REPAIR TO DRAINS, BOUNDARY WALLS, CONCERTINA COILS IN DOMESTIC AND TECHNICAL AREA AT AF STATION CHANDIGARH UNDER GE (AF) CHANDIGARH.

Note :The unit rate quoted by the tenderer under Col No (13) of Sch `A’ (BOQ) unless specifically mentioned otherwise such as labour only/fixing only, for all items of works shall be deemed to be including cost of all materials, labour, tools and plants, testing and commissioning of work in position complete as required for entire completion of work.

Excavating in trenches in soft/ loose soil, n exc 1.5 m wide and n exc 1.5 m in depth; for foundation, etc. or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, etc. n exc 10 sq m on plan and n exc 1.5 m in depth and getting out, complete all as specified and directed by Engrineer-in-Charge.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, leveling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25cm thick each, excavated soil in trenches after the cables have been laid and tested, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Removing excavated soil to a distance not exceeding 50 meter and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.50 meter above the starting point , complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Plain cement concrete (1:4:8), type D-2, using 40 mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregates as in sub base ,foundations, filling and mass concrete, in and including demolition of unreinforced cement concrete in ground floors and paving n.exc 15cm thickness (below or above ground level) and removal of rubbish outside MoD land , complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Brick work with sub-class `B' bricks, straight or curved on plan exceeding 6 M mean radius built in cement sand mortar 1:6 complete in and including demolition of brickwork or stone boulder masonary built in cement mortar including all quoins, arches, pillars etc for the area where unservicable bricks retrived and removal of rubbish outside MoD land , complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Notes: (i) Servicable bricks retrived from demolition of this item shall be used after proper cleaning and washing of old bricks under item No.07 below. (ii) Tile work to be executed in any position or in any patches or as per site requirement.

Brick work with sub class 'B' bricks Fly ash bricks (bricks shall be burnt clay fly ash building bricks as per IS-13757), straight or curved on plan exceeding 6 M mean radius built in cement sand mortar 1:4 complete in and including demolition of brickwork or stone boulder masonary built in cement mortar including all quoins, arches, pillars etc for the area where unservicable bricks retrived and removal of rubbish outside MoD land , complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Notes: (i) Servicable bricks retrived from demolition of this item shall be used after proper cleaning and washing of old bricks under item No.07 below. (ii) Tile work to be executed in any position or in any patches or as per site requirement.

Brick work with sub-class `B' bricks, straight or curved on plan exceeding 6 M mean radius (except bricks) built in cement sand mortar 1:6 complete in and including demolition of brickwork or stone boulder masonary built in cement mortar including all quoins, arches, pillars etc for area where servicable bricks retrived and removal of rubbish outside MoD land ,complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer -in-Charge. Note: Servicable bricks retrived from demolition of item No 5 & 6 this item shall be used after proper cleaning and washing of old bricks.

Rendering 15 mm thick on fair faces of brick work or concrete surfaces in cement mortar 1:4 finished even and smooth without using extra cement in and including taking down cement plaster on brick walls & concrete surfaces & the like including raking out joints, hacking for key, scrubbing down with water etc., any description, and removal of rubbish outside MoD land , complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Notes: (i).Quoted rate shall be deemed to include for necessary scaffolding & formwork for building upto 20.00m high. (ii) No extra payment made to contractor for work in small patches as required at site/as directed.

Rendering 15 mm thick on other than fair faces of brick work or concrete surfaces in cement mortar 1:4 finished even and smooth without using extra cement , complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Notes: (i).Quoted rate shall be deemed to include for necessary scaffolding & formwork for building upto 20.00m high. (ii) No extra payment made to contractor for work in small patches as required at site as directed.

Keyed pointing to new brick walls in cement mortar 1:4 in and including raking out joints/ pointing to brick work in walls or to bricks on edge in floors, surface channels, roofs, etc., complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: Raking out joints in new work is included in the quoted rate for new work.

