Justification: Muzaffarpur Depot is large size depot with annual throughput around 600 TKL/ annum operating in 2 shift operations. There is daily avg. loading of around 180+ Tank trucks. Also each day around 6 Ethanol TTs, each being up to 35-40 KL are unloaded for the purpose of ethanol blending. This daily movement of Tank trucks have caused wear and tear of the road in the license. There are undulations and wide potholes at various places. These undulations are increased due to the daily friction between them and the TT tyres. The bitumen and the RCC have become compressed giving a bad shape to the area. The tiny debris generated by the abrasive action between the road surface and the wheel also results in a lot of dust in the license area. Considering the above factors, it has been decided for paver laying the license area.
