Repair of Cooling Tower in sulphuric acid Plant at FACT-Cochin Division, Ambalamedu

Cleaning the structural/other surface neatly at all heights, manually with suitable tools or with high pressure water jet spray (using suitable mechanical means), and scraping if required, to remove the whole accumulated dust, rust, dirt etc as per departmental instructions.

Taking out and cleaning the existing PVC fills from cooling Tower and placing in position inside the cooling tower including re-arranging the wooden joists for accomodating the PVC fills if required at all heights including all labour charges ,scaffolding charges etc. complete as per departmental instructions.

Reconditioning and forming new grids with dismantled materials/ new maruthu wood including fixing charges of necessary SS nails and placing in position in cooling tower at all heights including cost of all labour, scaffolding charges etc. complete as per departmental instructions (SS nails will be supplied from FACT store)

Supply of 38 mm x12 g stainless steel wire nails to civil store

Supply of 50 mm x12 g stainless steel wire nails to civil store

Supplying good quality Maruthu’ wood wrought and put up for joists, planks & grids of specified size to suit at site as per departmental instructions.

Labour charges for conveying from site store and fixing in position the Maruthu wood wrought and put up joists, planks, runners etc including labour charges for fixing nails if required and providing grooves & cutting at edges etc. as per site conditions, after removing the damaged members, at all heights as per departmental instructions

Supplying good quality “Maruthu’ wood wrought and put up at site and making new grids to suit the existing grid of SAP Cooling Tower (Approx. overall size 1.30x1.25 m, consists of 2 Nos, 1.25 m long member of size 70x30 mm and 8 Nos,1.30 m long horizontal members of size 60x15 mm) including cost of 0.0146 m3 of Maruth wood, transportation charges, labour for making grids, fixing charges for 32 Nos SS nails (2 nos each in joints), conveying to work spot after necessary painting (Painting charges will be paid by separate items) , placing in position at all heights after dismantling and removing the existing damaged wooden grids from all heights ,scaffolding charges etc. complete in all respects as per departmental instructions (SS nails will be supplied from FACT store)

Painting with one coat of zinc chromate yellow primer and two coats in distinct colour of synthetic enamel paint using approved brand & quality at all heights after cleaning the surface including cost of all paint and materials, labour charges, scaffolding charges etc.complete as per deptl instructions

Applying one coat of Epoxy Zinc Phosphate Primer of approved brand & quality after thoroughly cleaning the surface of new/old grids/planks, runners/joists to remove any foreign materials including cost of primer, labour charges and all other incidental charges etc. complete as per departmental instructions at site.

Applying one coat of epoxy high build finish paint to grids using "Epilux - 4 high build " of Berger Paints or equivalent approved brand over the primer already done including cost of paint, cost of brush , labour charges and all other incidental charges etc. complete as per dept. instructions.

Applying one coat of epoxy high build finish paint of approved brand & colour at all levels after cleaning the surface including cost of paint and materials, scaffolding charges (if required), labour charges and all other incidental charges etc. complete as per dept. Instructions.

Applying two coats of self-priming coal tar epoxy paint, “Rust-O-Seal” of Asian Paints / “Protecteros CTE mastic” of Berger Paints or equivalent approved quality coal tar epoxy having volume of solids 70 % (aprox.) at all heights including cost of paint, scaffolding charges, labour charges and all other incidental charges etc.complete as per departmental instructions at site

Collecting spoil earth, debris etc. from site, conveying to places with an average lead of 1 KM by mechanical transport, dumping and forming embankment for filling, spreading in layers as per directions (20%deduction will be made if measured loose in lorries & from stack).
