Excavation in earth work in hilly area all heights and depths, in all kind of soil including saturated soil comparing of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hard rock. All work of rock cutting but blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage ti hill side, water population, etc. and to protect stability of hill side. Rock shall be excavated with chiselling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohibited). All earth work in cutting /excavation, including rock excavated shall be carried out true to lines grades side slopes width, camber super elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge, in conformity with the requirement of technical specification for Rural Road Clause 1603.1., (one thousand six hundred Three point one) 1603.2 (one thousand six hundred three point two) to achieve designed formation width including hauling and stacking of materials useful for stacking of materials sites and safe disposal of unsuitable cut materials in specified manner, trimming filling if unevenness blind age and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as smooth riding. The recovery for stones, whether usefull or not, for 1789.11 cum @ Rupees 170/- only (Rupees One hundred seventy only) per cubic metre shall be effected on pro rata basis in all circumstances.. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all case and slates including carriage of material with in all leads, lifts and other incidentals complete as per entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in charge The Rates to be quoted by the bidder shall be inclusive of all taxes, royalties, duties and other levies that the contractor will have to pay for the performance of this contract but excluding GST.
