REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE OF BITUMINOUS ROAD, PQC ROAD ANS ASSOCIATED WORK AT AF STN SAMANA UNDER GE (AF) JAMNAGAR No 01

M&L for Preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for applying evenly a tack coat of paving bitumen primer of grade VG-10 at the rate of 05 Kg per 10 Sqm of road surface by sprayer operated on hot pressure mechanism over old black top surfaces complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for Bituminous premix Semi Dense Asphaltic Concrete (SDAC) 30mm thick (consolidated thickness) with crushed and graded coarse aggregates as per design based on Job mix formula with 5.5% bitumen binder content (bitumen of Grade VG-30) by weight of total mix including heating bitumen to the required temperature, mixing bituminous concrete in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant, laying, spreading uniformly by means of Mechanical paver and rolling and consolidating to the required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne power road roller to a uniform smooth surfaces complete all as specified and as directed.

Notes : (i) The actual requirement of binder shall be as per the job mix formula and test specified. However quantity from the mix formula found more than specified 5.5% same will be provided with no extra cost to the Govt. In case binder content found to be less than 5.5% as per mix formula as specified in Schedule 'A' shall be adusted @ the rate of 62.35/KG for the less quanity of bitumen used. The quantity of 5.5 % mentioned is exclusive of any wastage and no wastage shall be taken onto account for the purpose of above adjustment. (ii) Paving bitumen primer of Grade VG-10 for tack coat and bitumen of Grade VG-30 for semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be used and shall be procured by the contractor under his own arrangement and at his own cost. (iii) Cost of all the materials, T&P, labour etc. required for preparation of surfaces, applying tack coat, providing and laying semi dense asphaltic concrete including procurement of bitumen as specified here-in-before, stone aggregates & sand etc, rolling and all other elements required for entire completion of the job shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted for this item

M&L for repairs to pot holes, not exc 1 square metre each, including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, on existing road surfaces, and making good applying evenly a tack coat of paving bitumen primer of grade VG-10 at the rate of 05 Kg per 10 Sqm and providing premixed bituminous macadam with crushed and graded stone aggregate mixed together with 4.5% of paving bitumen of grade VG-30 by weight of total mix, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 Kg per 10 sqm, blinded with 0.09 Cum of stone chippings, 6.3 mm size and again well rammed including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chipping, depth of pot holes exc 30mm, complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5mm thick (retro-reflective with glass bends @ 250 gms per sqm) centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc and the like n. exc 10cm wide on roads pavements of specified shade / colour (confirming to BS 3262-1989) using hot thermoplastic material by fully / semi automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine all as per manufacturers instruction and fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater, driven by experienced operator on road surface including cost of material, labour, T & P, cleaning the road surface of all dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign material etc complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge and accordance with applicable specifications.

S&F in repair road safety convex mirror made up of polycarbonate reflective with hood for road turning, intersection, curves, ‘T’ junction, etc, unbreakable & strong, mounted on and body made of ABS / Fiber / Plastic of size 100 cm dia fixed over & including 80 mm bore MS pipe of 2.1 Metre length duly powder coated, fixed with adjustable clamp, pole fixed in plain cement concrete 1:2:4 Type B1 (using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate) block of size 450x450x450mm deep including necessary, excavation & earthwork and dismantling and taking out old unserviceable convex mirror, complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-charge Make : Tata / 3M / Dark Eye Notes : (i) A mild steel base plate of size 250mm x 250mm x 3mm shall be welded at bottom of pole. (ii) All steel & iron surfaces other than powder coated shall be painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint of approved tint over a coat of red oxide zinc chrome primer.

S&F in replacement Speed breaker sigle modular size of 500mmx375mmx50mm made of sturdy plastice (ABS) high resistance to severe impact and harsh weather conditions with dovetail interlocking type sub units made to bind prefectly into one firm bump having pre-coloured material which does not fade easily and UV stablizers to keep them prepetually colourful studded with acylic reflectors on front & back to help in identifying the location of speed breaker from a large distance and fixed on road surface with & including nails / screws / bolts / polymer / epoxy adhesive etc all as per manufacturer’s instructions including filling up hollow portion of bumps with & including PCC 1:2:4 type B0 (using 12.5mm graded crushed stone aggregate) complete all as specified and as directed including dismantling and taking out old unserviceable / broken speed breaker of any type. Supply and fixing in repair solar cat eye aluminum alloy shall (100% water proofing design according to 65) of size 125mm x 125mm x 25mm (shank 65mm) of high efficiency Mono-rystafie solar panel 2.4V/0.3 watt one NI-ed rechargeable battery (1.2V/1600MA) consisting of super bright LED with 10,000 to 18,000 mcd completed as per manufactures instructions etc, all as specified and as directed. Supply and fixing in repair metal tubular dealineator made out of ABS round body fitted with 2 Nos 65 mm dia highly reflective reflectors made out of PMMA and mounted on 45/50 mm dia mild steel pipe of 600 mm height duly powder coated and thermo plastic elastomer 3 bands of green, red and yellow reflector radium tape of 25 mm wide strips with anti theft steel net for reflector protection including embedding in PCC 1:2:4 (150x150x300mm) type B1 complete all as specified and as directed. Demolition of cement concrete (unreinforced) of any description and in any postion not otherwise specifically provided for complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for 100 mm thick cement concrete 1:3:6, type C-2 (using 40 mm graded stone aggregate) as in road/ path and similar work complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for factory made 60mm thick machine pressed precast cement concrete coloured designer polished (reflecting type) interlocking paver blocks of Grade M-35 conforming to IS 15658-2006 of shape and size as directed with grey cement and pigment with coloured top casted in an automatic plant working on vibration and simultaneous hydraulic compression from top, laid etc including dismantling and taking down/out old unserviceable paver block complete all as specified & as directed. Note: Shape & colour of paver blocks shall be as approved by the GE.

M & L Sand cushoing under interlocking tiles/ paver block including taking out complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Forming construction/dummy/expansion joints 12 mm thick pre-formed biuminous filler and top 3mm primed and sealed with sealing compound Grade 'B' etc all as specified and directed.
