REPAIR TO RIGID / FLEXIBLE PAVEMENTS INCL CRACK REPAIRS AND CONNECTED ITEMS FOR RUNWAY, PTT, LINKS AND DISPERSAL AREAS AT AIR FORCE STATION JODHPUR

M&L for raking out sealing compound from existing expansion/constr/dummy joints of dimension 25 mm to 30 mm wide and 45 mm deep, removing the debris from site by sweeping the concrete surface with brooms, cleaning with compressed air, treating sides and bottom of the joints with primer as per manufacturer's directions and filled with preformed closed cell polyethylene backup rod/strip of 25-32 mm dia, sealing with pitch free polyurethane grey sealant (minimum depth of sealant above backup rod shall be 10 mm) conforming to BS-5212 (Type FB) and applying masking tape on edges of joints to prevent accidental spillage of sealant and removing the masking tape after application of sealant complete all as specified and directed.

Ditto all as per item No 1 above but construction/dummy joints of dimension 16 to 24 mm wide and 40 mm deep and backup rod/strip of 16-25 mm complete all as specified and directed.

Ditto all as per item No 1 above but construction/dummy joints of dimension 10 to 15 mm wide and 30 mm deep and backup rod/strip of 12-18 mm complete all as specified and directed. Note for Srl item No 1 to 3 :- Incase of any variation in width or depth of joint, the same is deemed to be included in quoted rates by the contractor as in Sch 'A'/BOQ items as above. The contractor shall not be entitled for any extra claim on this account.

M&L for clearing/cutting bushes, scrubs, grass, vegitation from side/berms/shoulders of Runway/PTT/Taxi/Dispersal and adjoining area by manual / mechanical means (by using jungle jim or petrol grass cutter machine in adequate numbers) as per site requirment including transport for removing all the debries out side MoD land complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for cutting out flexible surface from existing joints of dimension 12mm wide and 25 mm deep, removing the debris from site by sweeping wire brushing, cleaning, and applying a coat of bitumen primer to the sides and bottom of the joints and sealing with bitumen based sealant including backup rod conforming to IS 1834-1984, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and Labour Chipping and/or neatly Cutting of existing loose concrete at cracks on Runway/Taxi track/ pavement by using diamond cutter. Cutting of cracked portion shall not be less than 100 mm wide and 45 mm deep. Cleaning the dirt and all loose material fanned with air blower and air blasting the cleaned surface applying proprietary primer on surfaces to obtained tack and finally filling in Elastomeric Concrete, (Mix shall be prepared as per manufacturer) to obtained a true surface and finally tooling the set surface with hand tools complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) The rate shall be include for providing masking tape at joints and formwork required if any at spalled joints edges. (ii) The quoted rate deemed to be included for making good to disturbed joint filling around the area where material is applied. (iii) All material shall only be procured directly from manufacturer.

M&L for repair to potholes on runway operating surface up to 100mm deep including cutting of existing flexible concrete surface in vertical to making the potholes in square/rectangle shape & size. Remove debris outside MD land and cleaning the dust with air blower, the cleaned and dry surface making good by applying cold emulsion and filled with instant road repairing bitumenous premix in hot condition including well rolled and compacted with 8 to 12 tonne power roller to required camber and gradient including necessary arrangement for working in night conditions and all required T&Ps complete all as specified and directed.

S & F in repairs 5mm thick PVC acrylic sheet (double layer) in square or rectangle outer sheet shall be transparent inner sheet shall be cover with coloured film except the inscriptions area as per site requirement for illumination, fixed in illuminated sign board with necessary fixing arrangement, size of each board exceeding 2.00 Sqm but not exceeding 3.00 Sqm, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and Labour Cutting existing loose patches / spalled edges of concrete pavement in square / rectangular/ triangular shape to a depth not less than 25mm removing debris out side MD land sweeping the patches with broom, cleaning with compressed air and applying epoxy resin mortar (proportion as specified) incl necessary form work for sides of joints, sprinkle , a thin layer of dust free fine sand (QUARTS SAND 10 No) and applying a coat on top of surface with epoxy resin primer @ 0.45 Kg/Sqm and finally filling the joints with sealing compound complete all as spd and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note for all items:- The work will be carried out as per user requirement from 1830 hrs to 0600 Hrs. The deployment of labour and T&P arrangement on the Runway shall be intimated to the contractor lby 0800 Hrs each day in the moring. The contractor has to provide necessary arrangement such as lights etc and quote the rate accordingly for considering late working hours at night. Nothing extra will be paid on this account. In any emergency condition the all T&P and material should EXIT/REMOVE from the runway in less than 4 mins without leaving any FOD.
