D-Transportation (UBR) (Quantities estimated for 04 trips of 30T each Above/
Excavation of trenches of following depth and width 0.3 Meter detailed below including clearing of roots and trees etc. for all types of soil. This work also includes covering of cables laid in trench and backfilling, ramming, consolidation of soil as well as disposal of extra soil 1 after cable is laid as specified in Guidelines on Signalling Cable laying given by RDSO and any latest circular issued by CSTE/ECoR/BBS. Note: Before refilling of the trenches, the cable laid are to be tested and recorded for its insulation value and after satisfaction of site Engineer the refilling process should start and after monsoon the route is to be attended for backfilling the rain cuts, wash out of soils where ever found. 1.0 Meter.
Excavation of trenches including clearing of roots of trees etc., in rocky area up to a depth to be indicated by Railway Engineer at site as per the site condition [Minimum 0.6 meter] and width 0.3 Mts. at the bottom. This includes concreting & plastering as per the instructions of site Engineer and complete back filling by digging earth from a lead of 30 Mtr. In case 0.8-meter depth or higher is achieved no concreting is required, otherwise concreting up to 100 mm thickness should be done. All materials required for the above works shall be supplied by the Contractor.
Excavation of trenches in all kinds of soils including soft rocky area and clearing of track etc. to a depth of 1.0 M and width of 0.3 M for track crossing /pucca road/level crossing gate/platform/station circulating area or any other place as advised by site Engineer including 3 transportation and laying of DWC/RCC/Split RCC/G.I. pipes with or without coupler. This includes repairing of track/pucca road/level crossing gate/ platform/station circulating area surface to original position by ramming and concreting wherever required soon after the work is over. DWC/RCC/GI pipes shall be supplied by the Railway. DWC pipes wherever required shall be supplied in 6 Mtr. length and shall be cut to size as per requirement. All other materials including cement are to be supplied by the contractor.
Trenching and fixing of G.I. pipes of different sizes/DWC pipes in hard rocky area up to a depth of 0.3 M to 0.6 M or at places as per instruction of site Engineer and concreting [1: 3: 6] up to height of 100 mm above the pipes. G.I. pipes with the socket/ DWC pipes shall be supplied by the Railway. All other materials required for the works shall be supplied by the contractor. Note: [1] 4 In case of girder bridges, G.I. pipes shall be suitably clamped by the contractor as advised by the site Engineer. Clamps shall be supplied by the contractor. [2] The work including excavation of trenches in hard rock area up to a depth of 0.3 M to 0.6 M and back filling, ramming after completion of work where ever required. [3] In case of concrete bridges clearing of ballast for laying of pipes and re arranging the Railway ballast after completion of work shall be done by the contractor.
Cable Duct behind the Relay room and Goomties of size 1.8 M x1.8 M x 1.2 M to keep cables entering into it consisting of brick work of 254 mm thickness of proportion 1:6 with sand 5 filling after coiling of cables. The top of sand filling covered with concreting of size 1.30 M x1.30 M and a depth of 200 mm of proportion 1:1.5:3 outside of the duct should be plastered with cement mortar 1:6 to achieve smooth finishing. All materials including cement and chips of size 40mm. and second-class bricks etc. to be supplied by the contractor.
Cutting of masonary floor/walls at station building/ signal goomty/ Gate lodge at a depth of 0.5 mtr to 1.0 mtr at places to be indicated by site Engineer for entering of cables inside 6 the building. Only G.I pipes supplied by Railway and all materials as clamps, bolts & nuts as instructed by site Engineer supplied by tenderer. This includes repairing of masonary floors/walls after the cables are taken inside. Cement, Sand required for the work shall be supplied by the tenderer and also transportation of G.I Pipe from Store by the tenderer.
Laying of Signalling/4 Quad/ 6 Quad/ Power Cable/Telecom cables/ Jelly filled cables of all sizes in excavated trench, through GI/RCC/DWC pipes etc. wherever required. This includes transportation of cables from the stores to work site and transportation of empty cable drums with 7 left over cables from site to the stores. The length of cable laid includes the length of cable coil for termination purpose. NOTE: The cables are to be carefully handled during loading, un-loading and transportation to work site. Any damage found in the cable after final testing, in view of mishandling of cables, shall be made good by the Tenderer. Cable should be meggered before and after laying and recorded in a register and submitted to the site Engineer.
