DESCRIPTION OF ITEMS

Demolition of cement concrete in ground floors and pavings n exc 15 cm thickness (below or above ground level) complete all specified and directed.

Dismantling floor, hearth or wall tiling including cement mortar bedding (but not backing), removing serviceable tiles to store and rubbish off the premises complete all specified and directed.

M&L for 40 mm th PCC 1:2:4 type B1 (using 20 mm graded stone agg) as in flooring finished even & smooth without using extra cement complete all specified and directed.

M/L for Joint free non skid coloured ceramic tiles 7 to 8mm thick (square/rectangular) area of each tile exceeding 0.11 sqm and not exceeding 0.18 sqm, in floors over and including 15mm thick screed in CM 1:6 etc set and jointed in neat cement slurry and pointed in white or coloured cement to match the shades of tiles with as in floor, finished the surface rough to receive tiles complete all specified and directed.

M &L Glazed ceramic tiles colured in vertical surface 450X 300(7-8mm) thickset and jointed in neat cement slurry and pointed in white or colour cement to match including 10mm thick rendering in cement mortar 1:4 on fair face of brick work or concrete surfaces as backing for tiles complete all specified and directed.

M&L for chequered cement concrete tiles 20cm x 20cm x 25mm thick, set, jointed and pointed in neat cement slurry in floors with grey cement and pigment over and including 15mm thick screed in CM 1:4 complete all specified and directed.

Taking down chowkhats or frame nexc 1.5 sqm each with shutters (without taking off shutters from the frame) complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix Solid PVC Door Frame of size 50mm x 47mm made out of 5mm plain colour PVC sheet reinforced with M.S. Square tube, suppling & fixing in opening as per specification & drawing all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix Factory made solid panel PVC door shutter 30 mm thick (style) consisting of frame made out of M.S. tubes for top & bottom rails. M.S. frame shall be covered with heat moulded plain colour PVC ‘C’ channel having a PVC sheet strip of 20mm width stuck inside with solvent cement for stiles and plain colour PVC sheets for top rail, lock rail & bottom rail on either side & as gap insert for top rail & bottom rail; Panelling of plain colour PVC sheet to be fitted in the M.S. frame welded / sealed to the stiles & rails with suitable PVC sheet beading, and joined together with solvent cement all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix Extruded aluminum alloy handle, fabricated type, anodized 125mm size, complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix Aluminum, anodized, barrel tower bolts of extruded section 200 mm long, complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix Mild steel butt hinges medium weight, cold rolled 100 mm in size complete all specified and directed.

Excavating post holes or similar holes, each not exceeding 0.5 Cum, getting out in Soft/ disintegrated rock, returning, filling in and ramming earth or broken rubble mixed with earth around, in layers not exceeding 25 cm, watering, and removing surplus soil to a distance n.exc 50m & making good surface complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Plain Cement Concrete Type C2 1:4:8 (using 40 mm graded stone aggregate) in foundations, filling and mass concrete complete all specified and directed.

Dismantling fencing wire mesh, any type complete all as specified and directed.

Dismantling post or struts (steel) any section, embedded in concrete etc including taking out embedded portion and making good the disturbed ground complete all as specified and directed.

S & F Mild steel work in wind ties, including securing bolts and posts and struts in fencing including cutting tops to shape as directed, drilling holes, notching for wire, etc., flat iron fillets (for securing wire mesh etc.) including round MS bars etc embedded in concrete/masonry complete duly tar painted and sanded the embedded portion of angle iron including all necessary drilling, bolting or riveting, etc., and similar work conforming to Fe-290 Gde E-165 complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for MS round bars (Fe-410-W (Gde E-250) quality A or Fe-290 (Gde-E-165)) 10mm dia and over cut to Length bent to shape required incl cranking, bending, spirally for hooping for columns with an including MS wire(Annealed not less than .90 mm Dia) or securing with clips complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only chainlink MS galvanised fencing any size and type complete all as specified and directed.

Fixing only chainlink fencing including line wires, any mesh, size and type to any type of standards, rails, straining bolts, etc., including provision of binding wire complete all as specified and directed.

