30.2.1 : Trenching in ordinary soil up to a depth of 60 cm including removal and stacking of serviceable materials and then disposing of surplus soil, by spreading and neatly levelling within a lead of 50 m and making up the trenched area to proper levels by filling with earth or earth mixed with sludge or / and manure before and after flooding trench with water (excluding cost of imported earth, sludge or manure).

30.2.6 : Uprooting weeds from the trenched area after 10 to 15 days of its flooding with water including disposal of uprooted vegetation.

Miyawaki Forest

Preparation of soil : Removing and disposing all debris and weeds from the proposed site using JCB.Soil should be treated for water infilteration with root perforation capacity by using perforated materials like husk,coir fiber etc. for maintaining nourishment .Use organic fertilizer such as cow manure,goat manure ,vermi compost .Provide green net to prevent direct sunlight for maintaining soil moisture and protect young saplings upto 5 months. There should not be waterlogging,excess water must be drained using proper drainage facility.

Creating Miyawaki forest: Create it with natural vegetation best suited to the area being planted. Forest should be multi-layered with four layer vegetation which include canopy trees,trees,sub trees and shrubs. Should plant different locally available species of plants for maintaining bio diversity. Sapling must be evergreen ,deciduous,perennial with ideal height (60-80 cm).40-50% of total number of trees must be major forest species (i.e atleast 5 different forest species). 25-40% common species.Watering must be done using drip irrigation facility only
