Scarifying or picking gravelled macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area not exc 400 sqm each and exc 50 mm deep but not exc 100 mm deep incl removing the unserviceable materials / debris outside the premises not exceeding 50 meter away and disposal of the same all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge

Preparing Scarified road surfaces and / or unsurfaced WBM surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a priming/ tack coat of paving bitumen VG 30 Grade @ 10 Kg per 10 Sqm mannually or with mechanical sprayer all as reqd at site and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Material & Labour for premix bituminous macadam using 4 % binder (paving bitumen VG 30 Grade) by weight of total mix laid manually or with mechanical pavers (consolidated thickness 75mm or less), rolled and compacted to gradient and camber required with 8 to 10 tonne power road roller all as specified and directed by Eingneer-in-Charge. (Tack coat as applicable shall be measured and paid under Serial item 2 here-in-before including preparation and cleaning of surfaces.)

Material & Labour for repair to pot holes any depth n. exc 4.00 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surfaces in road , cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth, making good by applying tack coat using paving bitumen VG-30 grade @ 5 kg per 10 Sqm, putting in premix asphaltic semi-dense concrete as specified for thin premixed carpet (30mm thick) in serial item No 5 here-in –after & filled up to the top level of existing road , well rammed (including supply of materials) and compacted with vibromax power roller , depth of pot holes not exc 40 mm (averaging 30mm thick). Note:- Pot holes shall be marked by Engineer-in-Charge before commencement of work and the same shall be entered in MB after making good and before laying of bituminous premixed carpet.

Preparing black topped surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a priming/ tack coat of paving bitumen VG 30 Grade @ 5Kg per 10 Sqm with mechanical sprayer and laying bituminous premixed asphaltic semi-dense concrete (consolidated thickness) 30mm thick with 5.5% binder content (paving bitumen VG 30 Grade) by weight of total mix, mixed in central computrized hot mix plant and laid using mechanical self propelled paver and rolled with 8 to 12 tonne vibromax power roller to required camber and gradient all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Making strip, straight line, zebra crossing and stop line not less than 2.5mm thick with hot applied thermoplastic road marking paint of brand Asian (Apcomark) / Berger (Sigmark) (white or yellow) by using automatic mechanical road painting machine all as specified. Note:- Glass beads shall be "Potters" of England/ UAE/ Austria/ Astralia but Not Chinese.

S&F in repair 80mm dia outdoor type, weather proof, unbreakable polycarbonate face roadside convex mirror for vehicle of high visibility orange visor with floor mount type post and brackets, horizontal and vertical angle adjustment complete all as per manufacturer's instructions (make vertex, KRM or equivalent), fixing to 75mm dia GI pipe 2.10mtr high in post hole of size 60x60x75cm and embedding the same in PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate including required excavation, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for Identification sign/cautionary mandatory and information sign board, area exceeding 1.00 Sqm but not exceeding 1.50 Sqm with 2mm thick aluminium composite panal covered by encapsulated lens type retro reflective sheet (grade 3m type II diamond grade ) on both side with green base, fixed on and including stainless steel frame of size 25mmX25mm and hang on 50mm dia stainless steel pipe (fabrication work from SS 304 material ) of height up to 2.00 metre from the natural ground level to top and post embedded in ground with PCC 1:3:6 type C-2 using 40mm graded stone aggregate of size 45cmX45cmX60cm including necessary excavation and earth work complete all as specified and directed. Note: (i) Shape/ Design of sign board as approved by GE. (ii) The letters and symbols etc; on both side shall be as per site requirement and as approved. The size and font of wording as per direction of GE.
