Detailed surveying of the cable route along the alignment fixed by the Board, including excavation of trial pits in all classes of soil 1.2 x 1.00 x 1.50m size(5 Nos/ Km) as per site requirements for identification of existing cables/pipes of other utilities in the proposed cable route at 200 m intervals and junctions for avoiding damages to the existing cablse/pipes and preparation of profile drawing for cable laying and preparation of final cable route in 6 sets of hard and a soft copy in a scale of 1cm:10m indicating the position of Cable joints, position of cable route marker, landmarks, etc. after completing the work and energizing the cable, for the use as a permanent record.
Close timbering in trenches including strutting, shoring and packing cavities (wherever required) complete. (Measurements to be taken of the face area timbered)
Providing barricade using bamboo posts (@ 40cm c/c) and reapers (3 Nos) and other suitable materials to a height of not less than 1m including cost and conveyance of all materials labour etc. complete.
Bailing out of water using 5HP engine and pump set including conveyance to the site and erection, cost of fuel, lubricating oil & other stores, pay to staff etc.

Laying single run of 8PN, 100PE,160mm dia HDPE pipe of approved quality with coupling, collars etc in the existing cable trench already made for crossing road, culvert etc,excluding the cost of HDPE pipe and specials such as coupling collars and sundries complete at the locations specified by the dept. officers.
Laying 63mm dia GI pipe-B class with couplings, collars, clamps etc along the culvert / bridge/drain trench already made for looping 24 fibre OFC cable through pipe for crossing roads as per drawing and specifications including paving of cable etc. complete, excluding the cost of GI pipe and specials such as coupling collars and sundries complete at the locations specified by the dept. officers.
Laying single run of 200 mm dia GI pipe -B class, with coupling, collars, clamps etc along the culvert / bridge/drain trench already made for looping 1 circuit 33kV single core XLPE cable through pipe for crossing roads, for taking raisers to termination as per drawing and specifications including paving of cable etc. Complete, excluding the cost of GI pipe and specials such as coupling collars and sundries complete at the locations specified by the dept. officers.
Laying 40mm dia (8Kgf/cm2) HDPE PLB pipe duct with coupling collars for drawing optic fiber pilot wire through the pipes as per drawing (excluding the cost of HDPE PLB pipe and accessories ) and as per direction of departmental officers, in the existing trench/ hole already made for laying fibre optic cable through the entire length of 33kV UG Cable Route and also for covering distance form control rooms to 33kV Feeder bays in the Switch yards complete at the locations specified by the dept. officers.
Filling the trench with sieved earth using excavated earth after removing bigger impurities / sharp edged particles to a height of 30cm from bottom of trench, forming cushion and cover around the cable including consolidating, as per the direction of departmental officers at site
Uncoiling and laying single run of 3X300mm², 33kV XLPE Aluminium UG Cable in trench as per the drawing, looping of cable through the various pipes of already laid including all charges for handling, uncoiling and paving of cable in trenches using standard cable handling equipments after providing all necessary precautions to be followed as per IS specifications carefully without damaging the existing pipe lines, cables, water lines etc. and rectifying the damages if any occurred to the existing installations. (excluding the cost of 3X300mm², 33kV XLPE Aluminium UG Cable )
Uncoiling, laying, testing and commissioning of optical fibre cable (24 fibre) from cable drums and laying through the 40mm PLB HDPE PIPE 8kgf/cm2 carefully and neatly including loops, terminations, supply of suitable terminal boxes,loop chambers, connectors etc. complete on standard specifications and directions of dept. officers at site. (excluding the cost of optical fibre cable )
Supplying and laying in position PVC warning tape 200microne, 400mm wide, marked " DANGER -- 33KV POWER CABLE-- NALLALAM - FEROKE -- KSEBL" of letter size 200mm x 5 mm over the slab in the cable trench at a depth of 30 cm below the ground level through out the entire length of cable trench as per the direction of departmental officers.
Supplying and filling sand, including watering, ramming, consolidating and dressing complete. For filling in the cable trench to a height of 60cm forming cushion and cover around the cable at the joints.

Finishing with Epoxy paint (two coats) at all locations prepared and applied as per manufacturer’s specifications including appropriate priming coat, preparation of surface, cost of all materials etc. Complete.
Erection of one set 33KV AB Switch / Bus Isolator on the already erected structure including opening crates and conveyance of all accessories from the place of storage to the place of erection to lines and levels including erection of mechanism box checking operation and aligning properly as per the direction of departmental officers.
Erection of 1 No. 33KV LA / Post insulator on the already erected structure after opening of crates at the place of storage leading to site carefully, keeping lines and levels as per the direction of dept. officers.
Providing interconnection between cable ends (both side) / cable to OH line / using ACSR Conductor of sufficient capacity with compressed/ bolted ends incl-uding uncoiling and cutting of conductors as per the direction of dept. officers.
Manufacturing and supplying RCC(Pre-cast ) slab of size0 .5x0.2 m with height sloping from .075m to 0.05m using cement concrete 1:2:4 20mm metal (Nominal size) and reinforced as per accompanying sketch, engraving 'KSEBL 33KV NLM-FROK',suitably and adequately cured etc. complete as per the standard specifications and direction of Board staff at site.
Conveyance and placing of pre-cast slabs of size 0.5mx0.2mx0.075m to work site from an average distance of 2km including loading, unloading, handling etc. complete as per the standard specications and direction of deptl. Officers.
Casting and erecting 33KV cable route / joint marker, pre cast with RCC 1:2:4 of size 30X10X80cm neatly finished with plastering CM 1:3,12mm thick with neat cement flushing coat as specified by department officers duly encrusted with name as specified including painting with enamel paint, two coats over a priming coat with cement primer including erecting with a depth of 50cm below ground level with a foundation concrete of size 30X30X50cm with CC 1:3:6 etc. complete
Supplying and erecting cable route marker / Joint marker made of 1 mm G I Sheet of size 60x30 cm, welded to M S angle frame of size 25 x 25 x 3 mm with 50 x 50 x 6 mm M S angle as leg 2 m long fitted to 1:2:4 cement concrete foundation block of size 30 x 30 x 60 cm with 20mm broken stone and neatly finished with plastering 1:3 12mm thick with neat cement flushing coat, including painting with enamel paint, two coats over a priming coat and painting letters on the board warning statement as specified by deptl. officers.
Supplying and stacking, 40mm metal for measurement including all cost of material and labour charges.
Laying, spreading and compacting stone aggregate of specified sizes to WBM specifications in uniform thickness of 20cm, hand picking, rolling with 3 wheeled road / vibratory roller 8-10 tonne capacity in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming requisite type of screening / binding material to fill up interstices of coarse aggregate, watering & compacting to the required density.
