Pressure sand filter

a) Design, supply installation,and commissioning ( based on site conditions and as directed by the engineer in charge,) of PRESSURE SAND FILTER of dual media – Anthracite and sand packed in mild steel one or more Pressure vessels with FRP lining, Butterfly valves with complete base media and shall be complete with face piping, fittings,valves,filter media, under bed plate fitted with strainer, pressure gauges, cocks, manhole, hand hole, air vent system manufactured with good engineering practice having minimum thickness of 4mm, having manhole with cover for easy inspection at the top of the vessel and an opening provision for media removing arrangement at vessel bottom with dummy arrangement,and painting the vessel internally and externally with two coat epoxy paint over a two coats of primer ;finishing with synthetic enamel paint two coats, capable of discharging water at 14 LPS with a capacity to withstand the operating head of 30 meters with best quality ISI mark Butterfly valves for easy backwashing, rinsing and filtering with all necessary high quality filter media with sufficient filtering capacity capable of removing Turbidity of water two times as per the water quality test report of NTU to the permissible limit as per the BIS drinking water quality standards including all civil, mechanical and plumbing works by connecting to the existing pumping main with suitable size of 110 mm pvc 12.5kg/cm2 and 100 mm GI medium pipes(total=900m) and specials required to deliver water to the existing reservoir using existing pump. All auxiliary fittings including the nuts and bolts shall be made of mild steel. The vessel may be suitably positioned anywhere along the pumping main route in order to make the operation and maintenance easy. The total head loss due to the PSF supplied should not be more than 4 meters. The PSF should be designed with a capacity to withstand 1.5 times of the above given parameters of discharge & head The technical details of the filter unit including the complete dimensions and type of filter media used shall be annexed and include the fow diagram also. b) Operation and maintenance manual with guide lines for troubleshooting shall also be provided after commissioning of the filter (2 nos). c) The floor shall consist of 40mm thick concrete,The finished floor level of the treatment plant should be as per site condition with minimum of 60 cm higher than the natural ground level.The plinth protection shall be 0.15m higher than the Natural level ie the floor level of the water treatment plant will be 0.45m above plinth protection.A 1.0m wide plinth protection sloping to outside withcement concrete/interlocking pavers mix M135 with a thickness of 50 mm shall be provided all round the shed foundation.Suitable /necessary foundation for pumps and filters shall be provided.
