GENERAL SERVICES AND WHARFAGE
The estimated drydock and afloat repairs is [Total -90 days, Afloat repair is 60 days and 30 days for dock] from the date of handing over the vessel to Shipyard
Vessel to be safely berthed at a suitable yard's repair berth when Vessel is not in drydock. Services are to be provided at the repair berth as well as in the drydock as required. Please quote number of day basis including berth hire charges and wharfage. Payment will be paid at actual.
On arrival plastic sheets to be laid in all alleyways and cabin and conference rooms where carpet is used to avoid any damage to existing floor mats. [Approx. 500 m2]
MOORING AND UNMOORING [Payment will be made at actual]
Mooring & unmooring and shifting with the assistance of pilot required number of tugs rigger, boatsman and docking master. [Payment will be made at actual]
For berthing on repair berth on Vessels arrival.
For unberthing to enter drydock.
For berthing at the repair berth again only if required after undocking.
For unberthing from repair berth for sea trial
For berthing at the repair berth after completion of sea trial
For unberthing from repair berth for sailing.
Docking and Undocking including block preparation and setting as per docking plan of the vessel (only one version docking). [Payment will be made at actual] Any intermediate un-docking/ re-docking for yard purposes or due to any deficiencies in water-tightness found after re-floating is under shipyard's scope
Vessel to be safely docked in a suitable drydock on blocks of adequate height [as per the ship's docking plan]. Please note that Sagar Nidhi has a Gondola below the ship’s keel which is also indicated in the docking plan. Please quote for total dry-dock hire charges for total period of dd on day basis. Please note work to be continued on weekends and holidays - Includes dock preparation and setting up of block - Adequate no. of divers to be arranged at the time of docking - Providing Staging, Hot work, Blanking, Electrical Isolation, Cleaning, hull support - Un docking after completion of drydock repairs
Provide protection of equipment on deck and accommodation Deck equipment to be protected from damages due to blasting and other dry dock works Port holes, Bridge windows, ECR windows, Accommodation door glasses and other openings to be protected from damages due to blasting and other dry dock works. If any extra blocks to be arranged to suit the docking arrangement for proper load sharing while shifting N.B. : If Vessel is shifted for yard's convenience NIOT would not be liable for charges for same.
FIRE PRECAUTIONS
To supply sea water for ship's fire main lines at all times during entire period of stay. Pressures in the fire main line on deck to be maintained atleast at 3 kgs per cm sq. So that minimum 2 fire hoses can be used simultaneously in case required
To provide one fire watchman during entire period of vessel's stay in yard premises and for all hot works
SECURITY GUARD One security guard to be provided daily for the duration of vessel's stay at the yard 24*7.
GARBAGE DISPOSAL To remove galley refuse once per day.
To provide one sewage holding portable tank and the same to be connected to main sanitary line till the ship`s sewage treatment plant remains un operational
To provide as and when required shore crane services for lifting of ship's stores spares provisions etc; on board. Quote charges inclusive of slings and riggers. estimated requirement _3_ hrs daily. Yard must get the total time crane used for each occasion certified by ship's staff showing therein date and hrs. Of each crane usage.
Drydock Auxiliary services during the drydock Provide the gangway during the stay at dock and afloat repair at shipyard
Removal of Garbage on daily basis during the stay at dock. Skip to me made available on main deck and to be emptied on daily basis
TO PROVIDE POWER SUPPLY TO THE VESSEL FOR 150KW PER HOUR (OR 2400 KWHR PER DAY) APPROX. LOAD (400V 50Hz 500A), SHIPYARD TO QUOTE FOR ENTIRE DRY DOCKING PERIOD. Suitable power cable and its connection and dis connection as part of scope Energy meter reading will be noted down in front ship staff/NIOT during starting and end of service. Proper record to be maintained by shipyard. Payment will be done as per actual consumption
130 kL LSHFHSD to be transferred to Shore storage tanks and to be pumped back to ship tanks after repairs. Additional quantity if any will be paid on pro-rate basis.
Engine room bilges to be transferred daily/ as and when required assume 1 Cu.m per day
A) All ventilation intakes on the main deck to be covered prior grit blasting. B) All port holes to be covered before grit blasting and during painting and cleaned after completion of works.
