M & L for replacement of old defective earthing by providing new earthing comprising of galvanised steel earth plate electrode (600mm x 600mm) x 6mm thick buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 m below ground level) with top edge of earth plate not less than 1.50 m below normal ground level, connected to galvanised earth strip of size (32 x 6)mm by means of nuts, bolts, check nuts & washers of galvanised iron or steel all as shown on electrical plate No. 3 of MES schedule 2009, Part–I (Specifications) and connected to main switch board / main DB’s / earthing test point including all necessary excavation and earth work in any type of soil, adequate quantity of charcoal dust & common salt all around the earth plate minimum 150 mm in all directions with & including watering pipe 20 mm dia GI medium grade, GI funnel made out of 0.63 mm thick GI sheet, wire gauge, 50 mm thick RCC cover in cement concrete (1:2:4), type B-1, duly reinforced with 8 mm dia mild steel TMT bars @ 100 mm both ways center to center with suitable lifting handle made of 10 mm dia mild steel round bar to lift the cover, earth pit of PCC (1:3:6) type C-1, GI protection pipe light grade 40 mm bore including testing on completion of job complete all as specified and as directed.

Description all as per srl item No. 1.00 here in before but using 4.00 mm dia GI earthing wire and 15 mm bore GI pipe light grade protection pipe complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for replacement of old defective earthing by providing new earthing comprising of copper earth plate electrode (600mm x 600mm) x 3.15mm thick buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25m below ground level) with top edge of earth plate not less than 1.50 m below normal ground level, connected to copper earth strip of size (20 x 3)mm by means of nut-bolts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron or steel all as shown on electrical plate No. 3 of MES schedule 2009, Part–I (Specifications) and connected to main switch board / main DB’s / earthing test point including all necessary excavation and earth work in any type of soil, adequate quantity of charcoal dust and common salt all around the earth plate in alternate layers minimum 150 mm (compacted thickness) in all directions with and including watering pipe 20 mm dia GI medium grade, GI funnel made out of 0.63 mm thick GI sheet, wire gauge, 50 mm thick RCC cover of size (450mm x 450mm) in cement concrete (1:2:4) type B-1, duly reinforced with 8 mm dia mild steel TMT bars @ 100 mm both ways center to center with suitable lifting handle made of 10mm dia mild steel round bar to lift the cover, earth pit of PCC (1:3:6) type C-1, GI protection pipe light grade 40 mm bore including testing on completion of job complete all as specified and directed. NOTE FOR ITEM NO. 1.00 TO 3.00: - ON TESTING AFTER COMPLETION OF JOB, IF DESIRED EARTH RESISTANCE (i.e. LESS THAN ONE OHM) IS NOT OBTAINED, THE EARTHING SHALL BE REDONE BY THE CONTRACTOR WITHOUT ANY EXTRA COST TO GOVT.

M & L for replacement of old defective earthing by providing new chemical earthing comprising copper earth plate electrode 900 x 600 x 5 mm thick burried directly in ground, earth pit not less than 5.10 metres below normal ground level and complete size of pit shall be 1.60 m x 1.60 m x 5.10 metres, with top edge of the plate not less than 3.75 metres below normal ground level, earth plate surrounded from all sides by 20 cm thick salt and charcoal dust and Magnisium sulphate filling in alternate layers of 20 cm thick up to 1.8 metres height and including connected to copper strip 50 x 6 mm (upto 7.5 Metres) by means of brazing / coppers nut-bolts, earth strip protected with 65 mm bore light grade pipe from electrode and upto and including the earth test point of galvanised iron / steel of size 75 x 75 x 25 mm test point, 15 mm bore watering pipe light grade GI funnel, wire mesh, earth plate surrounded from all sides by 20 cm thick salt (40 Kg), charcoal dust (40 Kg) and Magnisium sulphate (50 Kg) filling in each alternate layers upto 1.80 m height including excavation, removal surplush soil to a distance not exc. 50 m, PCC pit in PCC (1:3:6) type C-1, using 20 mm graded stone aggregate, RCC cover 40 mm thick in RCC (1:2:4) type B-1, using 20 mm graded stone aggregate reinforced with 8 mm dia mild steel deformed bars @ 75 mm centre to centre both ways complete all as specified and directed. NOTE:- Additional Chemical compound if required on account to achieve earth resistance less than 1.00 ohm shall deemed to be included in the unit rate of this item. On testing after completion of job, if desired earth resistance (i.e. less than one ohm) is not obtained, the earthing shall be redone by the contractor without any extra cost to Govt.

