Providing and laying 25mm thick mastic asphalt wearing course with paving grade bitumen VG-40 meeting the requirements given in table 500-29, prepared by using mastic cooker and laid to required level and slope after cleaning the surface, including providing antiskid surface with bitumen precoated fine-grained hard stone chipping of 13.2 mm nominal size at the rate of 0.005 cum per 10 sqm and at an approximate spacing of 10 cm center to center in both directions, pressed into surface when the temperature of surfaces not less than 100OC, protruding 1 mm to 4 mm over mastic surface, all complete as per clause 516 of MoRT&H Specifications 5th revision 2013.

Preparation of plastered or concrete surfaces for painting, including sand papering the surface, applying one coat of linseed oil and filling with approved quality filler, consisting of white lead, linseed oil, varnish and chalk mitti including finishing surface to the required finish, complete. (HSR 16.24)

Applying priming coat with cement primer in all shades on newly plastered or concrete exterior surfaces. (HSR 16.25)

Painting two coats with ready-mixed exterior paint in all shades on newly plastered or concrete surfaces of walls. (HSR 16.26)

Precast chequered tiles of 20 mm thickness In ordinary grey cement without chips laid on 20 mm thick bed of cement coarse sand mortar 1:3 with neat cement slurry between joints and over the base in floors, treads of steps and landings. (Note:- Reputed make Tile Only ISI marked will be used as approved by Engineer-in-charge). [HSR 14.45+Note]. Note:- The Agency to whom the work is alloted will have to produce original bill/voucher for all quantity in token of proof of purchase of material.

Providing & Marking center line / side line 2.5mm thick (minimum) with hot applied thermo-plastic road marking paint 10 cms wide / 15 cm wide complete in all respect such as furnishing all labour, materials, tools equipments including all incidental costs necessary for carrying out in work at site confirming to the technical specification as clause No. 803 of MORT&H specification for road and bridge works (5th revision) of 2013 / Latest edition. Each container of the thermoplastic material shall have the name trademark or other means of identification of manufacturer, batch number, date of manufacture color maximum application temperature and maximum heating temperature. The thermoplastic paint material shall be of Asian Paint- Apcomark / Berger– Sigmarc / Prismo. The glass beads shall be of Potters / Sovitec / Fleolite. The thermoplastic material shall be sampled and tested in accordance with appropriate ASTM/BS method. The contractor shall furnish to the Engineer – in – Charge a copy of certified test reports from the manufacturer of the thermoplastic material meet all requirement of the specifications. The reflector zing glass beads shall meet the requirement of clause 803.4.2 and test methods mentioned in clause 803.2.4 shall be meticulously followed. The minimum thickness specified is exclusive of surface of glass beads the method of thickness measurement shall be in accordance with appendix B and C of BS :3262 (part -3). Note :- Before start of work the contractor shall give brand, batch number, manufacturing date of the material to be used along with a photocopy of bill duly signed by the contractor and get approved the same from Engineer – In – Charge before use.

Pavement Marker (Cat Eyes) Moulded shank raised pavement markers made of polycarbonate and ABS moulded body and reflective panels with micro prismatic lens capable of providing internal reflection of the light entering the lens face and shall support a load of 16000 KG tested in accordance to ASTM D 4280 Type H and complying to specifications of Category A of MORTH Circular No. W/NH/33023/10-97-DO III dt. 11.06.1997. The height width and length shall not be exceed 50mm, 100mm and 100 mm and with minimum reflective area of 13 Sqcm. On each side and the slope to the base shall be 35+/- degree. The strength of detachment of the integrated cylindrical shanks, (of diameter not less than 19+/-2 mm and height not less than 30+/- mm) from the body is to be a minimum value of 500 Kg. Fixing will be by drilling holes on the road for the shanks to go inside, without nails and using epoxy resin based adhesive as per manufacturer’s recommendation and complete as directed by the engineer (of reputed make such as Avery Dennison/3M)

NOTE:- 1. IN CASE OF ANY DIFFERENCE IN THE UNIT & NOMENCLATURE OF ANY OF THE HSR ITEMS OF CIVIL WORK DEPICTED IN THIS DNIT AND THAT GIVEN IN HSR, THE UNIT AND NOMENCLATURE GIVEN IN HSR SHALL BE APPLICABLE.
