Supplying of hot applied thermoplastic road marking compound, 2.5mm thick including reflectorising glass beads @ 250gms with Reflectorising Glass Beads on Bituminous Surface at 250 gms per sqm area, thickness of 2.5mm is exclusive of surface applied glass bead as per MORTH Section 803.4 and IRC: 35-2015, the material should satisfy the requirements as per MORTH specifications 803.4 and must comply with the following: a) White index for the product should be in the range of 60-70 when measured against standard reference. The applied panel 7/8 number must be submitted for checking up the white index in the department lab. In case the department approves the white index of any vendor, the department engineer may carryout random checking of the applied products at site against the approved panel. In case of any major deviation, beyond acceptance limit, department reserve the right to cancel or reject the total supplied consignment of the said material and will compell the vendor has to replace the full consignment by the desired material as per approved panel at his own cost and additional demurrages may be claimed due to loss of man days (as per the rules of the department). b) Luminance factor of the material should be in the range of 80-85% at 45 degree centigrade as per AASTHOM 249. c) Crack resistance: The applied panel cured for 7 days under ambient condition and then should be tested as per BS3262, Part-1, 1989 and should pass at the range of '0' degree centigrade to '-10' degree centigrade D) Adhesion : Strong E) Softening point: 102 degree centigrade F) Dried film finish : Smooth and uniform G) Night Vision: High as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge and confirming to IS: 164-1961 (1st revision reaffirmed in 1986) and clause conforming to IRC 35-2015 and MORTH Section 803.4
Providing and fixing of Molded Shanks Raised Pavement Markers (Road Studs) made of polycarbonate and ABS moulded body and reflective panels with micro prismatic lens capable of providing total internal relection of the light entering the lens face and shall support a load of 16000 kg tested in accordance with and confirming to ASTM D4280 Type H and complying to specifications of category A of guidelines issued by MORTH circular no RW/NH-33023/10/97-DO III Dt : 11.06.1997. The height, width and length shall not exceed 50mm, 100mm and 100mm and with minimum reflective area on each retroreflective surface shall not be less than 13 sqcm on each side and the slope to the base shall be 35+/-5 degree. The strength of detatchment of the integrated cylindrical shanks (of diametre not less than 19+/- 2mm and height not less than 30+/- 2mm) from the body is to be a minimum value of 700kgs. Fixing will be by drilling holes on the road for the twin shanks to go inside, without nails and using epoxy resin based adhesive as per manufacturer's recommendation and with all leads and lifts, loading, unloading charges, site clearance etc.and complete necessary for successful completion of the work as directed by the Engineer - in - charge.
Providing fixing of Median Marker made of polycarbonate for impact resistance and good weather ability. Polycarbonate used for molding the Median Marker shall have a minimum Izod impact strength value of 600 J/m at room temperature. The impact strength of the polycarbonate should not decrease to less than 70 % of its initial value on being subjected to UV weathering as per ASTM G 155 for 1000 hours or exposure to 2 years of natural weathering. The body of the median marker shall be in the form of an isosceles trapezoidal structure of length 15 cm, height and width of 10x10 cm. The Median Marker shall have fluorescent yellow retro-reflective sheeting conforming to type XI specifications as per ASTM D4956. Area of reflective sheeting should not be less than 70 cm2. Edge of retro-reflective sheeting shall be concealed using a grill/ mesh/ similar mechanism to prevent vandalism and sheeting pilferage. The logo of the manufacturer shall be embossed and printed in contrasting color on both sides of median marker for distinct identification (even from moving vehicles).
Supplying and installation of delineators (Roadway indicators) not less than 800mm high above ground level. The delineator shall have a core and shell construction which shall be made of tough, high impact resistant, injection-moulded, thermoplastic outer body. The inner core shall consist of powder coated or painted Mild steel of minimum thickness 1.0mm. The delineator should have top retro-reflective unit consisting of white color micro prismatic non metallic retro-reflective sheeting on both sides having a minimum exposed area of 125 cm2 each side and bottom retro-reflective unit consisting of red color micro prismatic non metallic retro-reflective sheeting on both sides having minimum exposed area of 35 cm2 each side confirming to ASTM D4956 type XI standards. The delineators shall be fixed to the ground by inserting the root of the delineator up to the marked portion and by firm concrete filling as per the instructions by engineer in-charge.
