The retro reflective sheeting should be used on the sign board shall consist of approved colour sheeting having smooth surface. It shall be weather resistant and exhibit fastness. It shall be new and unused and show no evidence of cracking, scaling and pitting, blistering, edge lifting or curling and shall have negligible shrinkage or expansion. When totally wet, the sheeting shall show not less than 90 percent of the values of retro reflection. At the end of 7 years, the sheeting shall retain at least 80 percent of its original retro-reflectance. The messages (letters, numerals, legends, logo, borders etc) shall be screen-printed or cut out from durable transparent overlay. (xx) Workmanship : Tightly bolted or welded to suitable post.