Repairing to existing defective earthing by taking out carefully earth plate, watering pipe, protection pipe and re-buried the same after removing sludge from the plate and pipes. The earth plate shall be buried directly in ground with top edge of earth plate not less than 1.50 m below normal ground level, connected to GI earth wire or GI / copper earth strip any size by means of nut-bolts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron or steel all as shown on electrical plate No. 3 of MES schedule 2009, Part–I (Specifications) and other end connected to main switch board / main DB’s / earthing test point including all necessary excavation and earth work in any type of soil, adequate quantity of charcoal dust & common salt in alternate layers all around the earth plate minimum 150 mm in all directions with & including GI funnel made out of 0.63 mm thick GI sheet, wire gauge, 50 mm thick RCC cover in cement concrete 1:2:4, type B-1, duly reinforced with 8 mm dia mild steel TMT bars @ 100 mm both ways center to center with suitable lifting handle made of 10 mm dia mild steel bars to lift the cover, earth pit of PCC 1:3:6 type C-1, as required at site to complete the earthing including testing of earthing on completion of job complete all as specified and directed. NOTE: - ON TESTING AFTER COMPLETION OF JOB, IF DESIRED EARTH RESISTANCE (i.e. LESS THAN ONE OHM) IS NOT OBTAINED, THE EARTHING SHALL BE REDONE BY THE CONTRACTOR WITHOUT ANY EXTRA COST TO GOVT. THE EARTH PLATE, PROTECTION PIPE AND WATERING PIPE OF OLD EARTHING SHALL ONLY BE REUSED IN THE SAME PIT. REST OF THE MATERIALS AS REQUIRED SHALL BE PROVIDED BY THE CONTRACTOR.

Supply and fixing as in replacement test point terminal block made of gun metal or phasphorous bronze size 75 X 75 X 25 mm drilled and screwed including 3 Nos. 8 mm dia 25 mm long hexagonal head screw fixed to wall and connected with earth strip complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for construction of cement concrete earth pit chamber in PCC (1:3:6), type C-1, of size (450 x 450))mm x 50mm thick Pre-cast RCC cover in cement concrete (1:2:4), type B-1, duly reinforced with 8 mm dia mild steel TMT bars @ 100 mm both ways center to center with suitable lifting handle made of 10 mm dia mild steel round bar to lift the cover with and including necessary excavation, earth work in any type of soil and dismantling of old broken earth pit chamber and disposal of spoil to a distance not exceeding 50 m compete all as specified and as directed. NOTE: - THIS ITEM IS AN INDEPENDENT ITEM AND THE SAME IS NOT CONNECTED WITH ANY OTHER ITEMS OF THIS BOQ.

Material and Labour for earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead burried in ground, fixed to wall, any other indicated situation for loop earthing and the like upto test point on necesarry insulators and fastning screws, rawl plugs complete all as specified and directed for the following: - (a) GI earth strip of size 32 mm X 6 mm. NOTE: - The joints of each lead strip shall be welded / brazed and the cost of brazing / welding shall deem to be included in unit rate of this item.

Description all as per srl item No. 8.00 here in before but copper strip of size 20mm x 3mm complete all as specified and as directed.

S & F of 40 mm nominal bore GI tubing, light grade with all fittings including fixing arrangement with screws, clamps on insulator for protection of Aluminium earh strip upto 1.50 metres from ground level including taking out unserviceable one complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for earthing enhancing back fill compound (powder) suitable to increase the earth resistant value complete all as specified and as directed. Make- Ennov, True Power Earthing, Alopp, Gravin.

S & F as in replacement single pointed air termination aluminum rod, 12 mm dia and 300 mm long including 20 mm size air terminal base / ridge saddle made of gun metal with and including fixing arrangment on the ridge of RCC roof / on pole as required complete all as specified and directed.
