REPAIRS TO JOINT FILLING AND RIGID PAVEMENT WITH ELASTOMERIC, EPOXY FILLING ON RUNWAY, TAXI TRACKS AND TARMAC AT AF STN JODHPUR

Raking out sealing compound from existing expansion joints of dimension 25 mm to 30 mm wide and 25 mm deep, removing the debris from site by sweeping the concrete surface with brooms, cleaning with compressed air, treating sides and bottom of the joints with primer as per manufacturer's directions and filled with preformed closed cell polyethylene backup rod/strip of 25-32 mm dia, sealing with pitch free polyurethane grey sealant (minimum depth of sealant above backup rod shall be 10 mm) conforming to BS-5212 (Type FB) and M&L for applying masking tape on edges of joints to prevent accidental spillage of sealant and removing the masking tape after application of sealant complete all as specified and directed.

Ditto all as per item No 1 above but construction/dummy joints of dimension 20 to 25 mm wide and 25 mm deep and backup rod/strip of 25-30 mm complete all as specified and directed.

Ditto all as per item No 1 above but construction/dummy joints of dimension 10 to 15 mm wide and 25 mm deep and backup rod/strip of 13-18 mm complete all as specified and directed. Note for Srl item No 1 to 3 :- Incase of any variation in width or depth of joint, the same is deemed to be included in quoted rates by the contractor as in Sch 'A'/BOQ items as above. The contractor shall not be entitled for any extra claim on this account.

Material and Labour Chipping and/or neatly Cutting of existing loose concrete at cracks on Runway/Taxi track/ pavement by using diamand cutter. Cutting of cracked portion shall not be less than 100 mm wide and 45 mm deep. Cleaning the dirt and all loose material fanned with air blower and air blasting the cleaned surface applying proprietory primer on surfaces to obtained tack and finally filling in Elastomeric Concrete, (Mix shall be prepared as per manufacturer) to obtained a true surfce and finally tooling the set surface with hand tools complete all as specified and directed. Note :- The rate shall be include for providing masking tape at joints and formwork required if any at spalled joints edges. (ii) The quoted rate deemed to be included for making good to disturbed joint filling around the area where material is applied. (iii) All material shall only be procured directly from manufacturer and original purchase voucher shall be produced to Engineer-in-charge for verification of authenticity from the manufacturer prior to commencement of the work.

Material and Labour Cutting existing loose patches / spalled edges of concrete pavement in square / rectangular/ triangular shape to a depth not less than 25mm removing debris out side MD land sweeping the patches with broom, cleaning with compressed air and applying epoxy resin mortar (proportion as specifed) incl necessary form work for sides of joints, sprinkle , a thin layer of dust free fine sand (QUARTS SAND 10 No) and applying a coat on top of surface with epoxy resin primer @ 0.45 Kg/Sqm and finally filling the joints with sealing compound complete all as spd and as directed by Engr-in-Charge (Sealing of joint shall be measured under respective item seperately).

Material & labour for repairs to cracks of width less than 4 mm in flexible surfaces by cleaning of the cracks with coir brushes and make it free from dust and apply cold Plymeric Modified Emulsion (PME) as primer coat ( 0.5 Ltr per Running meter) and first 50% of the crack/ cavity filled with cold polymeric modified emulsion (PME) ( 1.5 Ltr per running meter) and followed with mineral fillers ( fibrous cum quartz powder) mixed with cement in 1:1 ratio in two coats to ensure complete filling/total filling of the gap through grouting pump in line with existing pavement finally dry coarse sand mixed with cement in 1:1 ratio sprinkled on top complete all as sper manufacture's instructions complete all as specified and directed. Note:- The tenderer shall take into consideration the following points while quoting his rate for the above item:- (i) No price adjustment shall be applicable if excess quantity of cold modified emusion (PME) than the mentioned above is used depending upon condition of the surface to be treated.

Material and Labour for refixing of stopbar lights (dia 200 mm to 250 mm and depth 150mm to 300 mm) in PQC(depth up to 350mm) by forming / cutting core using diamond core cutter of dia 200 mm to 250 mm and up to full depth of PQC, refilling of the remaining gap with elastometic concrete ( mix shall be prepared as per manufautrer's instructions) after cleaning the dirt, all loose material fanned with air blower and applying primer on the surface, forming joint of width 25 to 30mm and depth up to 100mm of length up to 23.5 meter for laying PVC pipe for passing cables for power supply to stopbar lights and joint of width 10mm and depth up to 50 for laying cable from conduit to stopbar light using diamand cutter and filled the gap with polyurethene sealant (Minimum depth of sealent 20 mm ) after fixing 30 mm dia polythene backup rod for 25 to 30 mm wide joint and 12mm dia polythene backup rod for 10mm wide joint priming the sides and applying masking tap on edge to prevent accidental spillage of sealent on top surfaces and to give neat finish to the sealent in position as required complete all as per manufacturer's instruction as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note :- (i) The stopbar lights will be supplied by the department and cost of same not included in the item. (ii) The quoted rate deemed to be included for making good to edges of PQC around stopbar lights.(iii) The quoted rate shall included cost of forming / cutting core using diamond core cutter ,refilling of the remaining gap with elastometic concrete, forming/cutting required joints for laying supply cable to the stopbar lights using diamond cutter,polyurethene sealant, primer, polythene backup rod, masking tap, etc. (iv) The cost of PVC pipe and power cables will be measured and paid separately.

Supply & fixing for laying of Secondary cable used in runway lighting system of 5KV,6.6A ,4Sqmm single core multistranded copper cable in pvc conduit of size 25mm.cable should have impedence of 50M ohm.Cable has to lay in trench of 25mm width trench in PQC in PVC conduit as directed by Engr in Charge.

Supply & fixing secondary cable connector male and female combined used in Air Field Lighting system suitable for cable size 4 sqmm single core 5KV,6.6 A as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Supply & fixing PVC pipe of size 25mm for laying of primary and secondary cable used in Air Field Lighting System as directed. Note for item No 08, 09 & 10 :- Old retrived cable to be deposited to department. Other allied items will also be retrived and deposited to department.