GAS FREE / HOT WORK CERTIFICATES
Yard to arrange for govt. / authorised explosive inspectors for obtaining gas free certificate / hot work certificate for compartments / tanks /enclosed space entry on board as required during the repair period. Copy of respective certificates shall be submitted to Ship staff Assume __3__ compartments to be certified periodically. [Payment will be made at actuals]
Fresh Water
Shipyard to supply fresh water for ship's domestic use as and when required. Total estimated requirements ___10_____ tons per day plus ___450____ tons [Payment will be made at actuals]
Cooling Water
Yard to supply cooling water for fridge and/or air conditioning units during the time when vessel is in dry dock assume supply through two lines. Please note : In case cooling water supply as above is common with fire main line yard to take adequate pressure is maintained in fire main line at all times. [Payment will be made at actuals]
BALLAST WATER
Yard to fill ballast water using yard's pumps in say__06_ ballast tanks as required in _4____ hrs. Estimated quantity of ballast water to fill in _700 tons Note: Yard to quote rate including rigging / unrigging of yard's pumps and due attendance during the ballasting operation.
DE-BALLASTING
Yard to de-ballast water using yard's pumps for de-ballasting. In say 06 number of ballast tanks as required in 4 hrs. Estimated quantity of ballast water to pump out _700_ tons. the rate quoted by the yard to include rigging / unrigging of yard's pumps and attendance during de-ballasting operation.
WOODEN PLUGS Yard to provide and fix __18__ numbers of wooden plugs with spouts to scuppers and pipes of the vessel in drydock. If drain plugs are damaged, same should be replaced with new one within the quoted price. Cementing to be completed of the drain plugs as per Class surveyor's satisfaction before undocking
Trial Berth
Yard to arrange and provide trial berth if considered necessary by attending superintendent . Charges quoted to be on the basis that trial berth required for 1 day per trial [2 sea trial] and inclusive of necessary assistance during the trial.
All under hull transducers/sensors to be cleaned/serviced and need to protect while sand blasting and painting. Gondola and Drop keel area to be cleaned with low pressure wash. Transducer to be covered with 6mm ply wood.
H.P.WASHING All external surfaces of the hull to be cleaned with high pressure fresh water jets to remove all the fouling and salt deposits at a pressure not less than 90kg/cm sq. Total surface area is 4000 sq mtrs.
Above water area __1800 sq mtrs.
Under water area__ 2200 sq mtrs.
Normal light scraping to be carried out on under water area mentioned in the above h.p washing.
FRESH WATER WASHING All external surfaces of the hull to be washed with fresh water to remove all the dirt/ dust particles before applying coats of paint For areas refer 16 above.
THICKNESS DETERMINATION Thickness determination (UTG) as per surveyor recommendations Conducting Ultrasonic Thickness Gauging of hull, tanks, decks and as per Class recommendations Ultrasonic Thickness Gauging report with recommendation for plate renewal to be submitted to IRS/NIOT [Payment will be made at actuals]
GRIT BLASTING AND PAINTING BLASTING AND PAINTING Grit Blasting SA 2.5 shall be carried out to facilitate proper application of painting. Technical superintendent along with OEM will inspect hull areas before application of any paint. [Only guidelines are provided in the below columns. Bidders should get paint scheme from the recommended paint manufacturers like International, Jotun & Akzo Nobel. Paint inspection certificate to be submitted from the OEM/Paint inspector. Paint inspector should be arranged by the shipyard]. All in way jobs required for cleaning, blasted, painting, etc, should be within the quoted amount. Note: LP F.W. washing to be done, before applying system coats on the hull and the superstructure within the quoted amount. Self life 30 months to be applied and endorsement of records to be issued for continued validity of AFS All paint is under the scope of shipyard supply

STEEL RENEWAL -SHELL AND INSIDE TANKS [All steel are under the scope of shipyard supply]
ANCHOR CABLES & CHAIN LOCKERS Item length-250mtr dia-44mm All Materials, Spares, consumables, paints, etc. which are required for complete the scope of work as mentioned below is under the scope of shipyard. Both anchor chains to be ranged in the drydock and high pressure washed. 09 length port and 09 length stbd (247.5 mtrs each)
Grit blasting & markings of both anchor chains port & stbd .(with rings 9 shackle on each side - chains to be reversed end -to -end and marked accordingly).
