Renovation of Type III 10 Nos and Type IV 6 Nos Staff Qtr at CSIR-NGRI, Hyderabad

Description of Items :

Part A- Civil Work-Dismantling tile work in floors, dado and roofs laid in cement mortar including all lead and lift and stacking as per Engineer-in-charge and dispose the dismantled/demolished un-useful materials along compound wall in-side the NGRI campus as per instruction of Engineer-in-charge .

Hacking of CC flooring including cleaning for surface etc. complete as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing and laying Glazed/matt/antiskid finish vitrified floor tiles(make of RAK/ORIENT/Kajaria premium or equivalent ) in different sizes (thickness to be specified by the manufacturer) with water absorptions less than 0.08% and conforming to IS :15622 of approved make , in all colours and shades, built in design tiles etc.including providing different coloured tiles of required size in designs as per instructions of Engineer in-charge including fixing with cement based high polymer modified quick set tile adhesive (water based) conforming to IS 15477 in average 6 mm thickness including grouting the joints with white cement and matching pigments etc complete.

Removing dry or oil bound distemper by scrapping, sand papering and preparing the surface smooth including necessary repairs to scratches etc. complete. (Note:- The removing of paint must be carried out by using a dry paint sander machine with vacuum suction means dust free. Contractor must be enaged minimum three machine at time.) Without machine work will be not excuted.

Applying one coat of cement primer of approved brand and manufacture on wall surface:

Providing and applying white cement based putty of average thickness 1 mm, of approved brand and manufacturer, over the plastered wall surface to prepare the surface even and smooth complete.

Wall painting with acrylic emulsion paint as approved by Engineer-in-charge, having VOC (Volatile Organic Compound ) content less than 50 grams/ litre, of approved brand and manufacture, including applying additional coats wherever required,(make of Asian or equivalent) to achieve even shade and colour. New work (two or more coats) over and including one priming coat with base coat

Repairs to plaster of thickness 12 mm to 20 mm in patches of area 2.5 sq.meters and under, including cutting the patch in proper shape, raking out joints and preparing and plastering the surface of the walls complete, including disposal of rubbish to the dumping ground, all complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. With cement mortar 1:4 (1cement: 4 coarse sand)

Chipping of unsound/weak concrete material from slabs, beams, columns etc. with manual Chisel and/ or by standard power driven percussion type or of approved make including tapering of all edges, making square shoulders of cavities including cleaning the exposed concrete surface and reinforcement with wire brushes etc. and disposal of debris for all lead and lifts all complete as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge. 25 mm average thickness

Providing, mixing and applying bonding coat of approved adhesive on chipped portion of RCC as per specifications and direction of Engineer-In-charge complete in all respect. Epoxy bonding adhesive having coverage 2.20 sqm/kg of approved make Fosroc or equivalent.

Providing and laying Ceramic glazed floor tiles 450x450 mm (thickness to be specified by the manufacturer) of 1st quality conforming to IS : 15622 of approved make in colours such as White, Ivory, Grey, Fume Red Brown, laid on 20 mm thick Cement Mortar 1:4 (1 Cement : 4 Coarse sand) including pointing the joints with white cement and matching pigment etc., complete.

Providing and fixing Ist quality ceramic glazed wall tiles of size 300x450 mm or 300x600 mm conforming to IS: 15622 (thickness to be specified by the manufacturer), of approved make, in all colours, shades except burgundy, bottle green, black of any size as approved by Engineer-in-Charge, in skirting, risers of steps and dados, over 12 mm thick bed of cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand) and jointing with grey cement slurry @ 3.3kg per sqm, including pointing in white cement mixed with pigment of matching shade complete.

Providing and fixing 18mm thick gang saw cut mirror polished, premoulded and prepolished )machine cut for kitchen platforms, vanity counters ,window sills ,facias and similar locations of required size of approved shade, colour and texture laid over 20 mm thick base cement mortar 1:4 ( 1 cement : 4 coarse sand) with joints treated with white cement, mixed with matching pigment, epoxy touch ups, including rubbing, curing etc., complete at all levels. Best quality fine texture Granite of any colour and shade ( Z Black, Telephone black or best equivalent) Area of slab over 0.50 sqm

Extra for providing edge moulding to 18mm thick marble stone counters, Vanities etc. including machine polishing to edge to high gloss finish etc.complete as per design approved by Engineer. Granite work.

Painting with synthetic enamel paint of approved brand and manufacture of required colour to give an even shade: (Make of Asain or equivalent). Two or more coats on new work over an under coat of suitable shade with primer & a coat of wood filler of approved brand and manufacture.

Taking out doors, windows and clerestory window shutters (steel or wood) including stacking within 50 metres lead : Of area beyond 3 sq. metres

Providing and fixing panelled or panelled and glazed shutters for doors, windows and clerestory windows, fixing with butt hinges of required size with necessary screws, excluding panelling which will be paid for separately, all complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. (Note:- inculding S.S. Butt hinges and necessary screws shall not be paid separately) Second class African teak wood, 30 mm thick shutters

Providing and fixing panelling or panelling and glazing in panelled or panelled and glazed shutters for doors, windows and clerestory windows (Area of opening for panel inserts excluding portion inside grooves or rebates to be measured). Providing and fixing Float glass panes withnecessary accessories including nesscesary wooden beading etc to complete the job. 4 mm thick glass pane (weight not less than 10kg/sqm).

Providing and fixing of SS. wire gauge of average width of aperture 1.4 mm in both directions with wire of dia 0.5 mm, including Solid PVC shutter with necessary beedings screws etc, windows and clerestory windows to complete the job as per Instructions of Engineer-In-Charge

Making of Drop wall/chajja/shelves at Ground floor lintal level and first floor lintal level by using Cement Mortar (1Cement :4 Coarse Sand) and two layer of chicken wire mesh including strengthing by using new TMT Bar and Binding wire.( TMT Bar will be measured spearately.) TMT bar will be fixed with epoxy grout of make Fosroc or Hilti. Waterproofing chemicals will be mixed in the cement mortar and making grooves in old walls is included in the item cost.

Making plinth protection 50mm thick of cementconcrete 1:3:6 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand (zone-III) derived from natural sources : 6 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size derived from natural sources) over 75mm thick bed of dry stone aggregate 40 mm nominal size, well rammed and consolidated and grouted with fine sand, including necessary excavation, levelling & dressing & finishing the top smooth.

Providing and fixing cupboard shutter with 19mm thick one side decorative and other side balancing lamination factory pressed BWP grade marine ply as per IS 710 of approved brand including 2mm thick PVC edge banding tape with hot glue by edge bending machine etc. with auto closing spring loaded hinges (hydraulic type) etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.