S & F Galvanized, 2 strand, steel barbed wire 2.24 mm dia., barbed with 2 mm dia., barbs at 75 mm spacing and straining and fixing to any type of standard rails straining bolts, including securing or tying at crossings with and provision of galvanized mild steel wire, staples or steel pins, etc. as directed (each line wire to be measured) complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for 2 coats of synthetic enamel paint over one coat of red oxide on newly prepared steel surface of any description, not otherwise description over 10cm width or girth complete all specified and directed.

Excavation in trenches n.exc 1.5m wide and n.exc 1.5m depth for foundation, etc or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, etc n. exc 10 sqm on plan and n exc 1.5 m in depth and getting out hard and dense soil complete all as specified and directed.

Returning filling in, approved earth including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers n.exc 25cm thick, complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in repairs gun metal globe or gate vlave 20mm dia bore with iron wheel head, screwed both end for iron pipe and fixed complete all specified and directed.

Supply and Fix in replacement lid with hinges on one side & locking facility on another side/ or with thread of PVC drinking water service tank of capacity upto 500 ltrs complete all as specified and directed.

Taking up existing manhole covers and cleaning of soak well / septic tank of any size and any capacity, by dewatering and removing sludge in liquid mud state after emptying the sewage / waste water and removing the sludge to a distance exc. 250 m and n.exc. 500m and disposed off as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge , and placing the cover in position, complete all as specified and directed. Note :- Measurement shall be made for actual quantity of sludge, removed from the tank in liquid mud state.

Cleaning of 100 mm bore up to and including 150 mm bore sewage line including manhole and disposal of waste materials / spoil up to a distance n.exc. 50m by any means complete all as specified and directed. Note :- Relaying / refixing or S&F of new pipe etc where required shall be measured separately.

Cleaning of 150 mm bore up to and including 200 mm bore sewage line including manhole and disposal of waste materials / spoil up to a distance n.exc. 50m by any means complete all as specified and directed. Note :- Relaying / refixing or S&F of new pipe etc where required shall be measured separately.

Cleaning of 200 mm bore up to and including 250 mm bore sewage line including manhole and disposal of waste materials / spoil up to a distance n.exc. 50m by any means complete all as specified and directed. Note :- Relaying / refixing or S&F of new pipe etc where required shall be measured separately.

Removal of all blockage of WC, bath kitchen, WHB traps, soil waste/vent pipe (vertical or laid in trenches/floor any type /size) sewage line upto 1st manhole, pits and 1st manhole of any section /depth any situation by way of cleaning/dewatering manholes by using any type of manually or mechanically or by way of any other suitable means including foreign materials from manholes, traps, pits where required and directed by Engineer-in-Charge and keeping the sewage system upto 1st manhole function in perfect condition including final drop out from 1st manhole, all as specified and as directed.

M&L for sunken floor treatment as described as under (i) to (vi) :- (i) Demolition of cement concrete of any description and in any position not otherwise specifically provided or in any type of filling in sunken portion & cleaned the sunken portion incl vertical wall surface complete as directed. (ii) M& L 40mm thick (Min) PCC (1:2:4) type B-0 using 12.5 mm graded stone aggregate with integral water proofing compound as per manufacturer instructions on bottom of sunken portion with proper slope towards spout. Vertical sides shall be plastered in CM (1:3) 15 mm thick mixed with water proofing compound as per manufacturer instructions. Plaster shall be extended over PCC coving when the same is green i.e. PCC & plaster be carried out at the same time complete all as specified and directed. Contd...

(iii) Spouts of 25mm dia GI pipe light grade projecting 450mm clear of face outer a wall with mosquito proof cap on inner face of pipe shall be provided to drain out seepage water ,including cutting holes and making good if needed as specified and directed. (iv) After laying sewage/ plumbing pipes with fixtures in position 2 coats of OMIPLAS EP-101 epoxy compound shall be applied complete all as specified and directed. (v) The sunken portion shall be tested for leakage / seepage / dampness by pounding with water for 72 hours. In case any defect is noticed the portion shall be grouted with cement slurry mixed with suitable chemical & tested again. The process of grouting and testing shall be repeated till leakage / seepage / dampness is eliminated. (vi) M&L to fill the sunken floor with PCC (1:5:10) type E-2 using bk aggregate over the treated surface complete all as specified and directed.

