Overhauling of Knuckle Joint entails following Scope of work :-
Disassembly (degutting) of Knuckle joint onboard.
Transportation /shifting of the Knuckle joints from ship to work shop at Karwar.
Carry out leak test of knuckle joints at workshop, as per procedure in MRC (if no leak exists then, regut the Knuckle Joint onboard).
If leakage is observed during pressure testing, serials from 1.04 to 1.14 to be undertaken Disassemble Knuckle joint.
Carry out through cleaning & survey of each internal parts from QC post disassembly.
Carry out reassembly at shop floor and fitment of elastomere ball joint to the pipes, as per MRC.
Undertake tests and trials of knuckle joints as per MRC.
Carry out strength test and Leak test of ball joints s per MRC.
Carry out reassembly of knuckle joints.
Transportation /shifting of the Knuckle joints from work shop to ship.
Installation of Knuckle joint onboard.
Alignment of ball jointed hose flanges to the pipe.
Reassemble Knuckle joints onboard and carry out tests onboard as per MRC.
Undertake final fitment and trials onboard.
