1. Detailed study of geology, geomorphology, lithology and structural elements around landslide zone.
2. Study of change in dimension / expansion of slides (as compared to earlier study /map) and recording of manifestations such as ground cracks / fissures in adjoining areas of the landslide scar - laterally and above the crown.
3. Identification of nature of the landslide i.e. active or dormant.
4. Nature, composition and thickness of the debris material subjected to subsidence. Size of debris forming clasts/ fragments.
5. Identification of source of debris material and causative factors of the slide.

Open pit sieve analysis and shear strength parameter in barrage area As per ToR 3 (F) • 2 or 3 nos. open pit sieve analysis shall be carried out including determination of silt factor to be used evaluate the scour depth at barrage area. • To determine the shear strength parameters, i.e., Cohesion (c) and Angle of Internal Friction (Ø), of the barrage overburden, Direct Shear Tests (Consolidated Undrained – CU) under saturated conditions are to be conducted Indian standard code IS 2720 Part-13. • Additionally, the cohesion (c) value between the overburden material and concrete (M-25) shall also be determined.