Gauging of anchor chain to be carried out after ranging the chain on the dock. Check the swivel anchor shackles and the kenter shackles. Secure back in position after the work.
Port and starboard side anchor chain 01 No. swivel piece and 03 No. kenter shackle to be installed/connected as required
Both port and stbd anchors to be shown to the surveyor. Work to be carried out as per surveyors recommendation.
Any recommendation by Classification society for the chain renewal and anchor to be done by shipyard without any additional cost. 2 length of anchor chain and 3 kenter shackle to be supplied.
CHAIN LOCKERS All Materials, Spares, consumables, paints, etc. which are required for complete the scope of work as mentioned below is under the scope of shipyard. Chain lockers to be demucked, cleaned and painted
Grit blasting of entire chain locker including hawse pipe and spurling pipe.

Anchors to be examined by IRS surveyor and repair works to be done as per IRS recommendation within the quoted amount.
STEEL RENEWAL - SHELL AND INSIDE TANKS
After the docking survey as recommended by the class surveyor damaged hull plate to be renewed as and where required. Being a ICE class-1C vessel, high-tensile steel shall be used. Mentionably at the two locations: under 10 ton crane boom-rest base and adjoining stbd sea chest in E/R. To be attended to upto Class Surveyor's satisfaction. Any survey recommendation before or after steel renewal viz. APT, RT, MPT, etc. to be done within the quoted amount. All inway jobs to be considered within the quoted amount. All Materials, Spares, consumables, paints, etc. which are required for complete the scope of work as mentioned below is under the scope of shipyard. Payments shall be made as per actuals. Note: Should include staging, cleaning, removal/refit of obstructions/ insulations/bulkheads/NDT Bulkhead should be renewed by the bidder at no extra cost if damaged while removing The bulkheads which are renewed should be of same color and quality Above rate applicable for structural members
Cropping and renewal of Deck plates : Steel (Plate 6 to 12.5mm thick) steel high tensile class approved Note: should include staging cleaning removal/refit of obstructions/insulations/bulkheads/NDT Bulkheads should be renewed by the bidder at no extra cost if damaged while removing The bulkheads which are renewed should be of same color and quality. Above rate applicable for structural members. Any survey recommendation before or after steel renewal viz. APT, RT, MPT, etc. to be done within the quoted amount. A FRAME 60TON 60 Ton A frame to be chipped &painted with suitable color: Paint is under the scope of shipyard supply.
Wasted and corroded topside railings to be cropped and renewed as per existing. After spot chipping wasted and corroded stiffeners and rusted bolts and nuts to be renewed.
Renewal of ship side D fenders both steel and rubber (adjacent to fuel tanks)

HATCH COVERS (BOUY HOLD SKYLIGHT) REPAIRS Skylight LXB 4.5m x 4.5m to chip primer and paint finish coat. cleats and locking mechanism to be made free and operational. beading to be renewed. All Materials, Spares, consumables, paints, etc. which are required for complete the scope of work as mentioned is under the scope of shipyard.
Packing to be renewed approx.. length 18mtrs. Packing dimensions as per existing arrangements

AHU 1 Room AHU 1 room deck to be Gauged for thickness , Blasted , Chipped and to be painted. Drain Hole to be fabricated at bottom level of the room to avoid water stagnation. AHU casings in very rusted condition and same to be rectified and made weathertight. All necessary valves 4no, 40NB and supply lines 20 mtr to be checked and replaced. GMDSS panel - on /off load display GMDSS panel to be fitted with Ammeter/Voltmeter (24v) display for GMDSS battery ON/OFF load test. All Materials, Spares, consumables, paints, etc. which are required for complete the scope of work as mentioned above is under the scope of shipyard.
AFT Schottel control station OEM: M/s Schottel Aft thurster control console Schottel controls defective. RPM could not be given from Aft console. Cabling need to be checked and problem to be rectified. Speed Log [Make: M/s Skipper] Speed log defective. Deck unit to be repaired and PCB to be renewed. Doppler transducer to be checked for handshake. All Materials, Spares, consumables, paints, etc. which are required for complete the scope of work as mentioned above is under the scope of shipyard.
