Wiring in Relay Room/Auto Hut/IBS hut/LC Gate Per Unit Hut: Fixing of Q series relay base plate/ Metal to Metal relay mini group and major group base plates, laying, lacing, dressing & packeting of 60/40 core PVC indoor cable/ flexible wire and termination of 60/40 core cable/ flexible wire on tag block/base plate & soldering. Wiring of circuits to be done as per the approved diagram based on relay interlocking system using metal to metal/metal to carbon type relays and soldering after testing. Contractor will arrange seal tablet & seal wire suitable for k50 relay for entire relay room. Wiring in Relay Room/Auto Hut/IBS hut/LC Gate Per Unit Hut: Plugging of Q series relay, Metal to Metal relay/relay groups. Energisation of the system, making the panel through, functional test as per control table with contractor's own mock panel, break test & wire count test if applicable to be d o n e in presence of Rly. Engineers. This will include wiring alterations required if any at that stage, preparation and submission of wire count detail register etc.The work shall be done as per extant practice on W.C.Rly & the instruction of Rly engineer at site. All type of resistances ,capacitors etc required for commissioning have to be provided by the contractor free of cost & commissioning of system after testing.The item unit will be Per Rack.
Excavation, casting(1:3:6) and plastereing (above Numbers ground level) of main signal foundation as per Drg.No.Sr.DSTE(W)/Sig foundation/13 with contractor's own materials including cement & galvanised anchor bolts of standard size. The hole for cable entry should be kept as per site requirement and instruction of Rly engineer at s i t e . The required scaffolding Ferma etc for casting of foundation will have to be brought by the contractor at his own cost. All nuts, bolts and washers etc. should be galvanised iron.
Erection of Main Signal( CLS) Post with Surface Numbers base and signal base and signal unit on top or on OFF Set Bracket, fixing of front and back staging, ladder and guard, signal name plates/board if any with contractors own brackets, nuts & bolts & other fixing materials. This also includes erection of auxiliary signals like calling on, shunt signal , protective screen if any. Wooden cross-arms to be provided by the contractor till the signals are commissioned with contractor's own fixing material. The work shall be done as per instructions of Rly engineer at site. If the ladder/front/back stagging is infringing the SOD, then suitable arrangement of fixing steps for climbing upto signal unit and reducing the size of front/back stagging as per instructions of site engineer shall be done.The balance material to be returned back to the railways. Termination Terminals/wago/ Pheonix terminals, fuse blocks,8- Conductor way terminals block in the apparatus cases.This includes all associated works of pulling out the cable from underground ,dressing of cable making wiring tree etc.Both ends of a cable core shall be counted as per conductor. This includes soldering of armour of cables in location boxes . The work shall be done as per instructions of Rly engineer at site.This also includes supply of lacing thread.
Supply & Fixing of lamp holders (two pin) with Numbers switches (ISI mark) of reputed make for location boxes. This also includes supply of bulb of reputed make.
Installation of earth electrode assembly as per Numbers Drg.No.RE/S&T/SIG/Tender/SK 726/85 including earth wire connected through GI wire 8 SWG supported on M.S flat of size 6mm x 40mm to earth electrode as per drg. No. NGP/S&T/309 for sig. Equipment such as lever frames, apparatus case, signals, relay racks, block instruments, and etc. as per RE- manual. the earth value should be less than 10 Ohms including the lead wire. The value should be measured in presence of Rly. supervisors. It should be documented and painted on earth enclosure made of concrete.(only earth electrode will be supplied by Railway). All other material required for provision of earthing will be brought by the contractor. Earth encloser to be prepared by contractors own material of ratio 1:3:6.. Additional connection of Earth pipe with the function shall be done using left over pieces of signalling cable. Laying of cable pieces shall be covered in laying of cable item.
Excavation of trench 1.2 mtr deep, 300mm wide Kilometre at the bottom along main line in normal soil, including clearing of bushes, trees etc and refilling of the trench by excavated soil and ramming after laying of the required quantity of cables as per instructions of Engineer at site. The work also includes excavation of trenches in the beds of culverts. Whenever the dimensions of cable Trenches as mentioned in the Tender Schedule are not easily achievable due to terrain conditions, then payments will be made on a pro- rata basis, for the dimensions achieved.The specific approval of the Engineer in charge of the work (not below the rank of Sr. Scale officer), will be required for such dispensation. Excavation of cable trench 300mm wide at the Kilometre bottom and 1.2 meter deep in hard soil mixed with bolders / hard murum soil including clearing of trees, bushes and refilling of cable trench by excavated soil, murum, bolders etc. Care should be taken while refilling the cable trench such that the murum / bolders etc. does not damage the cable. Ramming after laying of cable (a) 6- quad (b) jelly filled & power cables etc. Whenever the dimensions of cable Trenches as mentioned in the Tender Schedule are not easily achievable due to terrain conditions, then payments will be made on a pro-rata basis, for the dimensions achieved.The specific approval of the Engineer in charge of the work (not below the rank of Sr. Scale officer), will be required for such dispensation.
Excavation of cable trench 1.0m deep from the Metre rail flange and 300mm wide across the track, for track crossing and refilling after laying of GI pipes and restore the track to its original condition. The work shall be done as per extant practice on W.C. Rly & instruction of Rly engineer at site. Cable trench as per Drg. No.TS/Cable laying/12/03/03.For achieving 1.0 m depth for the bottom most cable , the contractor shall dig the trenches to a depth, slightly more than 1.0 m to take care of practical problems.

All work pertaining to Horizontal Dirctional Drilling Metre (HDD)/Boring and trenchless cabling. It includes supply, transportation and insertion of self lubricated HDPE Pipe and laying of cables in boring under the track/road/platform/circulating area by using different sizes of pipes depending on total number of cables will be crossed. The depth of horizontal boring should be minimum 1 mtr upto 3 mtr, from rail flange/ road level/ground level as per site requirement and as per instructions of Railway Engineer incharge. This item will be used for track crossing of running lines, road crossing & circulating area. By using self lubricated HDPE Pipe of 120mm outer dia and 103.5mm inner dia in the bore and laying of cables in the bore under the track/road/circulating area.
Supply & laying of well burnt bricks of size Numbers 5000.00 200X90X70mm inside the trench (with the brick length being perpendicular to cable route) after laying of cable in station area from Outermost to Outermost signal or at any other location as per instruction of Site Engineer.. Note :- Size of bricks to be got approved by Site Engineer. In case brick size is in variance with the size given in the tender schedule then proportionate payment on volumetric basis shall be paid to contractor subject to a maximum limit of schedule rate.

Rly & the instructions of Rly engineer at site. Sample to be approved by engineer in-charge of the Railways before supply, after the testing prescribed in drawing. This includes supply of Paints of different colours as per drawing. The paint shall be either from Asian or Shalimar / Apcolite / Berger having ISI mark.
