BILL OF QUANTITIES (BOQ)

1. The Bill of Quantities shall be reading conjunction with the Instruction to Bidders, Conditions

of Contract, Technical Specifications, Drawings and Addendums if any thereof.

2. The quantities given in the Bill of Quantities are indicative and provisional and are given to

provide a common basis for bidding. The basis of payment will be the actual quantities of

work executed, as measured by the Contractor and verified by the Engineer and valued at

the rates quoted by the Contractor and agreed between the Employer and the Contractor.

3. The rates and prices Bid provided under the Contract by the Contractor, include all

constructional plant, labour, supervisions, materials, all temporary works and false works

maintenance, establishment and overhead charges, profit, any taxation and levies except

GST, and other charges together with all general risks, liabilities and obligations set out or

implied in the Contract.

4. The percentage above or below shall be entered both in figures and words against total

amount of Bill of Quantities.

5. The whole cost of complying with the provisions of the Contract shall be deemed to have

been included by the Contractor in his Price Bid.

6. The method of measurement of completed work for payment shall be in accordance with the

requirement as stated in the individual sections of the Technical Specifications or Condition

Providing and installation of barricading with retro-reflective paint/

film/ tapes (Minimum 2.0Mt. height) as specified in the drawing &

specifications for the construction of road work, along with

necessary diversion arrangement for existing traffic movement in

an unobstructed condition, all relevant markings, sign boards and

illumination as per relevant specification. Precoated galvanised

iron profile sheets shall be of approved make and shade having

0.50 mm (+0.05 %) total coated thickness with zinc coating

grams per sqm as per IS: 277, in 550 mpa steel grade, 5-7

microns epoxy primer on both side of the sheet and polyester top

coat 15-18 microns. Rate to be inclusive of all materials,

fabrication works, paint works for information (retro reflective

paint), foundation works, transportation, loading, unloading,

installation, dismantling and inclusive of all taxes except GST and

rental will be given to the contractor in case of any delays from his

part for construction or due to any valid time limit extensions.

Each barricading sheet is to be numbered with a unique number.

The barricading provided shall be retained in position at site

continuously i/c shifting of barricading from one location to

another location as many times as required during the execution

of the entire work till its completion. Rate include its maintenance

for damages, painting, all incidentals, labour materials,

equipments and works required to execute the job. The

barricading shall not be removed without prior approval of

Engineer-in-Charge. (Note :- One time payment shall be made for

providing barricading from start of work till completion of work i/c

shifting. The barricading provided shall remain to be the property

of the contractor on completion of the work).

made out of 4mm. Aluminum composite Panel (ACP) in cubical

shape of dimensions 153 cm x 122 cm x 17cms (avg.) Framed on

sufficient horizontal support and diagonal bracing to withstand

static as well as dynamic (WIND LOAD) after mounting it on

100x100x3.6 mm. M.S. Square Hollow Section(CHS) with 6 mm.

M.S. Plates and stiffeners in such a manner that they are not

visible from out side. The composite panel face is covered with

micro prismatic grade sheeting confirming to type 11 as per

ASTM-D 4956 -09 .It should bear minimum 10 Yrs. outdoor

exposed performance supported by the Reflective - Sheeting

manufacture is having legal jurisdiction in India. The letters (dual

languages), symbols, borders shall be made of same material

bottom height from the pavement in M25 grade cement concrete

block of 0.45 m x 0.45 m x 0.90 m dimensions as directed by the

Engineer in charge. Total length of pole will be of 4.53 m height.

Back side of directional board shall be made of Flex board

maintaining with Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation letters and its

logo according to instruction of Engineer -In charge. Nothing shall

be paid for carting from factory to the fixing site within AMC limit.