Alterations of wiring in existing Relay rack/ CT rack/composite relay rack. This 8 includes supply of all types of wires, eyelets, nuts & bolts, bunching material, ferrules, ARA terminals, fuses & fuse blocks by the contractor at own cost. Lettering & painting to be done by the contractor at his own cost. Wire (RDSO Approved Sources) to be inspected by the representative of Railway before use.
Supply, transportation, erection, and grouting of Composite Relay Racks / Relay Racks / CT racks as per Drg.No. SK/DRG/OL/SER/192, SH-1/2 (for Composite Relay Racks), Drg.No. SK/DRG/OL/SER/192, SH-2/2 (for Relay Racks) and Drg.No. S&T/CON/HQ/VSKP/95/92 (for CT Racks) respectively, including fixing of racks, PBT terminals 1-Way/6-Way, ND Fuses, Bus Bars, Eyelets, 9 Hylum strips of required thickness [12 mm] as per length required at site, condensers and resistances etc., wherever required as per directions of Site Engineer. Inspection of Composite Racks / Relay racks/CT racks by Representative of Railway before use. Tenderer shall supply all the materials from RDSO approved sources such as PBT terminals 1-Way/6-Way, ND Fuses, Fuse blocks, Bus Bars, Eyelets, Hylum strips (12 mm thickness ISI Mark) condensers and resistances etc., and any other materials required for the work at his own cost.
Wiring and testing of complete Relay Rack / CT Rack / Composite Relay Rack as per wiring diagram for maximum number of plugs in type relay & shelf type relays of different sizes or as directed by Railway Engineers at site. This includes rack to rack wiring through MS ladder fixed on the top of the relay rack, crimping eyelets in the terminals fitted in the cable's termination rack, numbering by ferrules 2.5 sq. mm, bunching of wires by bunching Tape/Thread and buttons, painting and lettering as required. Wiring of the racks shall be done with PVC wire of size 16/0.2 mm and 10 3/0.75 mm. Tenderer shall supply all wires & wiring materials purchased from RDSO approved sources. Note: 1) Only relay and relay bases will be supplied by the Railway. Contractor has to supply all other materials for the above work and make arrangement for transportation of materials supplied by Railway at his own cost. 2) Only brass screws shall be used for fixing of relay bases. 3) All types of wires and wiring materials, eyelets of sizes (make: Dowell's or similar), ferrules (2.5 sq.mm), resin core solder, insulating tape, bunching belt & buttons etc. are to be supplied by the contractor. Wires will be procured from RDSO approved sources only. And all other components will be supplied by the contractor as per requirement at site. Running
Supply, transportation and fixing of MS ladder with suitable clamping arrangement & 11 associated masonary and smithy work in Relay room, equipment room, Battery room, Goomties and cabins etc. The MS ladder should be made of 1" X 1" (1/8"/3 mm thickness) and MS flat size of 1" wide X 1/8" / 3 mm thickness. MS flat shall be provided at every 8"apart. Width of ladder shall be 8". Tenderer shall supply all materials for this work. Inspection By representative of Railway before use. [RM=Running Meter]

Supply, Transportation and Installation of earth electrode (make TATA or Jindal as per Rly. practice) including MS flat for signalling equipment on lever frame, apparatus cases, signal, relay racks, cable termination rack, block instrument etc. (supply & installation of earth electrode as per drawing no. RE/S&T/DRG/Tender/SK/398/94 for apparatus cases, signal post & other equipment 14 as per instruction on earthing of S&T equipment. Laying of earth lead mild steel flat of size 35mmx6mm and fixing of lead MS flat (make TATA/Jindal or Similar) to earth electrode and lever frame, signal post & apparatus cases as per Drg. No. CORE/S&T/ALD/SK/591/ 2008, 592/2008 and 593/2008 respectively and instructions on earthing at S&T equipment and providing cement enclosure for earth electrode as per drawing no. Digging a trench to a minimum depth of 0.5 meter and laying 50x6 mm bare Galvanized steel tape (Interconnecting tape) connecting all the earth pits. Routing and laying 50x6 mm Galvanized steel tape connecting all the earth pits. Carrying out exothermic weld connections 1 on all the earth electrodes to Galvanized steel tape of size 50x6mm for interconnecting the earth pits. It shall be ensured that the distance between any two earth electrodes shall be minimum 3 meter (length of the earth electrode) and max up to 6 meters (twice the length of the earth electrode) to avoid mutual resistance effects. This interconnecting tape shall also be covered with approximately 30 Kg of earth enhancing compound for each 3 meters length. Earth enhancement compound 10Kg along each meter also to be spread along the Galvanized steel tape.
