Mattress Specification: 1.Scope : This standard covers the requirements of Rexine bound rubberized coir mattresses for use on standard hospital beds conforming to IS: 5029 -1979. 2.Material : The mattresses shall consist of a rubberised coir sheet of 76+ 5/-1 mm thickness with a sheet of flexible polyurethane foam of 26 + 3/-3 mm thickness glued to its top. The thickness of the complete mattress shall however be subject to the provisions. Here in after the work mattress wherever used in this specification, shall mean the combination of the two sheets as described in 2.1.