Upgradation of DP System DP2 system will be supplied by NIOT and installation & supervision will be done by OEM. Workshop assistance is required to remove wind sensors -2nos and installing new sensors. Present running hours: DG1: 68099 DG2: 58241 DG3: 61660 DG4: 60596 Only spares will be supplied by NIOT. Cylinder Heads - Dismantle and clean underside, inlet and exhaust valves and ports. Pull out exhaust seat rings, inspect cooling spaces and clean, replace the O rings. Grind/Renew exhaust and inlet valves and seat rings. Inspect the valve rotators. Renew valve guide Orings. Renew cylinder head stud O rings.
Pistons - Pull out pistons, clean and Inspect. Carry out ring groove measurements. Crack detection. Renew piston rings. Renew pistons, if necessary. Inspect mating surfaces between piston crown and skirt and oil space deposits and clean.
Connecting Rod - Replace connecting rod big end bearings, Measure big end bore, Inspect small end bush, renew if necessary. Inspect mating face and surface of serrations. Renew connecting rod screws and nuts.
Cylinder Liners - Pull out all cylinder liners, clean water spaces, measure liner bore and hone the liners. Assemble with new D rings. Renew anti polishing ring.
Fuel Injection Pumps - Remove, Clean and Inspect Fuel Injection Pumps. Renew worn out parts and all seal rings and erosion plugs.
Fuel Injection Nozzles - Test the fuel injection valves on test pump. Adjust opening pressure.
Valve Mechanism - Check Valve mechanism bearings. Check valve tappets and rocker arms. Replace valve tappet roller bearing bush, if necessary
Main Bearings - Inspect the bearing shells of one main bearing. Renew all main bearings, if necessary.
Crankshaft - Check the crankshaft alignment. Check crankshaft axial clearance. Check crankshaft bearing surfaces.
Turbocharger - Overhaul Turbocharger. Renew turbocharger rotor. Renew turbocharger bearings.
Camshaft and Camshaft Bearings - Inspect camshaft contact faces and 1no. camshaft bearings and renew, if necessary
Camshaft driving gear - Inspect camshaft driving gear. Check clearances and backlash. Renew parts, if necessary
Governor driving gear - Inspect governor driving gear and bearings. Renew parts, if necessary.
HT Water Pump and driving gear - Overhaul. Renew shaft seals and bearing. Renew pump shaft if necessary. Renew friction rings and screws of driving gear. Check backlash

Sea water plumbing line in engine room. (sea water line connected from Lab sea water pump). The Remote Oceanographic temperature sensor and AWS sea water temperature sensor are installed to the pipeline running from lab sea water pump to various laboratories in starboard side at engine room. Currently, these sensors cannot be operated as the water supply to this pipeline is stopped due to leakage in the line. • The pipeline should be identified from where the water is leaking, and this leakage should be arrested in proper way. • There was a provision for sea water flow control and a flow meter was available earlier in the lab sea water pipeline lab-2. Currently, these units are bypassed and connected the lines using a flexible hose. A new flow control valve and flow meter to be provided in this location instead of this temporarily connected hose. • If any leakage or damage in valve related to the lab sea water line should be verified and rectified. Millipore outlet line to be properly connected to the ship’s drainage system, Lab-2. • The water outlet of Millipore water purification system is temporarily placed to the sink (wash basin) and this line should be permanently connected to the drainage system in the laboratory. (1inch dia- 10mtr pipe/hose ) • A water controller to be (tap) provided to the inlet line of Millipore water purification system in lab-2, to shut down the inlet water supply to the system during servicing. • The water supply to this freshwater & Sea water lines to this sink is not proper. CTD operating cabinet walls in the sampling room is damaged. The sampling room cabinet is not in proper condition and water is splashing / leaking to the CTD deck unit area. • It is suspected that the water leakage is occurring through the floor tiles. This has to be rectified. (50 sq feet) • There is oil leakage also observed in times from the ceiling area. AWS Mast foundation plate to be renewed. • The base plate where the AWS mast is mounted is rusted and it needs to be refabricated. 