Description of equipment/ machine (to be read in conjunction with detailed technical specification in ANNEXURE-III)

Supply, installation and commissioning of Flexural strength Testing Machine (Digital Model, electrically operated) with one gauge of 100 KN capacity, accurate up to 0.5 KN, suitable for determination of flexural strength of concrete beam of size 150 mmx150 mmx700 mm and 100mmx100mmx 500mm by third point loading method in conformity with IS:516&ASTMC78. It shall be provided with self aligning roller assembly with roller position as mentioned in IS: 516 Clause8.2.1 in order to maintain the specified span lengths. The machine should have such arrangements so that the force applied to the beam shall be perpendicular to the face of the specimen without eccentricity and equipped in such way that the load may be applied without shock and increased continuously at a rate of approximately 4KN/Min for 150mmx150mmx700mm specimen and at a rate of 1.8 KN/Min. for 100mmx100mmx500mm specimens. The gauge should have latest calibration certificate from authorized NABL accredited Institution. It shall consist of the following accessories complete. a) Tamping bar, conforming to IS:10086-1982, of square section with tamping face 25±0.5 mm square and 400±2mm long and weighing 2 Kg shall be made of mild steel and provided with ahandle-1 (one) No. The machine should be suitable for operation on 220V, 50Hz, Single phase AC supply.

Supply, Installation and commissioning of Blains Air pearmeability Test Apparatus shall consisit of i) A permeability cell consis of a rigid right cylinder 12.7±0.1mm inside diameter constructed of austentic stainless stell or other abrasion resisting, no corroding metal. The top and bottom face of the cell shall be flat and normal to the axis of the cylinder. The internal wall of the cell shall be smooth, true and vertical with a finish of 0.8 micron. A ledge 0.8±0.2mm in width shal be an integral part of the cell ii) Perforated disc shall be constructed of non corrodible metal, preferably brass or austentic stainless steel and shall be 0.9±0.1mm in thickness, perforated with 30 to 40 circular holes, each 1mm in diameter iii) Plunger shall be of same material as the cell and shall fit in to cell with a clearance of not more than 0.1mm iv) Filter paper disc shall be of medium corrocity (mean pore diameter 7micron corresponding to No 40 Whatman) v) the U-Tube manometer shall be as per IS -5516-1969 including all assessories as perIS -5516-1969 and calibration certificate

Supply, Installation and commissioning of Crushing Value Apparatus, conferming to IS: 2386(part-IV)-1963 the apparatus for the standard test shall consist of the following: i)A 15cm Diameter open ended steel cylinder, with plunger and base-plate, of the general form and diamensions. The surface in contact with the aggregate shall be machined and case-hardened or otherwise treated so as to have a diamond (VH) Pyramid hardness number of not less than 650 VH. ii) A straight metal tamping rod of circular cross-section 16mm in diameter and 45 to 60 cm long , rounded at one end. iii)A balance of capacity 3 kg, readable and accurate to 1 gram iv)IS sieve of sizes 12.5,10 and 2.36mm. v) A compression testing machine capable applying a load of 40 tonnes and which can be operated to give a uniform rate of loading so that the maximum load is reached in 10 minutes. The machine may be used with or without a spherical seating. vi) Standard Reference materials of OPC, PSC and PPC vii)For measuring the sample, cylindrical metal measure of sufficiant rigidity to retain its form under rough usage and of the following internal diamension: Diameter 11.5 cm & height 18.0 cm. the rate is inclusive of conveyance, taxes and calibration charges.

Supply and commissioning of Bouyancy Balance with Electronic balance-10 Kgx 0.5 gm, with density basket ,water tight cylinder and electronic balance of 10 kg x 0.5 gm sensitivity. The balance will be with under hook weighing arrangement and will be mounted on suitable table to facilitate the test. the water tight container will be mounted on a mechanical jack, which will facilatate the up-down movement of the container for weight in air and water. The cost including Calibration certificate from NABL accrediated farm. As per EN12390-7,BS1881:114,IS:2386 (Part-III)

Supply and commissioning of Mixer Machine (Pan type) 40 ltr Capacity, Electrically operated,with arrangement for pan to be rotated about vertical axis with the help of a motor,minimum 2 HP capacity,provided with smooth mixing paddles to ensure uniform and efficient mixing of cement and aggregate to produce concrete of uniform consistency. the mixer should be use for mixing any material both in dry & wet conditions and suitable for mixing small quantaties of concrete in laboratory. The Mixer should have a tilting facility which helps the operator to acces the pan content conveniently & emptyong the mixer after completion of the operation and should be transportable on wheels. It should have openable lid at the top of the drum to provide maximum acces to the operator and easy cleaning. The machine should be suitable for operation on 440V,50Hz,three phase AC Supply.

Supply, Installation and commissioning of Acclerated Curing Tank, The internal dimension of which shall be adequate to accommodate and properly handle 6 nos of concrete cube of size 150mm x150 mm x150mm consisting of a rectangular double walled metal cabinet ,inner chamber made of minimum 1mm thick stainless steel and outer chamber made of 20 SWG Galvanised sheet-powder Coated with Minimum 50 mm gap between the wall filled up with special grade glass wool for insulation purpose , hinged lid mounted with heater , re-circulation pump-cum stirrer,thermostat, digital temprature indicator, a mechanical arragement to extract the cubes from hot water of curing tank and all other accesories required for accelerated curing by boiling water method having temprature range 100± 2°C and accelerated curing by warm water method having temprature ranges 55± 2°C as per Indian standard:IS 9013. the accelerated curing tank should have latest Calibration Certificate by NABL accrediation Institute.

