Material and Labour for Locating & pinpointing conductor and insulation faults of low and high resistance, intermittent or flashing nature in XLPE HT underground power cables of the rating 11 KV with the help of Pre-locator with time domain laptop based reflectometer/ electrometer using pulse echo method, impulse current method & decay method, and using DC high voltage surge generator to produce surge to trace route and pinpointing fault with the help of dual channel digital sound system, magnetic & acoustic for location of fault with acoustic transducer (pickup) and the amplifier with headphones, after pinpointing of faut location necessary excavation and taking out of faulty cable for repair/ replacement of joint, relaying of cable/ cover & brick protection, refilling of soil and removal of surplus soil etc at Kannur area complete all as specified & directed . Note: The joint kit shall be measured and paid separately under relevant item. The quantity of item will be executed at different times during currency of contract as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Hence, contractor shall quote his rate accordingly for arranging and executing the items accordingly.

Taking down/ out old HT cable of any sizes from trench & pole including disconnecting all electrical connections and depositing serviceable cable in MES store yard for Re-use at same or other site and removing unserviceable cable from site to take credit. . Reloading the transformer after repairs and testing of transformer; transportation to site and unloading including placing at given position and re-commissioning complete all as specified and directed . Material and labour for repairs toTransformer step down 11KV/0.433 KV any type of capacity 63 KVA to 100 KVA, after dismantling the transformer body carefully, opening the top cover of Transformer for inspection /repair, drain out the transformer oil from the tank complete, taking out the core and winding assy by disconnecting the internal connections, removing the carbon/sludge deposit in transformer housing core, renewal/replacement of u/s rubber bushes and washers , replacement of silica gel, replacement of worn out nut and bolts, cutting the burnt out winding and re-winding the same with suitable size of super enamelled copper wire as per existing gauge, insulating the winding connection by using fire proof sleeve and fire proof tape, warnishing the coil, keeping the coils in electric oven chamber for 24 hrs to remove the moisture, Painting of complete transformer body from outside and inside by weather proof type using spray gun, writing of MES/SM Number etc, replacement of conservator tank glass, re-installing the core and winding inside properly, making the all connection with suitable copper lugs, refilling of dehydrated transformer oil including dehydration, reinstalling the top cover after cleaning , conservator tank, expulsion vent etc, Meggering the LT and HT side of the Transformer and testing complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note :- (a) Cost for Winding wire, nut bolt washer including labour for making of coils are deemed to included in the quoted rate. (b) All other spare parts will be measured and paid separately.