0.5mx0.5m • A metallic conduit to be welded from the AWS control unit box to the mast top for securing the cables running for various sensors fitted in this mast. • A thick foundation plate for AWS control box to be provided and the position of the existing box to be changed to a railing baluster to minimize the vibration. Metal rack in the electronic lab to be repaired. The metallic rack fitted in the electronic lab is damaged and water leakage observed in this lab from the pipeline running to the cooler. • The water leakage in this room to be arrested. all inway jobs including panel removal & re-fitting is under the scope • The rack to be repaired / renewed. Lighting in the deck area and on the deck gear machinary. The LED lighting [weather & water proof] on the A-frames, main deck areas, near to the crane are to be checked and renewal is required on damaged ones. Especially in the 10T side A-frame - 20 nos. Lights in the laboratories are to be changed to LED type. Many of the tube lights provided in the labs are not working. These lights are to be renewed with LED types suitable for ship ceiling - 200 nos. The payment will be made at actual. Weatherproof 440V AC outlet to be provided near to the shallow water CTD winch. One 440 V power socket with switch facility to be provided near to the Kleyfrance shallow water CTD winch. Fresh water interception to be renewed with new ones. Telephone exchange The telephone exchange is available onboard to be checked for proper functionality. Pulley overhauling All the pulleys on the Stern A-frame -4nos are to be overhauled serviced and fitted back. All Materials, Spares, consumables, paints, etc. which are required for complete the scope of work as mentioned is under the scope of shipyard.

• The LED monitor 24"to be fitted in front of the CTD / Hydrography winch operating station as a screen repeater of CTD data acquisition computer along with VGA splitter. • Required cabling to be made from CTD operating computer location to the newly installed monitor. All Materials, Spares, consumables, paints, etc. which are required for complete the scope of work as mentioned is under the scope of shipyard.
Computer procurement 06 new computers with 24"display & latest specifications are to be supplied & installed. These are required for the AWS, Microscope, SBP, Auto Analyzer, Chief Scientist, General PC’s All Materials, Spares, consumables, paints, etc. which are required for complete the scope of work as mentioned is under the scope of shipyard.
Photostat machine cum printing station to be provided. • Multifunction xerox, print, scan machine [at least 50ppm & B&W] to be supplied & installed to the lab for scientific usage. • 03 numbers of colour printers are to be supplied for laboratories and Chief scientist cabin. All Materials, Spares, consumables, paints, etc. which are required for complete the scope of work as mentioned is under the scope of shipyard.
Supply of Wall clock / Hygrometers 10 numbers of wall clocks or electronic clocks having facility to have hygrometers are to be supplied and these units are to be fitted in the cabins where the clocks are not available. Required proper fixing arrangements to be provided. All Materials, Spares, consumables, paints, etc. which are required for complete the scope of work as mentioned is under the scope of shipyard.
Supply of refrigerator. A new refrigerator [220ltrs] to be supplied and the same should be properly installed with locking arrangement in the sampling room of lab-2. All Materials, Spares, consumables, paints, etc. which are required for complete the scope of work as mentioned is under the scope of shipyard.
Supply of appliance system to comply MLC - 1 number of SONY LED SMART TV 55 inch unit to be supplied & installed in recreation room and - 1 no 40 inch SONY SMART LED TV to be supplied and fitted in the smoke room. All Materials, Spares, consumables, paints, cables, connectors, fixtures, etc. which are required for complete the scope of work as mentioned is under the scope of shipyard. All inway jobs for the above work to be included within the quoted amount.
Supply of hydraulic trolleys 02 numbers of hydraulic trolleys (around 2T capacity) are to be supplied for handling scientific equipment for operation. All Materials, Spares, consumables, paints, etc. which are required for complete the scope of work as mentioned is under the scope of shipyard.
Supply of chairs in labs. 25 chairs with lashing facility are to be supplied for the usage in the labs. 5 leg suppor revolving type with back rest. All Materials, Spares, consumables, paints, etc. which are required for complete the scope of work as mentioned is under the scope of shipyard.