Routing and termination of 25x2 mm Copper tape/8 mm solid copper round 2 conductor which is to be fixed inside the equipment room with 60mm, 6KVA insulation studs including supply of insulation studs. The separation of the two successive insulation studs should be 600mm apart.
Routing and connecting all the equipment in the equipment/relay room to SEEB/BRC 3 with 10 sq. mm copper cable using copper lugs with stainless steel nut and bolts and fixtures. The work includes laying and routing the copper cable in PVC /conduits and fixing them on wall. This includes supply of copper lugs, stainless steel nut and bolts, PVC conduits and fixtures.
Routing and connecting of all the SPDs in the equipment room/SEEB/BRC to MEEB with 16 sq. mm copper cable using copper lugs with stainless steel nut and bolts. This includes supply of copper lugs, stainless steel nut and bolts.
Digging a trench to a depth of at least 0.5 meter and run the two 35 sq. mm earth conductor (procured against supply item) from Earth pit to MEEB. Routing and exothermic 5 termination of four 35 sq. mm earth conductors in trench from earth pit to 300 x 25 x 6mm MEEB, which is to be fixed inside the equipment room with two 60mm insulation studs. This includes termination of earth conductors at MEEB using copper lugs with stainless steel nut and bolts. This includes supply of insulation studs, copper lugs, stainless steel nut and bolts.
Installation of Single Maintenance Free Earth pit asper RDSO Drawing No. SDO/RDSO/E&B/001 which includes the following: - a) Digging/ Auguring/Boring of single earth pit of 100mm to 125mm dia. to the depth of approx. 3meter. b) Insertion of 3.0-meter electrode and penetrating it minimum 150 mm by pushing gently with sledge hammer where the natural soil is assumed. (c) Filling of earth pit with Earth Enhancement Compound (EEC) in slurry form and backfilling. (d) Carrying out exothermic weld connection on single earth electrode to a copper tape 6 of 200 x 25 x 6 mm. (e) Carrying out exothermic weld connection on the copper tape of 200 x 25 x 6 mm on Earth Electrode for connecting four 35 Sq. mm cables for redundancy. (f) The exothermic welding material for bonding the earth system shall be procured from RDSO approved firms, which includes graphite modules, clamps, weld metal powders. (g) The dimension of the chamber will be of 300 x 300 x 300 mm (inside dimension) of RCC with 50mm thick and fine finish, Inspection chamber should be as per IEC 62561-5 or latest. The top RCC cover size shall be 400mmX400mmX50mm. The date of testing and earth resistance value shall be written on the cover with black base with yellow paint.
Provision of Cement concrete enclosure for Earth electrode as per approved drawing RDSO Drawing No. SDO/RDSO/E&B/001. All the sundry materials to be supplied by the contractor. Location

The hard copies of the documents will be supplied by Railways. The Contractor has to draw 6 the drawings in Auto Cad very carefully and submit one copy of check print along with the soft copy in CD. The drawings shall be checked and returned by Railways indicating corrections if any. The corrections have to be made and final copy submitted in A3/ A2/ U size as required by Railways along with the final soft copy in CD. The hard copy given by Railways have to be returned back without any damage. The size of sheet given in the unit column is for the hard copy given by Railways.
