 2.00 metres length slab dado and pillars laid on 12 mm thick (average) cement mortar 1:3 (using crushed sand) and jointed with grey cement slurry mixed with pigment to match the shade of the slabs, including rubbing and polishing to obtain mirror finish complete as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge
Providing and fixing 17mm thick machine cut, mirror polished approved Granite stone/equivalent approved range and shade granite stone of approved colour and pattern for Risers and trades /Frames/Architraves/soffits/Jambs/Sills/Urinal partitions etc. of required sizes as shown in drawing or directed by the Engineer-in-charge, fixed with cement paste about 4.0 Kgs/sqm, fully buttering cement slurry on back, fixed to correct line, level and plumb over the plastered surfaces. Joints shall be well cleaned and grouted with matching colour of approved readymade grout, all leads and lifts, polished to all exposed faces, corners and edges, semi rounded, providing required SS screws, SS pins, studs, cleaning, curing, drilling, grinding edges etc. complete at all heights and leads all as per technical specifications complete as per specifications as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Providing and Fixing in position Suspended false ceiling system using 600 x 600mm Calcium Silicate Ceiling tiles (AEROLITE ceiling systems) Tiles having 15mm densified edges and 100% humidity resistance, incombustible as per BS476 part IV with thermal conductivity of 0.043 w/m KC and approvred surface design and edge profile (TEGULAR/ SPINTONE) placed in a suspended grid of size of 600 x 600mm made of hot-dipped G.I steel sections having an exposed surface capping of pre-finished baked polyester painted coil wherein the main tee of size 24mm x 38mm x 0.33mm shall be suspended at 1200 mm centres along the length of ceiling with 4mm dia G.I wire with necessary level adjusters and cross tees of size 24 x 28 x 0.33mm x 1200 mm shall be inserted in to slots between the main tees at 600mm centres and thereafter in direction vertical to the longer tees, cross tees of size 24 x 28 x 0.33mm x 600mm shall be inserted to form a grid size of 600 x 600 mm resting on the perifery walls on wall angles of size 20mm x 20mm x 3000 mm x 0.40 mm thickness. The rate shall include providing necessary openings for light fixtures, diffusers, trap doors etc to be made as per layout drawings. Providing and fixing ISI marked 35mm thick Block board nondecorative type single/double leaved Flush Door Shutter as per IS 2202, core of solid block board construction with frame of 1st class hard wood and well matched commercial 3 ply veneering and fixing with ISI marked S.S hinges all as per drawings and specifications including providing lipping all around with second class teak wood battens of size 25mm minimum depth on all edges of shutter (overall area of shutter is to be measured) . The cost shall include materials and labour, all as per technical specifications complete as per specifications and dispose the same from the site by the contractor as directed by Engineer-in-charge. (The cost of S.S. hinges only will be paid under relevant item).
Providing and fixing Stainless steel double ball bearing butt hinges of size 100 x 75 x 3 mm thick for hollow steel door of approved make as per annexure B of section VII complete as per specifications, drawings and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Providing and laying integral cement based water proofing treatment With Average thickness of 120 mm and minimum thickness at khurra as 65 mm including preparation of surface as required for treatment of roofs, balconies, terraces etc. consisting of following operations: (i) Applying and grouting a slurry coat of neat cement by pump using 2.75 Kgs / sq.m of cement admixed with proprietary water proofing compound confirming to IS 2645 over RCC slab including adjoining walls up to 300 mm height including cleaning the surface before treatment. (ii) Providing and laying 20 mm thick plastering using cement mortar 1:5 (with coarse sand) admixed with proprietary water proofing compound confirming to IS 2645 and treating similarly the adjoining walls up to 300 mm height including rounding (Vatta) of junctions of walls and slabs. The entire surface shall be ponded with water for a period of 3 days and observed for leakage if any. In case any leakage is observed, the effected area shall be sealed by grouting with cement and shall be checked again for any leakages and this process shall be repeated till no further leakages are observed. (iii) Laying brick bats set in cement mortar 1:5 using broken brick bats 25 mm to 115 mm size with cement mortar 1:5 (using coarse sand) admixed with proprietary water proofing compound confirming to IS 2645 and approved by Engineer-in-charge to required slope and treating similarly the adjoining walls up to 300 mm height including rounding (Vatta) of junctions of walls and slabs. The entire surface shall be ponded with water for a period of 10 days and observe for leakage if any. In case of any leakage observed, the effected area shall be sealed by grouting with cement and further leakage to be checked for again. (iv) After 10 days of proper curing applying a second coat of cement slurry admixed with proprietary water proofing compound confirming to IS 2645 and approved by Engineer-in-Charge. (v) Finishing the surface with 20 mm thick jointless cement mortar of mix 1:4 (using coarse sand) admixed with proprietary water proofing compound confirming to IS 2645 and approved by Engineer-in-charge including mixing ''polyster fibre of approved quality' at the rate of 125 grams per 50 Kgs of Cement in top layer of plaster and finally finishing the surface with trowel with neat cement slurry and making pattern of 300 X 300 mm square, 3 mm deep. (vi) The whole terrace so finished shall be flooded with water for a minimum period of 2 weeks for curing and for final test. All above operations to be done in order, complete all as per technical specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Contractor shall provide 10 year guarantee for waterproofing on approved proforma.
Providing and laying water proofing treatment in sunken portions of WCs, bath rooms etc. by applying cement slurry mixed with water proofing cement compound consisting of applying: (a) 1st layer of slurry of cement @ 0.488 Kgs / sq.m mixed with water proofing cement compound @ 0.253 Kgs per sq.m. including injecting cement slurry.