Renewal of pipe lines in engine room and bridge. Rate should include any removal of old pipeline and fabrication and fitment of new pipes as per requirement. Rubber fender to be fitted on the ship side where the online CTD unit is lowered for operations. Welding of guide bars to ship side and securing the rubber fender rigidly. All materials spares, fenders, plates, etc required to complete this work is under shipyard scope. area 50sq ft
Teflon rollers to be fitted on the transom below 60ton A frame to guide the rope smoothly while deployment of scientific payload. Total length required is 15 mtrs. Low Insulation fault to be rectified in 220v, 415v, 690v and 110v circuits. Insulation meter to be overhauled and calibrated . Indicator lamps to be replaced for proper operations. Water condensation issue on the cold water lines above deep sea winch control panel to be rectified. Lagging on the pipes to be renewed with new one. Supply Items in bridge - 1 no Desktop with latest configuration [1 TB SSD, 16 GB RAM with 24 inch LED screen] to be supplied and installed in bridge. - All in one laser jet Printer cum scanner integrated unit to be supplied and installed in bridge [HP Laserjet Pro MFP series with 2 standard paper trays and 50 PPM]. All Materials, Spares, consumables, paints, cables, connectors, fixtures, etc. which are required for complete the scope of work as mentioned is under the scope of shipyard. All inway jobs for the above work to be included within the quoted amount.
Total Fumigation Scope of the work involves: After completion of dry dock repair fumigation of entire ship accommodation to be carried out. All electronic equipment to be shifted to safe place with proper covering and shifted back to position and fixing after fumigation. Security guards to be provided throughout the period of fumigation. All vents and doors to be sealed to avoid any leakage of gases. All labs wheel house and radio rooms etc to be sealed properly prior to gas release. Warning placards to be placed in where ever necessary safety measures to be taken prior release of gas and head counts of fumigation staff to be taken and reported master. after completion of fumigation all debris including dead rats to be removed and proper cleaning of accommodation to be carried out. All Scientific Equipment in the Labs UPS Room including Computers, Displays are required to be protected using Tarpaulin to prevent damages/ malfunctioning. On completion of Fumigation, arrange for Ship Sanitation Certificate to be issued by Port Health Officer
Transportation during non- operation of galley/mess Shipyard shall provide necessary transport (25 nos of Officers/crews) of acceptable standards for ship’s crew / officers during the period of non-operation of galley and during fumigation from hotel to Shipyard and return. No. of crew: 25
a. Shipyard shall provide local transportation arrangement [dedicated One car-Type SUV] for NIOT representatives during the period of dry-docking and afloat repair.
b. An air-conditioned office space to be provided to NIOT representative with Computer, printer, internet facility, telephone with STD facility in the shipyard premises during the entire period of dry-docking and afloat repair
C. Decent accommodation with wifi facility to be arranged for NIOT representatives for the entire dry docking period.
Transportation to be provided from airport/railway station to shipyard and vice versa for NIOT /MoES/TFEC Officials as when required. Approx. 6 round trips of 4 SUV type vehicle. However payment will be made on Pro-Rate basis for any extra usage.
Liaison with IRS Class & DNV Class & MMD and visits as required shall be arranged by Ship Yard at every stage to complete the Intermediate docking survey and payment to IRS, DNV, MMD to be settled by the shipyard. Scope of the work involves: Liaise with IRS, DNV, MMD Surveyor for opening of docking survey, witness every stage of work, to witness the docking/undocking survey. IRS, DNV, MMD surveyor to be lined up for the sea trial to witness the successful sea trial.Necessary fees for all the surveys by IRS, DNV, MMD to be paid and settled by shipyard.
• Supply & laying of Ethernet CAT-7 cable (armored) – 4 Runs from Wheel house to Lab-1 at main deck (distance is 100m approx.) Industrial metallic jack with shutter – 4 nos at Lab-1 . it should be covered with the metallic enclosure with lock and key arrangement. • Supplying & fixing of Telephone to be provided (parallel connection from Chief Scientist cabin to chief scientist bed room) with the necessary to be laid . Cable length : 25 m. • Necessary Telephone jacks to be provided. Telephone stand to be fixed with necessary mounting arrangement and fixers which should be secured from rolling/ pitching of ships. · • Note: cabling, panel opening & closing, termination, hot work, fabrication, workshop and Carpenter assistance, etc are under the scope of the bidder.
