A. Phase one: Initial Cleaning at present situation Mechanical cleaning of waterway/canal, from the entire existing width of navigation trail, stretch between Kodimatha and Pallom using the Aquatic Weed Harvester with minimum storage capacity of 4.5 tonnes, Weed Cutter/Shredder with minimum power 225hp and Transport Barge or any equivalent mechanical equipment with necessary accessories, removing all debris, water plants, floating hyacinth and all other rubbish including plastic/non-plastic waste etc. from the canal, disposing vegetation on the canal banks etc., as directed by the Engineer-in charge to provide a neat and tidy appearance for the canal and to ensure free flow in the canal, including machine cost, operator / labour cost, POL, boarding, lodging, insurance and equipment maintenance / repair, all taxes and duties .

B. Annual Maintenance Control Program – Per Year After the Initial cleaning of the navigation trail, a systematic clearing operation will be carried out using the same equipment’s at regular intervals to ensure that recurring growth of the weeds, especially water hyacinth, which has an inherent tendency of sprouting and proliferating or invading to new regions by tidal waves or feeder canals, paddy fields, and other infested areas, does not occur which is necessary for the smooth and uninterrupted operation of the waterways. To maintain and provide a neat and tidy appearance and to ensure free water flow in the canal for a period of 12 month , including machine cost, operator / labour cost, POL, boarding, lodging, insurance and equipment maintenance / repair, all taxes and duties .
