CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR SOIL INVESTIGATION FOR REPLACEMENT OF OHR UG SUMP AT LL AND STRUCTURAL AUDIT FOR THE VARIOUS BUILDINGS OF SECT B AT OL BARODA

Boring hole of 100mm dia by rotary drilling for soil investigation in any type of soil/rock/concrete floors and sub bases refusal including boulders weathered rock up to depth of 15 mtrs each or as directed alongwith SPT at every 1.50M, and carrying out SPT and other tests required for designing the foundation of building.

NOTE : (I) Test report should include all the tests as required for designing the foundation such as SPT values bore logs soil classification and also should cover the general recommendations for the proposed type of foundation system safe bearing capacity likely total settlement etc. The report shall be submitted in quintuplicate duly bounded in a presentable manner. The unit’s rate quoted shall be deemed to be included the cost of submission of such reports and samples of Soil.

NOTE : (II) Water will be supplied by the Department.

NOTE : (III) The report should contain following test as applicable to the soil on ground:-

(i) Soil plate/Plate load test carried out at 5 mtr depth.

(ii) Bore hole chart

(iii) Profile of all type bore holes.

(iv) Bearing capacity calculation indicating SBC of soil with the type of foundation and depth.

(v) Consolidated test on undisturbed sample.

(vi) Chemicals analysis of ground water.

(vii) Unconsolidated and un-drained triaxial shear test.

(viii) Crushing strength of hard rock samples recovered.

(ix) SBC of ground with type of foundation.

(x) Existing water table (if met)

(xi) Photographic record during the progress.

Carry out Contour Survey/Topographical Survey work by Total Station include Marking of Important structure and utilities (Road, Buildings, Sewage Line, Trees, Drains and Electric Lines) Contour will be plotted at interval of 3 meter and drawing of 1 soft copy + 5 Hardcopies.

Consultancy services for Structural audit for the various buildings ( listed in tender )of Sector 'B' at Vadodara.

Structural audit of existing brick masonary structures by visual inspection, collection of brick / mortar samples and conducting of comprehensive strength / water absorption on bricks, cement content / chemical analysis on masonry mortar and providing detailed report including suggestions for repair / retrofitting along with methodology and material specifications (excluding BOQ) if required.

NOTE : (I) The details of various buildings is mentioned in Annexure-II (14 nos of buildings). Note : If any RCC structural members are found in existing brick masonry structure during visual inspection then it is necessary to perform NDT test.

NOTE : (II) To carry out additional Non Destructive tests.

a) Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Test

b) Half Cell Potential Test.

c) Carbonation Depth Test.

d) Core Test.

NOTE : (III) Consultancy charges for preparation of report which includes

a) The findings from detailed visual inspection

b) Non-destructive test results

c) Suggested remedial measures

d) Bill of Quantities.

NOTE : (IV) Charges for site visits, supervision, measurement, certification, checking of works during the time of repairing/ rehabilition works done by contractors.

NOTE : (VI) To carry out site visit after completion of repair works and issue a structural fitness certificate.

NOTE : (VII) The above rates deemed to include charges towards hiring a vehicle for trasnportation, hiring labours and tools /tackles / equipments required for testing visit charges of Engineer and supporting staff, contingencies etc. The consultant will have services of :

1. Licensed Structual Engineer (highest category) registered with APPROPRIATE AUTHORITY.

2. Trained and experienced surveyors.

3. Engineer to conduct Structual Audit as per the guidelines of the Indian Society of Structural Engineers.

NOTE : (VIII) Consultant will have:

a) Methodology supported by exhaustive checklists and software.

b) Detailed report alongwith documentation of flat wise observation.

c) Consultants have to submit adequate nos of photographs representing states of the buldings, stressed (if any) of the buildings, tests carried out, results, remedial/ rehabilitation measurs for the buildings etc alongwith the audit reports and afterwards.

Consultants shall visits the site frequently during the progress of repairing work to supervise the work.

To discuss the findings of the audit with concerned govt departments and to obtain a certificate from municiple authority on the safety/ stability of the buildings.
