Excavation in earth work in hilly area in all heights and depths in all kind of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hard rock all work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side,water pollution, etcetra and to protect stability of hill side rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohibited). All earth work in cutting/excavation including rock excavation shall be carried, out true to lines, grades, side slopes, width, camber super-elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge, in conformit with the requirement of technical specification for Rural Road. clause 1603.1 and 1603.2 of General conditions for contract to achieve designed formation width including hauling and safe disposal of unsuitable cut materials upto all lead and lifts in specified manner i/c arrangement of dumping site trimming, filling of unevenness, blindage and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer -in -Charge for smooth riding. . Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall compensated by him in all cases.

Earthwork in excavation for all type of roads, structures such as retaining wall, breast wall, culvert, drain and parapets etc. in all type of classification of soil comprising of ordinary soil, ordinary rock, hard rock chiesling / wedging out rocks (where blasting is prohibeted) as per drawing and technical specification true to lines and grades. Dimesions and other particulars as per drawing and Technical Specification Clause 305.1(Three hundred Five point One) and 1606.1(One six zero six point one) including setting out, construction of shoring and bracing, removal of stumps and other deleterious material and disposal upto all lead and lifts including dressing of sides and bottom and backfilling in trenches with excavated suitable material. All work of excavation by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosions, damage to hill side & any structure near about, water pollutions etc., and to protect stability of hill side rock. Stacking of materials useful for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal of unserviceable excavated materials in specified manners to dumping site(to be arranged by the contractor), trimming, filling of unevenness blindages and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Any loss to the public or private property during the course of execution shall be the sole responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to be duly compensated by him at his own cost of all cases.
