MANPOWER (WAGES TOWARDS WORKERS) Engagement of different manpower within the Water Treatment Plant for one year. i) Operator 7 nos. ii) Helper 8 nos. Total = 15 nos. per day x 365 days = 5475 Man days
One no. Plant Engineer as overall in charge having qualification in Degree in civil Engineering with 1 year exeperience with water supply and water Treatment Plant / Diploma in civil Engineering with experience with WTP and water supply work. (1 No x 12 months)=12 Months
2 nos (Two) Jr. Engineer cum Plant Supervisor having qualification in Diploma in Mechanical / Eletrical Engineering with 8 years exeperience with electromechanical and electrical works. (2 No x 12 months)= 24 Months
Hire charges for Mechanic / Electrician for WTP i) Mechanic 2 nos. ii) Electrician 2 nos. Total = 4 nos. per day.Considering 3 times per week=52x3x4= 624 nos for one year. (Payment will be made on actual basis of manpower engaged.)
Engagement of chemist-1 no. (Qualification M.Sc / B.Sc with experience) for analysis of water sample of Mangal Pandey Water TreatmentPlantand different zonal sites at the laboratory at Mangal Pandey Water Treatment Plant. Including wages @ Rs. 20,500 /- month and bonus @ Rs. 6800.00 /- per year.
Engagement of scavenger for different operational units of Mangal Pandey Water Treatment Plant as per required scope of work. Scavenger Staff-7 nos. per day x 365 days = 2555 man days
MAINTENANCE OF UNITS FOR PRODUCTION OF POTABLE WATER AS PER IS 10500 (2012) - ELECTRO-MECHANICAL PART Planning, organising, execution & monitoring of day to day operation and maintenance of WTP consisting of intake structure, stilling chamber, pershall flume, flash mixture, clarifloculator (2 nos.), filter bed (10 nos.), clear water reservoir, sludge storage tank etc. for production, storage and distribution of potable water as per IS : 10500 (2012) (latest amendment, if any) including suitable replacement of spares & parts, structural members etc. of above units including maintenance of all allied and related units, electrical & mechanical installations, structure by engaging necessary engineers, technical staff, operators, helpers etc. for running the plant efficiently (in three shifts for total working hour 23 as per 'scope of work' and Annexure-I enclosed) complete as per direction and satisfaction of E.I.C. Maintenance of Clariflocculator including telescopic sludge discharge valve , traction wheels, current collector box, rubber scraper,angle section of bridge assembly, checkered plates, flocculator paddles.

Repair and maintenance of Electro-Mechanical units like Pump, Motor etc. for Clarifloculator, sludge pump, including rewinding of motor, changing of bearing etc. as per scope of work.

Planning, organising, execution & monitoring of day to day operation and maintenance of ferric alum and polyelectrolyte dosing system including repair and replacement of different parts of these systems including repair and maintenance of electrical and mechanical units like dosing pump, alum crusher, metering pump, weighing machine, alum mixing tank, different valves, including supplying, loading, carriage, unloading and proper stacking at store, ferric alum as per IS 299 (latest revision) (manufactured by Bengal Chemical & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.) & polyelectrolyte (NALCO - 8185) as per direction of E.I.C. Maintenance of Alum Dosing system including repairing and changing of different worm wheel, pinion, of A-237 gearbox, changing of SS plunger (if required) greasing, oiling etc. as per scope of work.
Maintenance of Polyelectrolyte dosing system including maintenance of Polyelectrolyte dosing pumps, changing of plungers, greasing oiling etc. as per scope of work.

Planning, organising, execution & monitoring of day to day operation and maintenance of air compressor, air blower, air drier and related pipe lines including repairing of electrical and mechanical parts of these units for periodical back washing of filter beds as per direction of E.I.C. Maintenance of air compressor as per scope or work.

MAINTENANCE OF UNITS FOR PRODUCTION OF POTABLE WATER AS PER IS 10500 (2012) - CIVIL PART Maintenance of Intake structure including cleaning of suction area, removal of water hyacinth, animal dead body etc. from the netting cage.
Maintenance of Clariflocculator involving petty civil repairs as per PWD Schedule 2017 , Cleaning of silt, including dechoking of sludge lines,Pipeline works, making outlet weirs free from biological growth using bleaching powder
Clearing of Filter bed pipe gallery after back wash from time to time
Roofing of the CWR should be checked periodically for leakages, cleaning of sump etc
Day to day maintenance of general cleanness and housekeeping of different units within Water Treatment Plant Campus including laboratory, administrative building, staff quarter, guard rooms, store rooms, toilets, drainage system, internal pathway, roads inside the campus by engaging sweepers and providing necessary tools & plants, belching powder, toilet soaps etc. and maintaining, cleaning of sculpure as per direction E.I.C. Supply of tools and plants, brooms, belching powder, phenyl etc.
Periodical clening of all over head water tanks (3 nos), changes of lid for water tank if required, clening of roof, choked pipe line etc. as per scope of work. (one time per month for each tank ) = 12 X 3 = 36 times.
Supplying Chemicals & Reagents as per given list of chemicals required for analysis of surface water sample (Raw & Clear water) including testing (as per scope of work) of water sample at the Water Testing Laboratory at mangal pandey Water Treatment Plant P.H.E. Dte.
Day to day operation and maintenance of different components of entire sludge disposal pond by engaging operators, helpers with supply of all consumable material sunndry. Lubricants including minor repairing and overhuaulng of valves, pumps, electrical panel, motor etc. as per direction of EIC. & as mentioned in scope of work. Maintenance of Arboriculture and general cleaniness and around the sludge pond as per scope of work
Supply of different sundries materials as per scope of work
Additional amount due to enhancement of labour wages time to time during the period of operation & maintence (payment will be made subject to issuance of govt order time to time in this regard)
Any other item not covered in this schedule / scope of work but need to executed whose rate and spcification is available in current PWD (Building, Sanitary & Plumbing, Roads) and PHED Departmental schedule shhould be executed by the contractor and payment of those items will be made on the basis of schedule of Rates as noted above on actual basis of work done. (schedule is available in the website of respective departments of Govt. of West Bengal)
