REPAIR TO INTERNAL ROADS AND ROAD SIDE FURNITURE AT CERTAIN LOCATIONS AT MD ACCN AT VSN CHILODA

M&L for scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces to a depth exc 50 mm and not exc 100 mm & in area exc 400 sqm and disposal of scarified material.

M& L for providing, laying, spreading premix bituminous macadam with crushed and graded stone aggregate mixed together with 4% of paving bitumen of grade VG-30 by weight of the total mix, including heating the bitumen to the required temperature, mixing bituminous macadam in automatic and temperature controlled hot mix plant with electronically operated 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant, transporting the hot mix from HMP to the work site by tippers, and laying and spreading uniformaly by means of hydryostatic paver finisher, and rolling and consolidating to the required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75 mm or less) with 8 to 12 tonne smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem power roller, complete in all respect as per Clause 507 MoRTH (5th Rev) specification and as specified and as directed. Note :- (i) The contractor shall quote the rate against item considering 4% VG-30 bitumen content. Job Mix Formula as per Clause No 505.3.3 of MoRTH( 5th Rev) for BM shall be obtained CRRI/IIT, SEMT wing CME Pune or NIT or Govt Engineering College for obtaining Optimum Binder Content(OBC) by the contractor without any financial effect to the Department and same shall be submitted to the Accepting Officer for approval. Any variation in binder content on Minus side shall be adjusted @ Rs 50/Kg of binder and no adjustment shall be made on Plus side. (ii) The Bituminous Macadam(BM) shall be covered with top layer/wearing course within a maximum of 48 hours. If there is to be any delay by the contractor the course shall be covered by seal coat to the requirement of Clause 512 of MoRTH(5th Rev) before opening to the traffic. The seal coat in such cases shall be considered incidental to the work and shall not be paid for separately. (iii) Job Mix formula shall be approved by Accepting Officer.

(iv) Cost of all the materials, T&P labour etc required for providing and laying bituminous macadam including procurement of bitumen as specified here-in-before, stone aggregates & sand, cement etc, rolling and all other elements required for entire completion of the job shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted for this item. (v) Computerized print out of data of bituminous concrete in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant shall be provided to the GE by contractor. AGE (C) shall be ensured the same before payment of any RAR/ Final Bill and kept in records duly signed by contractor/Engr-in-Charge.

M&L for Preparation of existing black top surfaces of road by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc.

M & L for applying evenly a priming/ tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen VG-10 at the rate 10kg per 10 sqm complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for laying and spreading 30mm thick (consolidated thickness) Premix Bituminous semi dense asphaltic concrete (SDAC) as per design based on Job mix formula with 5.5% bitumen binder content (bitumen of grade VG-30) by weight of total mix including heating the bitumen to the required temperature, mixing bituminous concrete in automatic and temperature controlled hot mix plant with an electronic operated 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant, transporting the hot mix from HMP to work site by tippers, laying & spreading uniformly by means of hydrostatic paver finisher, and rolling and cosolidation to the required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne smooth wheeled, vibratory, and tandem power roller, complete in all respects as per Clause 507 MoRTH (5th Rev) specification and all as specified and as directed. Note :-(i) Paving bitumen of Grade VG-30 for SDAC shall be used and procured by the contractor under his own arrangement and at his own cost. (ii) Cost of all the materials, T&P labour etc. required for providing and laying bituminous concrete (SDAC) including procurement of bitumen as specified here-in-before, stone aggregates & sand, cement etc., rolling and all other elements required for entire completion of the job shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted for this item. (iii) Computerized print out of data of bituminous concrete in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant shall be provided to the GE by contractor. AGC shall be ensure the same before payment of any RAR/ Final Bill and kept in records duly signed by contractor/Engr-in-Charge. (iv) The contractor shall quotes the rate against item considering 5.5% VG-30 bitumen content. Job Mix Formula as per Clause No 505.3.3 of MoRTH (5th Rev) for BC shall be worked out from CPRI / IIT, SEMT wing or NIT or Govt Engineering College for obtaining Optimum Binder Content (OBC) by the Contractor without any financial effect to the Department and the same be submitted to the Accepting Officer for approval. Any variation in binder content Minus side shall be adjusted @ 50/Kg of binder and no adjustment shall be made on Plus side

(v) After spreading of Mix as per clause 507.4.7 of MoRTH (5th Rev) entire surface during the operation shall be rolled with Power road roller 8-10 tonne (smooth wheeled) followed with vibratory road roller of 8-10 tonne static weight, followed by finished rolling with 6 to 8 tonne smooth wheel tandem roller as per Clause Nos 507.4.8 of MoRTH (5th Rev) and cost of the same is deemed to be included in quoted unit rate. (vi) Cost of filler i.e, cement lime etc is deemed to be included in quoted rates. (vii) Job mix formula shall be approved by Accepting Officer.

M&L for 2.5 mm thick painting line , stop lines, dashes arrows , letters brackets and similar work on bituminous/concrete pavement/path surfaces as per IRC pattern using approved quality white/golden/yellow thermoplastic road marking paint, mixed with radium glass beads conforming to BIS : 3262-1989 and applied using special applicator machine exceeding 10 cm in width complete all as per manufacturer's instructions and directed by Engr-in-Charge.