Keyed pointing to old brick walls in cement mortar 1:4 in and including raking out joints/ pointing to brick work in walls or to bricks on edge in floors, surface channels, roofs, etc., complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Preparation of newly plastered surfaces of brick/ stone/ plastered/concrete/Kerb stone and applying two or more coats of 100% Premium acrylic emulsion paint having VOC less than 50 gm/ litre and UV resistance as per IS 15489: 2004, alkali & fungal resistant, dirt resistant exterior paint of required shade with silicon additives @ 1.43 litre/ 10 sqm over and including priming coat of exterior primer applied @ 0.90 litre/ 10 sqm over new surfaces in camouflage pattern , complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Notes: (i) Number of coats and pattern of camouflage shall be approved by GE. (ii) All safety measures for the safety of workers shall be ensured by contractor before execution of work. Insurance of workers shall be got done by contractor before execution of the work and the cost for the same shall be deemed to be included in rate quoted by contractor. (iii).Quoted rate shall be deemed to include for necessary scaffolding & formwork for building upto 20.00m high.

Complete removal of existing treatment of old surfaces of brick/ stone/ plastered/concrete/Kerb stone surface and applying two or more coats of 100% premium acrylic emulsion paint having VOC less than 50 gm/ litre and UV resistance as per IS 15489: 2004, alkali & fungal resistant, dirt resistant exterior paint of required shade in camouflage pattern as approved by GE with silicon additives @ 1.43 litre/ 10 sqm over and including priming coat of exterior primer applied @ 0.90 litre/ 10 sqm over old surfaces , complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Notes: (i) Number of coats and pattern of camouflage shall be approved by GE. (ii) All safety measures for the safety of workers shall be ensured by contractor before execution of work. Insurance of workers shall be got done by contractor before execution of the work and the cost for the same shall be deemed to be included in rate quoted by contractor. M S work as Framed works such as grills, gratings etc with ends of bars shouldered and/or riveted, or forged into spikes,framed guard bars barred iron doors ladders, framed balusters walk ways railing, framed work of water tanks, framed and hung as gates including pintle hinges, stops, hand made sliding sliding bolts etc ,drilling bolting or reveting etc and similar work conforming Fe-290 Gde E-165, including dismantling old existing M S works complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in- Charge.

Barbed razor type concertina coil of 600 mm dia (when unstretched) fixed between the existing ‘V’ angle post and barbed wire over security wall /PCC /ground as per requirment with coil of coverage 6.00 running metre per coil, weight of each coil 9.5 to 10.00 Kg hot dip galvanized and binding with and including MS annealed wire of 0.90 mm in and including taking down old unserviceable existing concertina coil , complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing precast cement concrete 1:2:4, type B-0, using 12.5mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregates as in louvres and jallies,25mm thick (measured solid), in cluding all mould- ings but excluding frame in and including dismantling one way trellis work (Jafri) including taking as under of battens in trellis (posts and rails measured separately) and removal of rubbish outside MoD land , complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: Steel reinforcement shall be measured and paid for separetely.

Providing pre-cast reinforced cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-1, using 20 mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregates set in cement mortar 1:6 as in manhole covers including necessary forms/moulds in and including demolition of reinforced cement concrete of any description & in any position and removal of rubbish outside MoD land , complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: Steel reinforcement shall be measured and paid for separetely.

Mild steel TMT bars 10 mm dia and over as in reinforcement cut to length , bent to shape required, including cranking, bending spirally for hooping ends for columns, hooking ends and binding with and including mild steel wire annealed not less than 0.90 mm dia, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer in Charge.

Salt- glazed stoneware drain pipe grade ‘A’ 150 mm bore, ISI marked jointed with cement mortar, laid in trenches and tested including pipe fittings such as bend, junction etc. of same grade in and including demolition and breaking up drain pipe (SGSW / PVC/RCC etc) set in cement mortar of internal dia of pipe 150 mm and removal of rubbish outside MoD land , complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Plain cement concrete 1:4:8, type D-2 (using 40mm graded stone aggregate) as in bed to SGSW pipes of 150mm bore including packing under and haunching against the sides of pipes after they are laid and tested, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Plain cement concrete (1:2:4) type B-1 using 20 mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregates as in Manhole benching ,coping including weathering slightly ropunded or chamfered angles and throating as directed including necessary form work in and including demolition of unreinforced cement concrete in ground floors and paving n.exc 15cm thickness (below or above ground level) and removal of rubbish outside MoD land , complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Cutting into walls of existing manholes for connecting new drain pipe 150 mm internal dia pipe, making good to wall in CM (1:3)/ PCC (1:2:4) after inserting pipe, cutting out benching & forming branch channel (1/2) round or (3/4 section) in cement concrete (1:2:4) type B-1, reforming benching as required and rendering smooth finished, including removal of rubbish outside MoD land, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