E/M Items :

M&L for maintenance of Sewage treatment plant (STP) based on moving bed bioreactor (MBBR) Aerobic attached growth technology including servicing, checking and greacing/lubrication of 02 No Feed pump of capacity 5m³/hr and motor of capacity 2.2KW(3HP), checking of one NO equalisation tank, greacing and testing of one Bar screen, oil & grease trap, cleaning, checking of two moving bed bio reactor with media by visual checking of growth of Bio-Film and re-seeding of required quantity of MBBR media for propagate biofilm (bacteria colonies) and submit the report of effectiveness of the sewage tratment plant (STP). Servicing, checking and greacing/lubrication of 02 Nos Filter feed pump and motor set of capacity 3HP, opening of 01 No dual media filter and 01 No activated carbon media filter and checking the condition of existing media, cleaning and removing all sediment particles of sludge, mud, sand, vegetation and refix the all euipments at original position complete including testing and submit the test report of filtered water as per sewage charactristic for the treated water as followed:-

(i) BOD (PPM) Treated waste water < 30 (ii) COD (PPM) Treated waste water < 250 (iii) TSS (PPM) Treated waste water < 30 (iv) Oil & Grease Treated waste water <1000 (v) PH Value Treated waste water ~6.6-8.5 (v) Total coliform Treated waste water <100MPN/100ml Notes (A) : 1. The plant shall be visited twice as directed during contract period by auth service technician/Engineer of STP manufacturing or authorised service patner of company approved by GE and will check all parameter /defects and growth of biofilm on the MBBR media and submit report to Engineer in charge. All necessary repair / servicing will be done by auth service engineer. Cost visiting charges of engineer are deemed to be include in unit rate. 2. All spares/material required will be paid and measured separately against relevent items of schedule hereunder. Contd.....

Note (B): The unit rate includes the following works (i) Checking of condition of MBBR media, dual media and activated carbon media. Changing of media shall be measured and paid separately. (ii) Carry out preventive maintenance as per the company recommandation and standard practice in every visit. Lubricating the bearing and motors & Air blower/compressor. (iii) Checking the growth of biofilm observed on the MBBR media, Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) Removal efficiency, range of F/M Ratio, Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) Ratio and ensuring healthy condition of the plant. (iv) Taking set of reading and evaluating to ensure satisfactory performance of the plant. (v) Checking of functioning of air blower in every visit and set the pressure required to propagate of the bacteria colonies. Contd....

(vi) Checking the pump motor set of existing size and repair the leakage and greacing/lubrication of moving part. (Vii) Servicing/repairs works will be carried out within 05 days after intimation to contractor on telephone followed in writing. Any delay beyound 05 day shall be penalised through panel recovery @ Rs 1000 per day till rectification/repair starts.

Taking out existing filter media various size by un scerwing the lid from pressure water filters of WTP of size 1.1 m dia and 1.8 m height and segregating river stone aggregate, pea gravel, sand and stacking out properly outside of the filteration plant and depositing the same at MES store yard for re-use complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and laying uniformly, filter media of screend graded and dust free quartz sand of size 16 to 32 mesh (0.45 to 0.70mm) in required thickness for efficient filteration of water complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and laying uniformly, hand picked screened graded pea gravel of size 2 mm to 6 mm size for forming filter bed for efiicient filteratin of water complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and laying uniformly, hand picked screened graded pea gravel of size 6 mm to 12 mm size for forming filter bed for efiicient filteration of water complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and laying uniformly, hand picked screened graded pea gravel of size 12 mm to 20mm size for forming filter bed for efiicient filteration of water complete all as specified and directed.

Cleaning of Equilization tank and air grid, removing all sludge and de-scaling vegitation on the inside and outside of tank and white washing (Two coat) including cleaning the surrounding area of the tank to a distance of 3 meter circumstance including cutting of grass, digging out roots, filling holes and levelling around and removing waste material to a distance not exceeding 50 Mtrs complete all as specified and directed.

(ii) All inlet/outlet pipes/ channels shall be properly sealed at the opening inside the clarifer while carring out cleaning. (iii) The work mentioned in item Ser No 07 to 14 will be carried out within 07 days after intimation to contractor on telephonic followed in writing. Any delay beyound 07 days shall be penalished through panel recovery @ 500 per day till rectification/repair.

