M&L for forming trial patch of size 15m x 15m at specified location by preparing old black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud, etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces using air blowers to remove all loose dirt, etc. and applying cold Polymer Modified Emulsion (PME) by spraying with machine of total cold liquid PME 1liter/sqm (un-diluted) in two coats with mineral filler as recommended by manufacturer of PME (after diluting with water), each coat diluted in the ratio 1:1 (PME :WATER) and ensuring uniform finish of PME on runway and submission of trial report to check the efficiency of the material and evaluation of following parameters as detailed hereafter, after 7 days complete all as per manufacturer’s instructions, as specified and as directed (a) Friction parameter within permissible ranges (b) Quantities of materials to be frozen in the contract (c) Permeability parameter to ensure near zero porosity

(ii) The works will be carried out on Saturdays/Sundays/Holidays and other non-flying days and or as intimated by the ATS authorities (iii) The Contractor has to liaise with the ATS authorities two days prior of his planned works and schedule accordingly and or glavanise his resources as per requirement of the Station (iv) Works shall be done through authorised and qualified applicators of the manufacturer with all requisite T&P, machineries, etc. as per manufacturer's instructions and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge (v) The quoted rate shall be deemed to be inclusive of all the above aspects. No claim whatsoever shall be entertained at a later date/s

M&L for preparation of old black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes/ coir brushes and removing caked mud, foreign particles, rbber deposits, silt, etc., sweeping clean with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces using suitable air blowers to remove all such deposits and applying cold Polymer Modified Emulsion (PME) having penetration values of 10-20mm and initial setting time of 4-5hrs but not more than 8hrs by spraying with requisite machine of total cold liquid PME 1.0litre/sqm (undiluted) for two coats with fillers as recommended by manufacturer of PME (after diluting with water), each coat diluted in ratio 1:1 (PME:Water) and ensuring uniform finish of PME on runways complete all as per manufacturer's instructions, including intial trial patch, checking the efficiency of the material and evaluation of following parameters as detailed hereafter, after 7 days all as per manufacturer’s instructions, complete all as specified and as directed (a) Friction parameter within permissible ranges (b) Quantities of materials to be frozen in the contract (c) Permeability parameter to ensure near zero porosity (d) Penetration of PME after application of both the coats (e) Formulation and composition of various constituents including mineral filler, dilution ratio, rate of application, etc. (f) Micro and Macro texture

Notes for serial item No. 3: (i) A trial patch for ascertaining meeting of parameters shall be done. The location of trial patch shall be as directed by the GE at any area. The size of the trial patch shall be 15mx15m (ii) In the event of failure in attaining desired parameters of PME, the trial patch shall be redone by the Contractor till achieving such parameters without any cost to the Govt. (iii) The cost of such trial patch/s including all encumbrances shall be included in the quoted rate (iv) The works will be carried out on Saturdays/Sundays/Holidays and other non-flying days and or as intimated by the ATS authorities (v) The Contractor has to liaise with the ATS authorities two days prior of his planned works and schedule accordingly and or glavanise his resources as per requirement of the Station (vi) Works shall be done through authorised and qualified applicators of the manufacturer with all requisite T&P, machineries, etc. as per manufacturer's instructions and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge (vii) Due care shall be taken for friction parameters during application of PME as per ICAO standards (viii) All gaps / cracks upto 3mm size shall be filled with mineral fillers as per manufacturer's instructions. Due care shall be taken for same (ix) An amount @2.5% of workdone shall be retained from the final bill of the Contractor. The Contractor may also submit requisite FDR for same. The Contractor shall have also to submit a guarantee certificate as detailed in these tender documents. (x) The quoted rates shall be deemed to be inclusive of all the above aspects. No claim whatsoever shall be entertained at a later date/s

Notes for item Nos. 11 to 14: (i) Stage passing as applicable shall be maintained as specified hereafter in these tender documents (ii) The work shall seek a guarantee of 10 years from the certified date of completion. Contractor shall submit guarantee on Rs. 100 non-judicial stamp paper as specified. (iii) An amount @2.5% of workdone shall be retained from the final bill of the Contractor.
