A. Bridge I. Earthwork in foundation & Service road Earth work in excavation of foundation of structures as per drawing and technical specification, including setting out, removing, spreading or stacking of spoils within a lead of 150 m. as directed and including trimming the sides of the trenches, leveling, dressing and ramming the bottom, complete as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge. By Mechanical means. I. In all sorts of soil excluding marshy soil & rocks (soft or hard) by manual means (i) With pumping out water including shoring as required. a) upto 3 m depth

b) 3 m to 6 m depth

Pumping out water from ponds or tanks(Payment if permitted will be made on the quantity of water calculated on the basis of initial water level and final level on consideration being made for any waterthat may have been added through percolation or otherwise)

Earthwork in filling in foundation trenches withgood earth in layers not exceeding 15cm. including watering and ramming layer by layer complete withearth obtained from excavation of foundation or from fresh excavation of land arranged by Department within a lead of 150 m.

Supplying and laying Polythene Sheet (150gm / sq.m.) over damp proof course or below flooring or roof terracing or in foundation or in foundation trenches.

Brick soling with picked jhama bricks including preparation of bed as necessary with brick joints properly filled in and packed with powdered earth and including necessary cushion of similar material below the soling (and in between layers when more than one layer is used) completes as per direction (a) Single Brick Flat Soling (75 mm thick)

Providing and laying of Filter media with granular materials/stone crushed aggregates/brick aggregates /river bed materials satisfying the requirements laid down in clause 2504.2.2 of MoRT&H Specifications to a thickness of not less than 600 mm with smaller size towards the soil and bigger size towards the wall and provided over the entire surface behind abutment, wing wall and return wall to the full height compacted to a firm condition complete as per drawing and technical specification.

Providing and constructing Temporary Service Road of width not less than 3.75 m over river for movement of men, equipment and construction machineries from one pier / abutment location to another pier / abutment location considering necessary stability and safety aspects by providing and driving suitable piles, providing fitting, fixing suitable R.S. Joist, Channels, angles and wooden sleeper as per design requirement including dismantling and taking out the entire service road after construction. ii) With R. S. Joist Pile b)Height of deck above bed level above 3.25 m & upto 4.25 m.

Providing and constructing Service Road of width 4.0 m to reach island location from one pier location to another pier location with height upto 1 m. by sand / dry soil filled cement / polyethylene bags and removal of the same after main construction activity.