Disconneting and taking down air blower / compressor 400 m³/hr, 1440 RPM from 20HP electric motor carefully, from foundation manually or mechanically and transporting to workshop for repair and back, installation, refixing, reconnecting to electric and piping work with the repaired compressor including repacement of V type fan belts etc complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note:- (i) The quoted rate shall be deemed to include the cost of transportation, fixing only rate of spare parts complete. Spare parts shall be measured and paid for as supply only separately. (ii) Servicing / repairs works will be carried out whitin 03 days after intimation to contractor on telephone followed in writing. Any delay beyound 03 day shall be penalised through panel recovery @ 500 per day till rectification/repair starts complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only heavy duty bearings ball and roller type with load bearing capacity for above compressor complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only low-wear, non-contacting, labyrinth-type seals to ensure performance and long life complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only Rotor suitable for twin lobe made from Cast iron or SG iron stainless steel with stiff design complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only Rotor shafts are alloy steel forgings that allow higher operating pressure and rotaion speeds complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only timing Gears made of forged steel with hardened and ground spur teeth to reduce vibrations and ensure accurate rotor to rotor timings for smooth and efficient operations complete all as specified and directed.

Taking out the burnt electric motor of capacity 2 HP to 5 HP, 415 Volts, 50 Hz AC from existing position, transporting to civil work shop, separating the stator and rotor housing, cutting and removing the existing winding of stator completely, cleaning the slots and rewinding with existing gauge of super enamelled copper winding wire with suitable insulation, applying insulation varnish and heating in heating chamber till completely dried and reassembling the motor including supply and replacement of DE(01 No.) & NDE(01 No) bearings, transporting back to site and re-installing in its original position including proper alignment for smooth running and testing on completion complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

All as per item No 94 above but electric motor of capacity 7.5 HP complete all as specified and directed.

Dismantling and taking up unserviceable sewage feed pump screw type pump sets of cap 5m³/hr from foundations after disconnecting electric and water connections and cleanings the screw rotors, greacing the bearings by opening nut-bolts & washers at site and reassembling the same after necessary work complete all as specified and directed.

Dismantling and taking up unserviceable horizontal high pressure pump barrel type pump set with radial impeller of cap 125m³/hr from foundations after disconnecting electric and water connections and greacing the assembly by opening nut-bolts & washers, forced oil lubrication for journal and thrust bearings at site and reassembling the same after necessary work complete all as specified and directed.

Dismantling and taking up unserviceable non clogging type centrifugal pump sets of size 5 HP from foundations after disconnecting electric and water connections and transportation from site to contractor's work shop for carrying out repairs to pump sets as required incluidng re- assembling, re-fixing in position, including connecting and testing complete as specified and directed. Notes:- (i) Spare parts for pumps shall be measured and paid separately under respective items of this schedule. (ii) Transportation charges of pump sets from MES installations to contractors work shop and back is deemed to be included in the quoted rates. (iii) Pump sets issued for repairs shall be returned back / re-installed at site within seven days from the date of receipt by the contractor. Any delay boyond 7 days shall be compensated through penal recovery @ Rs. 200 per day per pump set. (iv) Rates for minor items such as nut bolts, washers, thimbles, lugs, etc are deemed to be included in the quoted rates.

Supply only mechanical seal incl O-ring to ensure no ingress of water or sewage in motor complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only antifriction ball bearings for pump incl lubrication of the same complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only gun metal bush complete set of two as per sample for 5 HP complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only gaskets for pump casing complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only key for impeller complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in replacement of cast iron sluice valve of 200 mm bore class PN-1.6 ISI marked (as per IS 14846 of 2000) heavy duty with flanged ends with mild steel spindle and gun metal check nut, iron hand wheel and fixing with providing suitable nuts, bolts, washers and rubber gasket for packing etc complete all as specified and directed. Note:- Any damage if occurs while replacing the sluice valve to pipe lines, it will be responsibilty of contractor and will be repaired by contractor at his own cost. Nothing extra shall be admissible on this account.
