M&L for attending breakdown of CI/DI/MS pipelines of 380/400 mm dia at any place/location by excavating any type of soil/road surface etc. incl cleaning/clearing of site of work by removal of damaged/old unsv pipelines in various lengths incl fittings etc. through any mode like gas/manual cutting incl use of items/ equipment like dewatering pumps, JCBs, Cranes, Welding Machines, Portable DG Sets etc. as per site requirement & replacing with new DI/MS pipes incl connecting fittings/fixtures, testing for leakages & making good the disturbed/damaged road surfaces with PCC 1:2:4 using 20 mm graded aggregate & suitable earthwork for any type of soil surfaces complete all as specified & as directed by the Engr-In-Charge.

M&L for attending rectification/repair of CI/DI/GI pipelines/Sluice Valves etc. of 80 to 100 mm dia incl No Water Supply & other Water related complaints at any place/location by excavating any type of soil/road surface etc. incl cleaning/clearing of site of work by removal of damaged/old unsv pipelines/fittings/fixtures/joints etc. through any mode incl use of necessary Tools/Plants/Vehicles etc. as per site requirement & rectifying by replacing with new DI/GI pipes/fittings/fixtures as required on ground incl general/routine complaints like clearing of blockages, tightening of leaking joints, cutting/threading & jointing, repair/rectification of float valves of service tanks, replacement of unsv/leaking fittings/fixtures etc. testing for leakages & making good the disturbed/damaged surfaces with suitable earthwork for any type of soil surfaces complete all as specified & as directed by the Engr-In-Charge.

All as per Item above but for pipeline of size upto 25 mm bore.

Note for item No 1 to 6 :- (i) The Contr will be alloted complaints at MES Complaint Cell on requirement basis on all working days incl Sundays & Holidays. Sufficient Tradesman/Resources etc. should be deployed by him for completion of day to day complaints within 12 Hrs & 24 Hrs for major breakdowns from the time of reporting/intimation about the complaint. During urgent/emergent cases intimation/information about the breakdown will be conveyed to the Contr through Telephonic/Electronic modes. In the event of any delay beyond above mentioned time limit without prior intimation or genuine cause, Penalty at the rate of twice the quoted rate for each un-attended complaint shall be recovered.

(ii) A complaint register with complete details of number of complaints received, number of complaints attended, number of complaints completed, nature of complaint, fitments/fittings etc. used in the rectification process with remarks column from User/MES will be maintained by the Contr & the same shall be updated on a daily basis with initials of JE E/M & periodic checking from Engr-In-Charge/GE. (iii) Quoted rate is deemed to be inclusive of the following & no extra payment shall be allowed on this account : (a) Cost of transportation of Manpower/Materials/Resources etc. to & from the complaint site. (b) Hiring Charge of items/equipments like JCB/Crane/Gas Cutter/Welding Machine/DG Set etc. required for succesful completion/rectification of the complaint. (c) Cost of making good the damaged/disturbed WBM Road Surfaces/PCC/Hard Standing/LT/HT Cables/Water/Sewage Pipelines/existing structures etc. In the event of any damage to the property/assets of any State/Central Depts, the making good of the damaged/disturbed surfaces etc. & matching to the existing finish has to be done as per their norms/requirement.

(d) Cost of run lead joint for rectification of leakage of pipelines. (e) Cost of taking down damaged/old unsv pipes incl fittings. (f) Cost of labour element excluding for fixing of new pipes. (g) Any item/job missed out in the item description/specification but technically required for successful completion of the work/job is deemed to be included in the unit quoted rates. (iv) Items/Works wrt S&F of any Pipelines incl connecting fittings/fixtures & Excavation shall be measured & paid separately under relevant items.

Supply, lay, jointing and testing ductile iron pipes with spigot & socket ends of size 80 mm bore, class K7, centrifugally cast conforming to IS 8329 with cement mortar lining inside surface of pipe including suitable rubber gasket joints (Tyton joint), in any length, laid to level or to falls in trenches/on grounds/on support/stand complete all as specified and to the entire satisfaction of the Eng-in-Charge. (Length includes running connecting fittings such as bends, tees, crosses etc.). NOTE : 1) The colour coding of the pipes meant for different purposes/locations is to be got approved from the Engr-In-Charge before commencement of the work. 2) Every care w.r.t. safety of the workers while preparation/painting of the pipe lines to & fro Over Head Tanks or other high mounting structures is to be taken & the Contr shall be responsible for the same. Safety belts, working tools, ladders, stagings etc. shall be provided by the Contr & the cost of the same is deemed to be included in the unit quoted rates.

M&L for fabrication of 4.0 MM thick MS sheet covers for Valve Pit Chambers with necessary nuts, bolts, washers or welded attachment incl welding etc. work complete as required at site including applying two coats of black bituminous lead free paint over a coat of red oxide primer after preparation of surfaces complete all as specified & as directed.

(ii) Quoted rate is deemed to be inclusive of taking down of the existing column pipes, submersible pump & connected items & refixing/installation of the same incl testing after the complete development/flushing process. (iii) The contractor/firm is required to visit the proposed sites of bore wells prior to quoting of the subject items/ work so as to ascertain the actual ground requirements. Any further query at a later date shall not be entertained & responsibility of the same shall rest on the contractor/ firm.