Supply of Cylindrical Metal Measure of 3 litres,15 litres,and 30 litres capacity,conforming to IS:2386(Part-III), suitable for determination of bulk density or unit weight of aggregates. The measure shall be calibrated and machined to accurate internal dimensions as per Table-1 of IS:2386(part-III) and shall be provided with handle. It shall be watertight,made of steel of sufficient rigidity to retain its form under rough usage and provided with a straight metal tamping rod of cylindrical cross section,16 mm in diameter and 60 cm long, rounded at one end.

Supply and commissioning of DLC Vibrating Hammer(electrically operated) ,suitable for compaction of Dry lean concrete(DLC) sample in a mould as per the method described in IS: 516,with a provision of applaying compaction uniformaly for 60± 5 second with adownword force between 300N to 400 n on each of three layers of the lean concrete placed in mould and consists of a square tamping foot having an area between 7500-14000 sq.mm,conforming to Clause.903.5.1.1 of MOR&TH specification 5th Revision. The machine should be suitable for operation on 220V,50Hz,single phaseAC Supply.

Supply, Installation and commissioning of Vibration table of 75 cm x75 cm size,suitable for proper compaction of cement concrete cube in mould of 150mm size with the help of a specially designed vibro motor. The table top should be suitable to hold cube mould of six numbers & have stops along its edge to prevent moulds from sliding off the table during operation. The machine should be suitable for operation on 220V,50Hz, single phase AC Supply..

Supply of Rapid moisture meter, The unit must consists of a pressure vessel with clamp for sealing cap, rubber sealing gasket, pressure gauge calibrated in percentage moisture content 0-25% x 1% on the wet weight basis, a counter poised balance for weighing sample, a scoop for measuring carbide reagent ,a bottle of regeant, one cleaning brush and a set of 4 steel balls (3 of 12.5mm and 1 of 25mm dia) for through mixing .complete in highly polished wooden carrying case with handle etc As per IS:2720(part-2)/IS:12175.

Supply, Installation and commissioning of Universal Digital Penetrometer (Digital) with automatictime controller, to control duration of penetration pre-set to 5±0.1 s as per IS:1203, for determination of penetration of bitumen .It should consisting of a aluminium casting base with levelling screw on which a vertical pillar mounted,a hesd together with dial graduated in 40x0.1 mm divisions,a plunger rod &a needle-straight,highly polished hard steel rod mounted in brass shank truncated in shape which should slide without friction on the pillar and can be clamped at any desired height. A metal cylindrical,flat bottom container of 55 mm diameter 7 35 mm internal depth and weight of 50 gm &100 gm are to be provided. The machine should be suitable for operation on 220V,50Hz, single phase AC Supply.

Supply, Installation and commissioning of Asphalt Mixure (electrically operated) , suitable for mechanicla mixing of various ingradients of the bituminous mix such as coarse aggregates,fine aggregates/filler and Bitumen etc. to prepare marshal specimen in the laboratory for bituminous mix design. The machine should have the requisite arrangement for Uniform & Through mixing of the ingredient weighing 20000 gm. the machine should be able to maintain the required tempratore ranging from 150 °C to 180 °C, suitable for various grade / type of bitumen and be able to provide a well coated , homogeneous mixture of the required amount in one batch in the allowable time with out any loss of materials. the machine should have suitable heating arrangement to maintain the above range of temprature and also have the mechanism to smoothly feed the ingradient s and deliver the output (bituminous mix) and also have the facility to clean the inside of the mixer machine after use with out any difficulty. The machine shall have suitable speed control as well as other mechanism for roatating and revolving the ingradients in such a way that there will be uniform mixing ,coating of mix without any segregation and capable of delivering the desired bituminous mix suitable for marshal mix desigh. The machine should be suitable for operation on 220V,50Hz, single phase AC supply.

Supply of Elastic Recovery Mould with base plate. Made of Gunmetal and conforming to IS:15462-2004 and IRC-SP-53-2002.

Supply and Commissioning of Centrifuge extractor (manual) ,conforming to ASTM D 2172, for quantative extraction of bitumen from Bituminous paving Mixtures consisting of a bowl ,made of Cast Aluminium, mounted on vertical shaft with minimum carring capacity of sample of 1500 gm . A filter paper dish is pressed in between bowl and cover plate by tightening a curled nut. The whole assembly or system should be enclosed in a cast Aluminium body. In this apparatus , the bowl should be revolved at controlled variable speed up to 3600 rpm. The speed should be controlled with pre-set speed control mechanism. the extractor should be provided with an outlet/drain for draining the solvent thrown out from the bowl and it should be supplied with aset of 25 filter paper ring.

Supply and commisioning of Compact Core drill Machine with 6HP petrol engine for drilling through Hard rock, Concrete, Bitumen, tiles, marble etc and for obtaining core for laboratory sample with minimum capacity of core cutting of 75mm diameter and 450mm length concrete & Bituminous surface core along with all other accessories such as a) Dimond core bit 152x450 mm b)Dimond core bit 102x450 mm c) Dimond core bit 77x450 mm d) stand for holding core cutter machine. e) Water supply unit f) Hammer drill machine. g) Hammer Drill Bit h) Anchor fastener and any other accesories required for functioning of the said machine etc. complete.
