I/We the undersigned do hereby tender for carrying out the work described in the schedule below
subject to the condition annexed.
Should this tender be accepted I/We hereby agree to abide by and to fulfill all the terms and
provisions of specifications and conditions of contract annexed hereto so far as they are applicable
and default thereof to forfeit and pay to the Municipal Corporation the sum of money mentioned in
the said conditions.

BILL OF QUANTITIES
1) The Bill of Quantities shall be read in conjunction with the Instructions to Bidders,
General and Special Conditions of Contract, Technical Specifications and Drawings.
2) The quantities given in the Bill of Quantities are estimated and provisional and are
given to provide a common basis for bidding. The basis of payment will be the actual
quantities of work ordered and carried out, as measured by the contractor and verified
by the Engineer.
3) The bidder must quote his rate above / below the estimated rate specified in the Bill of
Quantities part for each item of work both in words and figures.
4) The rates and prices quoted in Bid in the priced Bill of Quantities, except in so far as it
is otherwise provided under the Contract, include all constructional plant, labour,
supervision, materials, erection, maintenance, insurance, profit, taxes and duties,
together with all general risks, liabilities, and obligations set out or implied in the
Contract and including remedy of any defects during the Defects Liability Period.
5) All rates and sums of money quoted in the Bill of Quantities shall be in Indian Rupees
(Rs) rounded to the nearest whole number.
6) The whole cost for complying with the provisions of the Contract shall be included in
the items provided in the Bill of Quantities.
7) Where no items are provided, the cost shall be deemed to be distributed among the rates
and prices entered for the related items of work.
8) After adjusting the bid prices as stated above, final bid evaluation will be done as
(a) Bidder needs to quote in percentage of rates (above /below as indicated in BOQ) for
each part of BOQ. It is mandatory for further evaluation of bids & payment.
Payment of items of each part of BOQ shall be made as per quoted percentage for
each part of BOQ.
(b) Successful bidder will be decided based on overall percentage quoted above/below
of Total estimated amount as indicated in Vol-II for the complete project.
9) General directions and descriptions of work and materials are not necessarily repeated
nor summarized in the Bill of Quantities. Reference to the relevant sections of the
contract documentation shall be made before entering prices against each item in the
priced Bill of Quantities.
10) The method of measurement of completed work for payment shall be in accordance
with the requirements as stated in the individual sections of the Technical
Specifications.
11) Errors will be corrected by the Employer for any arithmetical errors pursuant to Clause
25 of the Instructions to Bidder.
12) The specification numbers stated in the detailed description of items of works against
each item are indicated for guidance of the Bidders. However, any of the specification
alluded to the specifications referred to in the Bill of Quantities and / or any other
specifications from Vol.3 “Technical Specifications” which in the opinion of the
Engineer are applicable for a particular item is deemed to have been included in the
scope of item and fully covered by the rates quoted for the items. In case of any
discrepancies between provisions stated in the description of individual items and those
covered by the technical specifications, the provisions in the description of item shall
have preference.
13) Rock is defined as all materials which in the opinion of the Engineer, require blasting or
the use of metal wedges and sledge hammers or the use of compressed air drilling for its

Solar Stud: Supplying of Solar Raised
Pavement Markers made of polycarbonate
molded body with circular shape, solar
powered, LED self illumination in active
mode, 360 degree illumination and
reflective panels with micro prismatic lens
capable of providing total internal
reflection of the light entering the lens face
in passive mode. The marker shall support a
load of 20000 kg tested in accordance to
ASTM D 4280. The marker should be
resistant to dust and water ingress
according to IP 65 standards and should
withstand temperatures in the range of 0 C
to 70 C. Color of lighting could be provided
in red or yellow (amber) as per requirement
and typical frequency of blinking is 1 Hz.
There should be current losses of less than
20 microamperes at 2.4 V in sleep-charging
mode to enhance the life of the marker and
a full charge should provide for a minimum
autonomy of 50 hours. The height, width
and length of the marker shall not be less
than 10 mm x 100 mm x 100 mm. Also, the
surface diameter of the marker shall not be

width,0.65cm in thikness and shank depth
shall be 3.4cm.the body structure shall be
rounded at all it's corners and edges.the
plastic used for molding the flexible median
marker should survive impact load 5kg
continuosly for 750 times at room
