In case the dredged material is not taken away by the Contractor for beneficial use for any reason, then the dredged. material shall be transported and dumped in the designated dumping ground, situated at a distance about 7.00 K.M towards North-west direction from the intersection point of the outer approach channel with (-) 15.40 mtrs contour line (the drawing of the dumping ground enclosed).
The following formula will be adopted for hopper measurement of materials in Trailer Suction Hopper Dredger Volume of solid= VM=TDM /SM

The outer approach channel is of total length 7500 mts. (towards sea which depends upon the shifting of the (-) 15.40 m contour due to siltation). Maintenance dredging of all these areas involves dredging in all types of soil comprising of clay, silt, sand etc.
The dredged material is to be taken away by the dredging Contractor subject to conditions laid down at Item No.1 of PART-III of this BOQ for beneficial use by recycling of dredged material . In case the dredged material is not taken away by the Contractor for beneficial use for any reason, then dredged material shall be transported and dumped in the designated dumping ground, situated at a distance about 7.00 K.M towards North-west direction from the intersection point of the outer approach channel with (-) 15.40 mtrs contour line ( the drawing of the dumping ground enclosed).
